1. Return to allowing "Hide Tools" on initial view

   We distribute password-protected PDFs. One of the setting I've always used for the initial view is "Hide Tools." This not only preserves an uncluttered interface, but also prevents viewers from thinking they will be able edit the PDF. I was very surprised to see this option disappear. Please allow this setting again!

2. Horrible new layout

   One moment, I was using Acrobat to review and edit page proofs for a medical journal I handle and the next moment all my customization was gone! No toolbars, nothing I need to do my job. All gone! Additionally, the new layout is HUGE and unwieldy. I want to be able to sort through several PDFs to compare pages and revisions. Now, I have one page taking up the middle of my screen and this giant blank workspace all around it. Where did everything go? Why did Adobe completely change everything after years of a familiar, but ever updating application? Did some genius in Marketing determine it was looking "dated"? Who cares!!! Acrobat is the best tool for the job and anyone who is willing to spend the money to use Acrobat DC instead of the free reader wants this tool to work the way it always has every time the application is opened.

   Put it back! Put it back the way it was! NOW!

   As is, I now have to stop doing what I get paid to do so that I can figure out how this new version works and struggle to restore some of the tool settings I AM DEPENDENT ON to do my job. Thanks Adobe! You really screwed things up.

3. Layout changed on update and i dont like it

   Literally everything is in a new place and I can't find anything. The stuff i need to look at the most is now way over on the side of my screen instead of being in the center. The icons have been redesigned and now i have to mouseover things to know what they are. Stuff i need is hidden away in corners. Completely un-intuitive. No way to adjust layout. It's taking me longer to do what i need and now i have to complain about it to you too.

4. New Interface Sucks on Desktop

   Your new "internet/mobile friendly" interface being forced on desktop users is bad customer service. It makes me seriously consider using/purchasing a competitor's product and never coming back to Adobe.

5. The new interface is terrible!

   The new user interface / page design is terrible! The new tool and zoom locations make mouse movements awkward and less fluid. Please change it back. There was nothing wrong with how it was.

7. new layout is a bust. let us go back!

   PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let us go back to the previous layout.

   It's not that easy to learn a program to the point of being very efficient and once you do, you do NOT want someone to go in and move things all around. Especially when the move makes NO SENSE.

   This new layout is atrocious and there's no way it came from a daily user. No freakin way.

   The only thing this change/update has accomplished is frustration on the part of your user. Can't think of anyone who would see that as a good business move.
   Change is hard, yes. Most changes can be adapted to without too much trouble or time - but the learning curve on what you've just done is ridiculous. NOT. A. FAN.

   LET US CHOOSE OUR LAYOUT.

8. not user or eye friendly

   The design of the previous version was more eye and user friendly. Don't like the way this one looks at all! I'm having to look for things that were easy to find! Go back to the previous design and modify from that. It feels like you went in reverse instead of upgrading the program.

    why would you do this with no warning or training in the middle of the workday? no doubt a dumb idea by a gen z intern who doesnt depend on this for any ACTUAL work, because what individual with any common sense would have done this to thousands of workers? I'll bet this BS dropped the NASDAQ a point or two. #ADOBEIDIOTS

11. Duplex and reverse pages don't play well together

    Acrobat should behave logically: If I get 5 sheets of output when printing normally, I should get those same 5 sheets -- only in reverse order -- if I click the "Reverse pages" option. For duplex printing, the current implementation makes no sense.

    Suppose a 3-page document. With normal page order we get:

    Sheet 1: Page 1/Page 2
    
    Sheet 2: Page 3/blank.
    

    With "Reverse pages" we SHOULD get:

    Sheet 1: Blank/page 3
    
    Sheet 2: Page 2/Page 1
    

    But what we actually get is:

    Sheet 1: Page 3/Page 2
    
    Sheet 2: Page 1/blank
    

    Yes, there is a circumstance under which that would be desirable: If the pages in the PDF were in reverse order. I contend that is NOT a common occurrence. (And if the pages were in reverse order, it would be simplest to "print" them to a new PDF with the "reverse pages" option selected, which would put them back in the correct order.

    There is a workaround: Add a blank page at the end of the document. But for hopefully obvious reasons it would be better to fix the program.

    Not convinced this is a logical error? Then look at how Acrobat handles "Multiple" printing. I have a document that, when printed 4-up, has two full and two blank pages on the final sheet. If I switch to "Reverse pages," the sheets come out in reverse order -- but the "final" page (which now prints first) still has two full and two blank page images in exactly the same places as before. If the Multiple printing option used the same "logic," then when selected "Reverse pages," the first sheet out would contain 4 page images and the last sheet out would have 2 full page images and 2 blanks.

13. New PDF viewer is terrible

    What have you done to my ADobe viewer?
    It just changed in the middle of the day!
    I dont know how to use this "new" version
    Whoever thought of this is terrible idea
    Now i have to try and figure out all new way to do the PDFs
    Please put it back to NORMAL!!!
    I can;t find anything.
    If its not broken, why are you trying to "fix" it?

14. This new interface sucks

    Congratulations on complicating something that should be really straight forward. At least make everything editable, so I can keep the buttons I use more as shortcuts. The pages navigator and zoom being on the right side is just plain stupid.

15. Very confuse about the new acrobat

    I almost got a heart attack. I was working on a pdf, then I opened a new document and the Acrobat interface was completely different.

    I use Acrobat every day and the new interface is too different from the old one. Tools are difficult to find because they have been placed somewhere else.

    I definitely don't have time to learn how to use a new software. I didn't not appreciate to be face to this suddent change without any warning.

    It would be better to give user the option to customize the left and right pannels. If it's already possible, please make it easier to figure out.

    I finally found how to reverse it, but i am very disapointed. Hope that I will be able to keep the old interface. Because if I have to learn how to use a new software, I'll go for a cheaper option.

16. Repetitive Exception Error

    When I edit a document to fill in boxes, I repetitively have to work through an exemption processing error for every key stroke. I don't know how to get past this except to use an older version.

17. Fields panel

    Please make the Prepare Forms/Fields panel able to increase size side to side. I use long names for the fields and need to see them in whole. I use a wide monitor and don't need to see as much pasteboard when I work fill fields. The Comments panel can stretch side to side and I could really use that ability with the Fields panel.

19. Security settings and filed formatting removed by Safari

    When I click on a secure pdf and it opens in Safari, filling in any form field and then downloading will remove all security settings and field formatting. Date fields become text fields, font size becomes too large, file name appears instead of document title. If no form fields are clicked or filled in and it is immediately downloaded all the security settings and formatting remains intact as expected. Completing a fillable pdf in a browser and then downloading should not retain any values entered, nor should it remove the security settings of the document. This bug renders Adobe security settings null, and quite frankly needs to be addressed immediately by Adobe.

20. Circling Items

    When i circle an item and go to print the circles do not show up. Be nice if the circles would print, so i do not have to print and circle by hand.
