1. Won't remember magnification setting

   Adobe Acrobat Pro won't remember magnification setting (fit page) after save and close. If I reopen the file after quitting Acrobat it shows the previous default setting. If I force quit and reopen then the change shows. Seems its caching the old settings unless I force quit to clear.

   Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.
   You can get your desired results by following the below steps:
   1) Open a pdf
   2) Right click and go to document properties.
   3) click on initial view tab
   4) Select desired ‘Window options’ & save

   After doing the above steps whenever you relaunch the pdf, you’ll get the desired page fit (you selected).

2. Make it easier to choose to save version with crop and bleed turn on or off

   Crop marks: Make it easier to choose to save version with crop and bleed turn on or off. I frequently have to adjust a print ready file with crops and bleeds not showing and it is time-consuming. Why not have a crop/bleed SHOW or DON'T SHOW function.

4. OMG pleased make the madness stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!

   When opening an Adobe document whether simply to read or to edit, the delays in opening this program while it reaches out to your servers to log in are RIDICULOUSLY slow. Please make this stop! This halts the use of the program in some cases for a minute or more while it tries to connect to your servers to authenticate my subscription. I pay a LOT of money each month for all these corp subscriptions and if this doesn't stop, I don't give a darn how "standard" adobe is in the market place, i'll drop you like a bad habit and move onto something else such as Nitro PDF. This is absolutely INSANE Adobe.. Get your developers to get their heads out of their seat pants and do something simple like putting a token on a machine the first time the program connects to verify subscription status then from that point on, only have the login sequence check that the token exists and that the subscription is still active IN THE BACKGROUND, not halting the use of the application until it does what it needs to do.. This is NUTS and VERY FRUSTRATING!!!

5. Continuous Numbering

   The LexisNexis Adobe CaseMap plug-in allows continuous bates numbering. The plug-in allows you to save the current bates numbering sequence, as well as prefixes, for future use. For example: Let's say one day I bates number a serious of documents (say it ends up being A0001-A0113). And then a week later I need to bates stamp more documents. I click on the name of the series I last saved and then my new files will automatically begin at A0114.

   Since I use the bates stamping tool for legal document productions, this is very important to avoid accidentally producing documents with the same bates number, and to help with any document productions/bates number subsequent to the original productions.

   Since my CaseMap plug-in doesn't seem to want to work with Acrobat DC, it would be nice if Adobe's bates stamping capabilities offered the same option.

6. Quick Print

   Nearly every tool and application I use has the ability to differentiate between Print and Print Preview. In some apps, Print can be referred to Quick Print. Either way, whether Print, or Quick Print, the idea is to print the object without going through the full Print dialogue, it basically prints the object using the last-used parameters.

   Print Preview on the other hand, provides a full menu of choices and is the full printing dialogue.

   I no longer have Acrobat Pro installed on any working machines, so I can't confirm this, but I thought Pro had this time-saving capability.

   So many things about Acrobat DC annoy me, but this lack of capability is probably #1 on my list of painful regressions.

   Please consider adding this capability ASAP.

7. Option to unlink form fields when copying fields or complete page

   When copying form fields, Acrobat automatically makes identical copies. If I copy a page and fill in the first page, the fields on the second page are automatically filled out with the same info. The only way to couteract this without having java scripting knowledge is to manually change the name of every field. This is frustrating when you have 100 fields that need to be identical on 20 pages, but filled out with different info. This should be a standard option. Preferrably while copying, acrobat could ask if you want the new copies linked with the originals or not.

9. "Automatically install update" preference not working

   Trying to set the "updater" preference in Adobe Acrobat on Mac behaves as follows:
   - it seems to be on by default
   - one can try to turn it off. This step calls for an admin password.
   - assuming one gives a correct admin password, the pop-up window closes and it appears that the preference has been changed
   - opening the preference panel again shows that the preference has not been changed; "automatically install updates" is still on

   This error is occurring with both Acrobat Pro DC 2018 and Acrobat Pro 2017. Base O/S is MacOSX 10.12. O/S and Acrobat are at latest patch levels.

11. comment list

    When a select a comment (annotation) in a pdf's page, his correspondance in the comment list is highlight and show in the bottom of the list.
    Is there a way to change that (like all other Acrobat before!!). So when you select the comment his correspondance is show first in the comment list?
    I don't know why that change in Acrobat DC, but it it makes my job really complicated....

12. Boomark/Page Thumbanails

    Can we make it possible to be able to view bookmarks and page thumbnails simultaneously? My department is now using Adobe to aid switching to electronic filing. This would be a huge time saver!

13. Adobe Sign Multiple Field Reassignment en masse

    Adobe Sign should allow you to reassign multiple fields at once. As it is now, it automatically imports fields on a form assigned to "Anyone". In order to reassign the fields to a specific person or to "Prefill" before sending, you must go field by field and change each one. Being able to reassign en masse would be a huge time saver. Also, other options like marking fields as required en masse would help as well.

14. Validation of signed PDFs against (all applicable national) law(s)

    In Switzerland, as in the EU and many other countries, appropriately digitally signed documents in PDF format are legally fully equivalent to paper-based original documents, signed in handwriting by (one or more) signatories in the presence of witnesses.

    STATUS QUO

    Country specific differences in national law applicable to establishing the legal adequacy of digitally signed documents with their paper-based equivalents require country specific validation of digitally signed documents against applicable sets of criteria.

    The following criteria need to be fulfilled, in order for a digitally signed PDF file to be considered VALID in the sense of LEGALLY COMPLIANT with the intended purpose:

    1 - Signature and integrity of the signed file

    The document must be checked to see whether it has been modified since it was signed.

    2 - Revocation status of the signing certificate

    The signed certificate is checked to see if it was issued by a competent, accredited and trusted authority and if it was valid and not revoked (invalidated) at the time it was signed.

    3 - Validity of the time stamp

    A signed time stamp (TSA; Time Stamping Authority) from a recognised provider confirms the time the document was signed regardless of the computer’s system clock.

    4 - Authorised certificate for this document type

    Check whether a document has been signed with an appropriate certificate for the intended purpose

    CHALLENGE

    Some but not all of these legal requirements can be checked and validated by suitable software, such as Adobe's PDF Reader or Acrobat) used for opening and viewing the signed PDF document.

    Whether a particular certificate used for signing a PDF document was legally compliant with all of the country's applicable laws at the time the document was signed, requires validation of the document against an officially approved set of potentially country specific criteria.

    The publicly accessible validator.ch service of the Swiss Federal Administration provides such a validation service free of charge.

    This validator.ch service currently enables 10 different types of digitally signed documents to be validated against all applicable national laws.

    A formal validation protocol can be downloaded in certified PDF format. The validation protocol can be used along with the digitally signed PDF document as evidence to prove its validity.

    Experience with hundres of digitally executed transactions based on digitally signed PDF documents shows :

    Most recipients/readers of signed PDF documents to date will reject the digital document as being "insufficient / not trusted". Most recipients / readers will treat digital documents similar to copies. to be used for information purposes, but not to be relied upon. For lack of trust and better knowledge most recipients / readers still insist on receiving paper signed in handwriting, submitted via postal service rather than e-mail, either instead of or at least in addition to the digitally signed PDF document.

    Experience also shows that most recipients / readers of digitally signed PDF documents will accept such documents and will not insist on additional paper if they receive a validation report along with the signed PDF document. A positive validation report issued in the name of the Swiss Federal Administration never fails to impress the reader / recipient.

    Senders of digitally signed PDF documents can raise the acceptance with recipents / readers dramatically by validating the signed documents using validator.ch and sending both, either as a single PDF portfolio file, or as two separate PDF files . Sending both files as a single PDF file using PDF portfolio file format is most elegant - but may limit recipients / readers ability to open and view the files in non-Adobe browser plugins / PDF readers.

    Providing the two separate files with a common filename but different ending (e.g. -sig and -val) is highly recommended. It facilitates recognition of the "signed document" and its associated "validation protocol".

    SUGGESTION

    Submitting a digitally signed PDF document to an official validation service, such as validator.ch, is currently a manual process that requires some 15-20 seconds for uploading the signed document and downloading the validation protocol through a web interface using a browser.

    The ability to validate a signed PDF document by simply pushing a button, in the application used for creating / signing respectively opening / reading the PDF file, would be most valuable for all users, whether as senders / signatories or as recipients / readers of signed PDF documents.

    In addition to the web interface that validator.ch provides for manual upload of signed PDF documents and download of certified validation reports, validator.ch service can be accessed via API for discrete validation of signed PDF documents. The discrete validator.ch API interface uses cryptographical routines (hash), does not require the document to be uploaded (only the hash) and produced the validation report for a document of any size within seconds.

    Adobe is requested to consider integrating validation functionality by providing a "push button call" to an external official validation service (such as validator.ch) in its Adobe Reader and Acrobat DC products.

15. ACCESSIBILITY

    Every time I try to access my adobe document cloud I'm constantly having to sign in and most of the time it doesn't even open.I mostly use ADOBE for work and it becomes very FRUSTRATING when i try to work and I can't access my documents!!!

16. To be able to search by Folder Name, not just document name.

    Our folders are titled by Client Name, so we need to find FOLDERS, not Documents in the search bar.

    Almost all our folders contain the same document titles for all the separate clients, so searching for a document name does not work at all. We must be able to search by FOLDER NAME in order to use the search function at all.

17. crashes when clicking on Prepare Form

    I have Windows 10 and Adobe Standard v. 2018.011.20038 and when I create a form and click on "Prepare Form" there is a pop up box that says "Adobe Acrobat has stopped working" and then the program shuts down. I have updated the program, clicked on "Repair Installation" and nothing has corrected this issue. Please help!

18. Fix Creative Cloud so It will load

    Fix Creative Cloud so It will load. I have been paying for a subscription since 2015 and two months ago it quit working. Yeas all applications. It will not let me reload or sign in. Tech support was useless. Every body wants to point the finger else where. Either it works or it don't - right now it don't help!

19. Acrobat Reader/Pro do not properly support word-by-word selection in macOS

    1. Open a PDF containing text in Acrobat Reader or Acrobat (18) in macOS (10.12.6) on the Mac (also applies to other versions).
    2. In order to select a string of words, double-click on the first word and, without releasing the mouse button, drag in the required direction to extend the selection.

    Expected Result: Acrobat should select the word you double-clicked on, and THEN extend the selection word by word based on the direction of the dragging.

    Observed Result: Acrobat selects the word you double-clicked on, and then fails to extend the selection.

    The only way to select a string of words is to use single-click-and-drag, which of course requires higher mouse-pointing accuracy.

    It's been a bug for YEARS. No sign of it getting fixed. I've already reported it through other channels, to no avail. I guess I have to try this channel now.

20. I do not want new windows for each document

    I want tabs back, I don't want multiple PDF documents opening up new windows. This is so important to me I purchased another product and convinced my company IT department to replace my Adobe license with that product.
