Prepare Form; Tabbing Field Groupings
Problem: When creating a fillable form, you either have to go in order of fields you create or in order of field creation number. When I receive forms that have already been given a great deal of time, the tabbing functionality is not ideal due to the function obeying the rule of field creation/ purposeful placing in the fields scrollbar. This becomes a chore when dealing with hundreds of fields. Ideally at this moment you want to scrap the whole creation and begin in a more formal and tedious recreation.
Solution: Multiple click/drag selectable field grouping. Where you can form the line up of fillable fields you want to correct/ customize, order from Horizontal/ Vertical, Tabbing formation L-R. Order them in the selectable fields, and not have to scroll through the fields option to drag to correct placement/ redo the field numbering.
This could be added in the side panel.

Make Pro DC work with Chromebooks or at least have an interface, so Chromebooks can utilize the web-based version of DC.

Incorrect PDF generated by Distiller
The joined file is a simple image JPEG which has been converted into PostScript with 'jpeg2ps'. The resulting PostScript file is only a wrapper around the JPEG file which is coded in ASCII85 inside. Acrobat Distiller 20.0 (Windows) converts into a blank file. However, it was correctly converted in Acrobat Distiller X and XI. It's also converted correctly by GhostScript. Remark: I have renamed the file image.txt because it was impossible to load a file with the extension ps. However, when changing the extension to ps, it's my file.

Remove comment stickers when save as JPG
When save PDF as JPG format, we can see which has comment stickers on it by default, I think it doesn't make sense since JPG format is not the proper way for reviewing all the comments. Maybe it can be a optional setting for comment existing when save as a JPG.

Please close Acrobat completely when I close last open PDF
As of this morning, when I close my open PDFs (using the X that appears when I mouseover the Windows taskbar), closing the final PDF does not close Acrobat itself. Instead it takes me to the Acrobat home screen.
I don't want this. I want to close Acrobat when I close my final open PDF. I don't see why anyone would want this behaviour, but even if some do, please make it an option (as it has been in the past) to close Acrobat completely when I'm done with my final PDF.
This is an unhelpful and anti-productive change.
EDIT - one thing to add. I just noticed that if I close the PDF using the X in the top right of the open window, it DOES close Acrobat as expected. It's just when I close from the taskbar that the homescreen is shown. And in fact, it only happens when the window is open, but I try to close from the taskbar. The window does not need to be at the front of my open windows, it can be open but hidden behind something else. However, if the window is minimised and I close from the taskbar it works as it should.

Add option to include year along with day and month that appear on comments.
When viewing a document that has comments from a year ago, it would be helpful if the comments had the option to include the year of original posting in order to differentiate. For example, when a document has a comment from July 23, 2020, it only shows as "July 23" within Adobe, making the comment seem more recent.

Latest patch of Acrobat does not display selections from Pitstop Pro
Update on Acrobat Pro, version 2021.007.20091 now does not display selections made by Pitstop Pro.
No options on either software has changed, selections are still made and information about the selections shows on the Inspector window, full functionality of Pitstop Pro remains, however Acrobat will not visually display the highlighted items.1 vote -
upload multiple files to DC in Acrobat Standard Desktop app
Uploading multiple files is not possible in the Acrobat Standard DC app (for Windows). It would be great if a user can upload multiple files from their PC onto the Document Cloud without having to open the files one-by-one.
As seen in screenshot, it is possible to create folders through the Desktop app but not possible to upload multiple files at once. Kindly look into the issue.

Please fix the deskew feature in Adobe Pro DC
I used to deskew in Adobe Acrobat Pro whenever I OCR'ed a document. And the deskewing worked so well: every page would be rotated a tiny amount and usually the improvement was noticeable.
In Adobe Acrobat DC (on macOS 10.15.7), the "Recognize Text" function no longer performs deskewing. So I OCR and deskew using the "Enhance" function under Scan & OCR:
Scan & OCR > Enhance > Scanned Document > Deskew
However it doesn't seem to work. Although the Deskew feature is turned on in Filters under Settings, when I run Enhance, it doesn't actually deskew. (And worse, unless I change the default image quality to High Quality, the image is degraded.) I thought maybe my documents were all 100% aligned. But then I ran into a document that clearly needed deskewing and nothing happened when I deskewed.
It seems to me that from one version to the next, routine tasks should become more convenient to perform. This is not what's happened.
Thanks,

Bug report: "Find" function fails intermittently on large documents
The "Find" text function in the current version of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC fails intermittently when searching for text strings in larger PDF documents. This issue occurs across multiple users on multiple devices, so is not isolated to any individual installation of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. Illustration attached.

Bug with click and type when using Comments in Acrobat on Mac
With the selection tool selected and the comments pane open, you should be able to click and type anywhere in your PDF, and the relevant text edit tool will be applied (strikethrough, replace, insert). This is a great timesaver. On my Mac, though, this works until I press one of the 'problem' keys – such as e, y, i, d, h, j – at which point no mark-up appears and my keyboard is disabled (including the arrow keys) until I close Acrobat and reopen it.
Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix this bug? It doesn't seem to make a difference whether or not 'single-key accelerators' are enabled, and I don't think I have these keys assigned as hot keys in any other programs. With the selection tool selected and the comments pane open, you should be able to click and type anywhere in your PDF, and the relevant text edit tool will be applied (strikethrough, replace, insert). Add ability to change default font for fields in Prepare Form
When using Prepare Form, I have to change the default font and size to my preferences on EACH field I enter. There should be a way to set your preferences for font and size.

It take too long to upload and giving error about file is too large
It's so slow to work with as compare to DocuSign and if I upload couple documents together it says files is too big. it's only 12 pages, very inconvenient.
It should give the separe report for each pdf but when you attach multiple files in one signature then it create a combined file which is creates extra work to separate them or you have to send it individually which takes longer time and too many emails in the inbox and confuse me and my clients.

Cursor Bug
I'm using a 2019 Mac Pro with all the latest Adobe software. When Acrobat is open and in front of the Finder windows and other apps everything is fine but when I click into another app or Finder window, while Acrobat is open in the background, the Acrobat cursor remains visible. Hiding or quitting Acrobat is the only way to restore the correct cursor. When this occurs while working with another Adobe app (e.g. Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) the cursor flickers between the Acrobat cursor and the other program's cursor. There is a flickering cursor bug which has affected Adobe software for many years which has never been fixed. This may be related to that bug.

AATL Trust List not updated
Acrobat is not updating the AATL trust list automatically or even asking when a document that is signed is opened.
There is a checkbox under Preferences > General > Trust Manager > The Automatic Adobe Approved Trust List (AATL) updates. Load trusted certificates from an Adobe AATL Server is checked. This is the default when you install acrobat. It however does not update the list. If you uncheck the box, close Acrobat, then open Acrobat check and reclose and open, it works.
Most users won't know to go here and all documents end up looking like they are not valid.
I would like to submit this bug.
I have seen many posts instructing users to add the certificate manually to the trusted certificates which is a bad idea. Updating the AATL solves this issue for all certificates that are signed using AATL partners.

File release when closing in ACROBAT
I'm working everyday with thousands of PDF files for our repository www.ceeol.com. To maintain my overview in WINDOWS-Explorer, quite often I have to change the file names of the PDF-filess. For example, if I've downloaded 100 PDF-documents from a web page, which are a series of numbered documents, then I want to include the numbering in the file name. To do this, I have to open the files, read the number in the document, close the file again and then rename it accordingly.
PROBLEM:
Renaming is not possible because ADOBE-Acrobat does not release the file, even if I close file AND EVEN the programas such.
Renaming the file the PDF-file is possible only after I've switched to Windows Task Manager where I need to stop manually with "End Task" the processes
* Adobe Collaboration Synchronizer 21.7 and / or
* Adobe AcroCEF
This is very time consuming and annoying. It would be a great advantage if PDF files were actually released after editing and closing them in Acrobat and would not remain not blocked by Windows as if they were still open in ACROBATI'm working everyday with thousands of PDF files for our repository www.ceeol.com. Batch OCR blocking app and interfering with system
The batch OCR feature is simply not fit for purpose and needs completely replacing.
When performing a batch OCR the application is entirely locked into the process and is unable to do any other tasks. Acrobat installs itself as the default PDF viewer, so you cannot even view a PDF by default when the OCR process is running. There needs to be a way to run these batch processes as true background tasks that do not interfere with other Acrobat functions, or the ability to open multiple instances of Acrobat.
The batch process will often crash without warning or error message, I simply come back later and find Acrobat is closed and only a few of my files were converted.
On the Mac (latest OS) when a batch is running it does NOT behave nicely with the rest of the system. It sets the cursor pointer to the 'busy wristwatch' SYSTEM WIDE, not just for when the actual Acrobat app is in focus. It also likes to bring the Acrobat window to the front a LOT, which means you have to drag Acrobat off screen to stop it interfering with other things.
The automation for OCR is clearly a hack that's been put on top of an architecture that was never designed to be automated.
When will we get a modern application that justifies the monthly fees we pay for this?

Export review comments to Excel
The comments compilation remains as a .pdf only. I want to be able to extract shared review comments to an Excel file for further resolutions to be added outside the review. The .fdf and the .xfdf create garbled data content. The export to Word is also with issues. It does not work.
Request a feature that will allow export to a flat-file Excel file.5 votes
