Federated ID: How can we tell Acrobat DC to sign users in automatically? (SSO)
How can we tell Acrobat to automatically sign the user in? Right now, when the user opens Acrobat the first time, they're asked to sign in, click "sign in with an enterprise ID", type their email address, etc. before they can actually use the SSO piece.
Our users log on to their PCs with the same identity the federated ID will use. Is there a registry key or deployment option we can set that will attempt to sign in with the logged in user's identity? We're trying to make this as seamless as possible for our users.

PDF "initial view" settings not visible in browser OneDrive view better than Document Cloud view
refer case number: ADB-21100118-T0B5
sharing the same file through the Microsoft OneDrive cloud creates a link that uses the full-page preference. Sharing it on the Adobe document cloud ignores the view settings and always defaults to page-width.3 votes -
Forms
I recently updated my Adobe license and noted that the new version no longer provides the 'Actions', 'Format', 'Validate' and 'Calculate' options when I create a new form. Have these functionalities been removed or am I not finding them?

save PDF to same folder as original file
When I right click on a word or excel file and "convert to pdf" it would be better if the new pdf could save to the same folder as the original file by default. There should be an option to allow this, which I found to be a huge time saver when using Kofax Power PDF. The current adobe saving options only allow for using one pre-defined folder, or the last folder that something was saved to. This results in files being saved to the wrong location, or time wasted navigating to different folders every time.

Reinstate button to allow for quick emailing of file.
In a prior version there was a quick button that allowed a user to quickly and easily send the document to an email program to forward to a customer without having to use the Cloud. Would be great to have that option again!

Syncronized scroll
Would be great to have native support for syncronized scrolling - so if i have two+ open PDFs, can scroll pages syncronized, i.e. hit Page Down key and both PDFs go down a page, currently have to click in one PDF, page down, then click second PDF and page down - very cumbersome

Can't Signin/Signout of Acrobat DC Pro
This is a bug report, no a feature request or idea. Asking people to clear cookies & cache is a productivity nightmare. I don't even know if that will work. For whatever reason, Adobe logs me out and won't allow me to log back in. It says my subscription has expired when it hasn't; verified in a support chat. I can do so for the Adobe website, but not the interface that opens PDF's nor the cloud for Adobe. Clearing cache & cookies causes me to have to log back into too many websites I do business with or pleasure and is causing too much extra overhead of time. I belong to way too many websites for that to be the only option. Why not clean up whatever is going on that pushes us out of the system? The 'Sign In' button inside the interface does nothing at the moment and I have to operate Offline. The interface says I'm logged in, but when I try to logout, I get the same connectivity error from inside this product. What does this have to do with my browsers? Tech support personnel are reading scripts that tell us to do things that only cause more of a headache and don't solve the problem. I have repaired the installation to no avail. It's still forcing me to use it in Offline mode. FIX THIS! Not even this forum is letting me submit anything. SMH

Cannot Print - Acrobat Pro on Mac M1
Cannot Print any PDF from Acrobat (Creative Cloud app). It says no pages are selected. I went to User Forum, but the fix there is outdated and not applicable to my OS. It did not work.
This is a recent bug.

Cannot sign PDF with certificate using Adobe Pro DC - SERIOUS BUG.
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 21.005.20058 (and previous versions like 20.009.20063) work OK, but Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 21.005.20058 (latest version) generates the error:
Adobe Acrobat Error encountered while signing
Error encountered while signing
The credential selected for signing is invalid
System: macOS 11.5.1 (20G80) Big Sur.No problem with older Adobe Acrobat Pro DC versions like 2020.009.20063), but error with all newer Pro versions.
This serious bug that blocks productivity workflows has been unfixed for more than a year now, even after reporting it many times. I hope that Adobe fixes it soon. Thanks!

New DC Edit Function
I've recently upgraded to the new DC version from my previous PRO version.
The editing function is unbearable to use, typing in the text box is so slow it's impossible to get anything done/progressed.
Also adding lines and other mark-up boxes shapes seems to be now non-existent.
If Adobe bring out new versions and expect us to pay for the upgrade, surly we should at least expect this to be an improvement on what was there previously and not a backward step, disappointing thus far unless I'm missing something with my upgrade??
Can someone help.

Permit use of freeform highlighter tool on modifier key
Dear Adobe, my organization extensively uses commenting features on PDFs but occasionally the way that text is recognized creates problems for highlighting and text selection; in particular, a common failure mode is to try to highlight a sentence but then text above and below it is also selected as if the text is actually organized as a column.
Notwithstanding the underlying issue, this and other occasions mean that it would sometimes be more useful to be able to use the freeform "marker" style highlighter (with the circular cursor outline instead of the text selector style) regardless of the state of the text in question (not to mention drawings, engineering drawings, etc. where for some reason the freeform style highlighter doesn't work for whatever reason).
I have encountered workarounds online (e.g. pencil tool with less opacity, which dims the text; or special stamps whose aspect ratio can't be changed) that seem unnecessarily elaborate and less functional than simply being able to use the freeform highlighter tool at any time (e.g. by a toggle or modifier key). Thanks!

IDEA - Insert All Links On Page
This is a variation on an existing function in Adobe Acrobat Pro that appears in Tools - Document Processing - Web capture - Append All Links on Page. This function seeks out a linked file or webpage, converts it to PDF, and then appends it to the end of the host PDF file and then internally links/bookmarks the link to that page.
Instead of appending the links to the PDF file at the end and creating an internal bookmark link to the page, this feature would do the same thing but instead attach the file or webpage in the link as a file. This can be done manually via the Tools - Content Editing - Attach File option. It would be helpful to do able to have this done for an entire page or document. Useful options would be to convert the target link to PDF first, or just attach it as a native file.
I work with high volumes of legal discovery electronic documents that I need to file as affidavits or books of documents. eDiscovery programs find the files, but putting them into a formatted and indexed court submission still takes some manual formatting.
Right now create a hyperlinked table of contents in a spreadsheet or wordpro that link to each of the files I need. I convert it to PDF then I can use the 'append all links on page' to convert a hyperlinked Table of Contents into a linked document, but it can be hard to know what file I am looking at since it all becomes one big file. By attaching the file and having the link open that attached file (in a new tab in Reader) I can see which discrete document I am looking at, and all the documents are in one PDF. PDF portfolios do not work for this task as the layout options are primitive and do not read in many PDF readers. Other options would be also to bulk amend/append the file names in the attached list (to add numbers to them) and enable the ability to search all the attached files in the base document search. FIle size is not really an issue.
I'm working on trying to create a javascript to do this, but it would be a super value added feature natively in Acrobat Pro. If anyone has a batch script or action that does this, or can offer some tips, please comment below and thank-you in advance.
AcroPro users since version 3. I still use Acrobat XI on a second PC often because it enables certain functions I can't get in DC Pro.

June 2021 Acrobat update won't copy/paste special characters on Mac
My Acrobat Pro was set to auto update and now suddenly I can't copy/paste special characters.
For example special letters in Spanish, French, German, Danish etc. Instead of letters it just leaves blank spaces in the document I paste into - no matter which application.
I have tested this on three different computers now (Mac), and they all have the same issue (Acrobat version 2021.005.20048).
I tested three other Macs with older versions and they worked fine, like mine did before the update. The above was tested on Macs and it does not matter if it is Mac OS Catalina or Big Sur.
It is the new Acrobat version that causes the problem. This is a very critical problem that needs fixed ASAP!
I am very dependent on this standard feature, as I am sure many others are!Thank you!

Ctrl+f -- different color search results
Please change things around so that one can change the color in which searched for items turn up: a lot of the documents I work with are yellowing, and it makes it literally impossible for me to see where in a large page the word I'm looking for is located. Thank you! Rhodri

Checkbox in Comments Settings for "Auto detect pen hardware to enable markup" is missing
Adobe DC is supposed to have a checkbox in the Comments section of Settings (the last checkbox) that says "Auto detect pen hardware to enable markup". For some reason, it is missing on some of my computers that are using the same Windows 10 operating system and the same current version of Adobe DC. It is very frustrating because the absence of the checkbox means that you can't immediately markup a document with a pen and instead need to click through several layers of buttons in the comments section in order to use the pen. It is clearly a "glitch" that is appears in some installations and not others. I have seen that other people have complained about this also.
