  1. This covers security also..

I had a very helpful call with support this morning who advised they would pass this idea onto your devs, and I would post it here also.

We use Windows Virtual Desktop, fairly new virtualization service by Microsoft and it would make sense for Adobe to implement the ability to automate a signout from Adobe/Acrobat or a timeout at least for the following reasons.

Our WVD solution contains hostpools(pools of machines), when a user logs in, a random machine will be allocated to the user. For convenience purposes an autosign out would be great.

  2. Adobe Acrobat Pro DC crashes when reducing file size. I get no error message, no compressed file is produced, the original file is unaltered. This happens on multiple different files and is not associated with one particular file. Typically my files have been created originally from a word document (including images), and then have other PDFs inserted as additional pages which originate from excel and autocad.

    OS Name: Microsoft Windows 10
    OS Version: 10.0.18362
    Acrobat Version: 20.6.20042.371103

  3. After creating bookmarks I/ll be happy to see highlighted the word searched by bookmark. For the moment bookmark is giving you a page when the text, but not a single word. If you click double on a word and make a bookmark it is just reverse: click on bookmark and see selected word. Thanks for your concern! Roman

  4. Honestly, I am not sure why I was sent to this area, all I wanted was to get help in drawing a line through a word or text on a PDF document but somehow no one from the technical team was able to help. I thought this would have been a basic feature of Adobe Acrobat, but I guess I was wrong.

  6. Based on a documents layout, the Fill & Sign tool automatically detects where the user may want 'Add Text' in order to fill in static forms, as indicated by a blue highlighted box.
This can be burdensome as sometimes you don't want to add text to those automatically detected "fields", however you are forced to.
Unchecking 'Automatically detect Form Fields' in Preferences>Forms doesn't do anything.
Could there be a way to disable this?

  7. Using Acrobat Pro DC is the biggest headache in the world. You have made this 1,000 times more difficult than Adobe Acrobat Pro X. Adobe Acrobat's team seems incapable to thinking intuitively. I want to create a default font, point size and color setting for all pdf documents I edit in Adobe Acrobat DC, but one must do this for each document based on the website help. if someone replies with an apparent 1, 2, 3 step, that is NOT ADEQUATE. The issue: Adobe Acrobat Pro DC's Team does NOT CREATE AN INTUITIVE ONE STEP INTERFACE. One should NEVER TO…

  10. It would be nice to be able to add and remove folders under Home\Files. Having My Computer, Document Cloud, and my One Drive account is great. However my work is project based and it would be nice to easily access certain folders then remove them when the project is finished.

    Thank you.

  11. We create acronym-heavy PDFs at my company. We often create hyperlinks from the acronyms to the acronym list, but a better solution would be a tooltip-style effect where you could hover your cursor over the acronym and have the definition appear. This is done in HTML with the abbr tag and is quite elegant.
I've tried to accomplish this with a transparent button over the acronym and using a tooltip, but this is incredibly laborious and makes the file size explode.
    Thanks!

  13. When migrating users from a VIP Teams license to a VIP-E license, users will still show they own a Teams license after migration and this is confusing.

  14. At the beginning I like that the comment bar shows every comment on a page as an individual element, which I find to be very useful for long, distinctive comments. However it gets less handy when it comes to minor comments, such as highlighting important words on a page. Each word highlighted, or to say, each mark you’ve made on that page will be shown as an individual comment under the comment section of the page, making the comment list unnecessarily long. I think it would be nice to be able to group or merge some comments together.

  17. Often I am looking at half a dozen different documents that all look very similar with similar content, but are not the same. It would help if I could change the background display colors so I can color code my documents and make sure that I don't get them confused as I am jumping between different documents. I see where the display theme can be changed for the app, but is there a way to change the display color for each file individually?

  18. I’m trying to edit Javascript in an external editor. This has worked for years until just now. I’ve tried Brackets and TextWrangler with the same failure. Acrobat launches the external editor, and waits until the editor process is no longer running. This means that you actually have to quit the editor after saving the document in order to make Acrobat respond to your input again. This is fine, it has always worked in the past. But now when I quit the external editor, Acrobat remains unresponsive because it's waiting for the external editor to close, even though it’s already closed.

  19. Dear Sir,
Please note that Accessibility Settings for enabling Dark Mode don't always work. They do work but in some cases only. Please see the attached images to understand the issue. It's high time that Acrobat DC should officially support Dark Mode / Dark Theme for viewing a pdf in the same way as the feature is supported on Android version of the software. Dark Mode is partially implemented in the product like the Tools Bar and all but not implemented for viewing a pdf. Please address this issue ASAP. Thank you.

  20. I ask my clients to provide edits via PDF comments. Even as a person with normal vision, it is hard to tell which comment bubble is presently active (e.g. via clicking on a comment in the side panel). On images or busy pages it can become like an advent calendar search. The contrast of the bubble background and its dotted border are inadequate (even with opacity set to 100). Contrast between inactive and active (selected) comment bubble needs to be vastly improved, perhaps by size and not just colour.

I would use the PDF comments import in InDesign instead but…
