1. rename split page files

   Lets say I have a pdf file called ABC.pdf that has 3 pages. I want to extract this file into 3 separate PDF files with each one page. This can be easily achieved by the split tool as I demonstrated to the sport technician as well. This issue is complicated by output file names.

   The solution I am looking for is that I want the output files to be named in a specific manner, say I want to call them TT001, TT002, TT003. In other words I want to define a naming schema for the files with the specific prefix (TT) followed by serial number increments, (starting at 001, or 2180..2181..2182 etc).

2. right mouse click from taskbar to close program ends in freeze

   Bug report - multiple times when I have more than one PDF open (separate windows) and attempt to close ALL documents by right-mouse-clicking on the Adobe tab in the taskbar, AND if I've made changes to a document and not saved it, the whole program freezes up and I need to force the program to end.

3. Organize Pages gets stuck in center of page

   While using the Organize pages feature, the icon "Organize Pages" will get stuck in the middle of my screen. I will then have to have task manager kick out Acrobat and restart the application. See attachment:

4. Change it Back

   The new changes have messed everything up. It makes editing very frustrating. Specifically adding text to the pdf. It worked very well before, but now it is a mess. I can't add text where I want. It's too easy to accidentally drag existing text around and alter the form. The font size has to be changed for every text box, because it goes back to the tiny default size. The line spacing is no longer easy to adjust, and it doesn't save your preference. It's awful. PLEASE change it back.

5. Bug with Acrobat Chrome extension when using Chrome's search side panel feature

   Hello,

   I'd like to report an issue with the Adobe Acrobat Chrome extension.

   The following describes the usage of Chrome's search side panel feature: searching for something via the address bar, selecting one of the search results, and then clicking on the Google icon in the address bar with the hover-over text "Open search in side panel". This opens a side panel showing the search results (a bit of an odd design for the feature in my opinion, but whatever) in addition to the main area containing the current web page.

   The issue is that as the side panel appears the main area is taken over by the Acrobat extension, showing nothing but a white page. Clicking on one of the search results from the recently opened side panel works well and replaces the white nothing in the main area. The URL I get is chrome-extension://efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/data/js/extn-utils.html.

   The expected behavior is for the Acrobat extension not to be triggered at all, and for the main area to keep displaying the current web page.

   I'm running Adobe Acrobat Chrome extension version 15.1.3.32 on Google Chrome 64-bit version 108.0.5359.125 (on a Windows 11 build 22621.963).

6. Display proper roman numeral page numbers

   Is there no way to properly display the page number labels in the "Go to a specific page number" box (the circled area of the attached screenshot)? For example, I'm on page ix, which is properly labelled ix (as shown in the Pages panel), but the box shows "9" rather than "ix". (I do realize this is because it's the ninth literal page in the file.) Then if I actually go to page 9, that gets displayed as "21". Although, note that I'd have to scroll away from page ix in order to type "9" in that box and actually get to page 9(/21). If I'm still on page ix and I type "9" into the box and hit enter, I just remain on page ix. Seems like quite the silly flaw. In previous versions, the roman numeral page numbers displayed correctly and this wasn't an issue.

7. PDF compare tool does not play nicely with footnotes

   When comparing two pdfs, identical text will be marked as changes if footnotes have changed location (by changed I just mean bumped to the bottom of a different page due to increased or decreased length, even though the marker is the same place in the text).

   This is a function of the fact that Adobe sees footnotes as part of the text and so thinks the ordering of the text has changed.

   This is related to the issue where Adobe does not maintain footnote status of smaller text at the bottom of a page (often under a line) when exporting from PDF to Word.

12. Password incorrect message appears for the correct password

    I have a password protected pdf. I can open it with the correct password. Then I tried to remove the protection going through below steps.

    1. Tools

    3. Advance options
    4. Security properties
    5. Changed security method to "No security"

    At the fifth step, I got a prompt to enter the password again. I entered the same password I used to open the document, but it says the password is incorrect.

    I checked for non-functioning keys of my keyboard and Caps Lock key. I am sure I entered the correct password.

    Today(13th Dec 2022) I upgraded to Adobe Acrobat pro.

    My password is something like this(not the exact one) : 26May1996235683

14. Single Page Continuous HORIZONTAL

    Hundreds of thousands of businesses use flowcharting software (such as draw.io, Visio, LucidChart, etc.) that allows you to create HORIZONTAL flowcharts, project management swim lanes, and more.

    Unfortunately, Acrobat currently only allows VERTICAL "Single Page Continuous" scrolling in the Page Layout options.

    For multipage horizontal documents, it's hard to track the right side of the previous page with the left side of the current page.

    I'm proposing an additional Page Layout option called "Single Page Continuous Horizontal" (and maybe rename the current option to "Single Page Continuous Vertical) that allows us to scroll HORIZONTALLY through ALL pages in a document.

    Viewing 2 pages side-by-side is not enough for a horizontal document that spans 3 or more pages. There is always a disconnect between the even and odd pages that is hard to connect in your mind.

    Attached are examples of some wide files that are hard to read squeezed onto a single page, and would benefit from being printed on multiple pages (with no margins) and viewed with Acrobat with the ability to scroll horizontally.

    Next, who was the genius that came up with the idea to, when text is placed on an image, the app automatically breaks up that block of text into multiple blocks of text, thus making any editing or relocation a real pain **********. I can't believe this ridiculous bit of code survived the upgrade to this new version. Please explain to your customers just how this feature is supposed to be helpful because i can think of no way that text placement and editing is better affected by this feature. This feature is nothing but a tremendous aggravation and i wish you at least had the wisdom to allow the user to remove or disable it.

16. The Optimize PDF tool alters images in figures

    Using the Optimize PDF to change PDFs for "Fast Web Viewing", removes text in images and figures. I've attached an example

18. bug report - droplet not created - adobe acrobat pro

    if you create a fixup with a custom icc profile (any profile) in the "assumed profile", acrobat will not create a droplet. anywhere else, no problem.
    this happens on windows 11 and 10. current acrobat version.
    no such problem on my mac.
    solved by down grading to version 2019 32bit.
    attaching a screenshot.
    please fix so i can return to current version :)

20. Preflight window does not work in Windows 11

    STEPS TO REPRODUCE

    • Install Acrobat DC on Windows 11 using Creative Cloud client.
    • Open PDF
    • Go to Print production tools.
    • Click Preflight

    ENVIRONMENT

    • Windows 11 64-bit.
    • Have tried physical machine and virtual, Windows Pro and Home, Service pack 1000.22638.1000.0 and 1000.22636.1000.0.

    EXPECTED RESULT

    • Preflight window opens, listing various preflight options & profiles.

    OBSERVED RESULT

    • Preflight window (without profiles) opens in background, but is immediately followed by an error message: "Unable to copy the user specific preferences:" and an OK button. Clicking the OK button closes the Preflight window.

    • Trying repeatedly to open the Preflight panel eventually leads to an empty Preflight window with no profiles. It seems whatever snag the system gets stuck on, it only attempts each step once then gives up.

    • I have tried resetting Acrobat. Completely uninstalling. Installing in a fresh, clean virtual machine running Win11. Removing all user settings in AppData\Roaming, Local and LocalLow. Nothing.

    • The only thing that "works" is running Acrobat in a virtual Windows 10 machine. Which makes me conclude the problem is an incompatibility with Windows 11…
