2. (offer to) add PDF/UA flag to PDF when it passes the Accessibility Check

   From reading the Adobe replies on the community forum, I understand that Adobe prefers not to add the PDF/UA 'flag' (an XMP identifier) automatically because accessibility conformance should involve manual checking.

   I don't agree with this rationale.

   Accessibility Check includes some steps which must be performed manually (e.g. color/contrast, read-order). The GUI offers a way to mark these steps as complete. It's a matter of trust. That's ok.

   So let's say all tests are passed. Why not add the PDF/UA flag at that moment? Perhaps when all steps are passed, a query dialog could appear? Or just enable a checkbox in the save dialog? Something like that. Why not just make it easier?

   The current process of adding the flag is poorly documented and error prone. Worse: Acrobat gives no hint that it needs to happen before a document is well-formed PDF/UA.

   And what if I shift my process left, working with templates and design systems to make sure that my color/contrast is good, and that appropriate tags are being produced. What if my process generates dozens or hundreds of such documents?

   Why should these all be checked manually? If there is way to automate this, please document it (with any caveats).

6. Automatic text no longer works

   Until today, when I used the add text feature in fill & sign, text would automatically pop up. I use this feature multiple times a day. Now I have to retype the same thing over and over. This is going to cost me lots of time in my day, as I do this about 20 times every single day. Please restore the feature.

7. Prevent saving the signature on Digital Certificate automatically every time.

   We trying to use a digital signature field to centralize the signature into a particular location and we need this signature to be printed only in the pdf file. So that the next time a new signature is inserted, the old one will not be available to the user.

8. Option to rotate text callouts after inserting from another PDF

   When I copy text callouts from one PDF file to another, often times it is rotated the wrong way upon insertion. To fix this, I usually have to make a new comment instead and only copy-paste the actual text. This is very annoying, and there should be a feature that enables you to rotate these comment objects on the page to make them upright again. Or just automatically detect which way is upright upon insertion.

9. The Search & Remove Text action is broken

   The Search & Remove Text action (in the Action Wizard) stopped working. I've tried everything, and it just doesn't highlight all of the words any more like it used to. It misses obvious things.

   I used to use that action with the JavaScript "Find and Mark Batch Processing (Actions) script" by Thom Parker, WindJack Solutions, Inc. for Adobe Systems Inc., www.adobe.com. It won't let me attach the action, but the exported action file is called "Find and Highlight Words.sequ".

   I've been using this for years to quickly highlight key words that need to be updated in old docs and for quickly "editing" docs by new employees not yet familiar with our House Style keywords.

   This is critical for me, and would be for any legal writers, too. Please fix this! Thank you!

10. Action Wizard - Can No Longer Drag-and-Drop Selected Files from Windows File Explorer

    In Acrobat X Pro, users were able to drag and drop files from File Explorer onto the "Select Files" window of a selected action. That functionality is not working in Acrobat DC Pro (2022.002.20191).

    1. Activate an action that prompts for files.
    2. For legacy-version actions, notice that a window appears. For actions created with the current version of Acrobat, notice that the right pane displays the details of the active action, and the active file (if one was open before step 1).
    3. For legacy version actions, click the "Next" button. Notice that the "Select Files" window appears as expected.
    4. Drag a PDF file from File Explorer, to the "Select Files" window (legacy version actions), or to the "Files to be processed" box in the right pane (current-version actions). At this point, the cursor shows "Copy".
    5. Drop the file in the box. At this point the user expects to see the file added to the list of files to process.
    6. Notice that in the legacy version actions the dragged file is NOT added to the list, and in the current version actions, the file just immediately opens in Acrobat and the Actions Wizard disappears.
    7. For current-version actions, repeat steps 1 and 2.
    8. Click the "Add Files" button.
    9. Browse to select the files to add.
    10. Click the "Open" button. Notice that the files are added to the list.
    11. For more files in other folders, repeat steps 8-10.
        

    Notice that in Acrobat X Pro, by dragging and dropping from multiple windows, search results, etc. adding files was very rapid and easy. But, in the current version of Acrobat DC Pro, it is much slower and far more cumbersome to do.

    This new behavior is very frustrating and makes doing batch jobs much more difficult - especially when trying to add files from search results in File Explorer or file management (e.g. PDM) software. A task that was easily accomplished quickly for many files in different directories/storage locations is now a tedious, repetitive, slower, and more difficult task.
    Please restore the drag-and-drop functionality that existed in Acrobat X Pro.

11. Ability to disable e-signatures on PDF

    I would like to request for the ability to disable e-signature when creating an Adobe Sign. It sound like a weird request, but handwritten signatures are the ONLY acceptable form for some project.

13. Autosave is a failure

    The idea is not novel - an autosave function that actually autosaves. I have the pretend autosave Adobe offers enabled and set for every 3 minutes, and twice I have lost all changes in a document with no evidence of where the mystical autosave files are located. Wasted hours and genuine disgust with this failing

14. Include Direct Installer links for Acrobat DC to the Adobe Admin Console Create a Package options

    The "Create a Package" option of the Adobe Admin Console's Packages link for enterprise licenses only offers a "Self-Service Package" that does not allow for MECM deployment and Customization Wizard customizing, or a "Managed Package" that also forces the Creative Cloud Application Desktop Manager.
    Please include the third option of a Direct Installer Package that allows us to find, download, and customize an Adobe Acrobat-only installation (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html).

15. tab name is not updating to save file name

    I used a template file "Invoice template" and have been saving new files with updated names with the "Save As" feature.

    Once I have saved my computer recognizes the file in the folder with the correct name but once I open in AQC the tab still has the "Invoice template" name referenced on the tab and no name for the updated file name.

16. Requesting Feature for editing Sheet Music on PDF

    I would like to suggest an idea for Adobe Acrobat. The suggestion would be to allow people to insert vector lines and basic shapes to a PDF file. This vector lines and shapes could help us folks that may be looking at sheet music and or make a musical note correction to the sheet music. Also, allow a plug-in to insert musical notes and other music iconography onto a blank PDF file of sheet music. Adobe Acrobat can really be used by the music industry all around the world if they only can see the power and simplicity of using Adobe Acrobat.

    I know I can kill it in Activity Monitor - but it still shouldn't happen.

18. Fix comment feature!

    When you spend hours reviewing and adding comments, no matter how many times you save as you go, Adobe Acrobat Pro DC doesn't actually save the comments. When you open the file up later your comments are missing like you never made them. sometimes it saves somethings, most of the time it doesn't save anything. worthless program!

20. Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 won't show a warning that changes haven't been saved before closing

    For example, if you add a comment to a PDF and close Acrobat 2020 Pro, the warning about not saving your work will not appear. This warning was normally displayed on the older version of Pro XI, so it appears in the latest version of DC (both Reader and Pro).
