Make straight edges on highlights an option in Commenting preferences
Highlights are currently rounded at the edges, which makes it difficult for editors and compositors to tell whether the highlight applies to surrounding punctuation, spaces, and other narrow characters. Additionally, the blue boxes that appear around the highlights when they are clicked on often extend past the text that was actually selected, which can cause further confusion for those who need to edit things precisely.
Straight edges on highlights would allow for a clearer and more accurate view of what is being commented on. Please make this is an option in the Commenting preferences.

Freehand ink option for annotating PDFs using a stylus/pen, current pencil tool is glitchy.
I have some PDFs that I'd like to be able to draw on, either feedback on work for students or filling in templates. The pencil tool currently available doesn't do this smoothly (view screencapture example https://youtu.be/gr8UZYddzBo ). I'd like to be able to draw/write freehand like I can on a powerpoint presentation, so I can send notes and feedback to my students more easily.

Invert Selection
Please add an 'Invert Selection' option which would change the current page selection such that all pages previously deselected would be selected and vice versa.
Thanks for reading

Enhance the open document preferences
Add a preference setting to automatically open Page Thumbnails when a document is opened. Currently this is not an option. Heavy document processing would be made much less cumbersome if this option were available.

Bug - Fonts are not being embeded
BUG - While using Adobe Acrobat 2017 as a PDF printer, the fonts that are required to display symbols correctly are not being embedded regardless of settings
Rat Dish1.pdf illustrates the error. It was created by printing to a pdf, an .idw file. Rat dish.invpdf.pdf which was generated through the Inventor app is correct.1 vote -
Reader 2021.001.20138 suddenly running form javascripts incredibly slowly and freezing
A complex form that ran fine under older versions of reader, is now intermittently running some of the onboard javascripts incredibly slowly and appearing to the user as freezing (Not Responding).
This does not always occur, and occurs during different operations (using different document level scripts).
I am using Windows 10 Pro 19041.804 (most recent) and have experienced it on Reader 2021.001.20138 32bit and 64bit versions.3 votes -
PDFMaker: Set the Scope, Row Span, and Column Span properties for table headers
Currently, PDFMaker tags table headers as <TH> when "Header Row" and/or "First Column" are checked in Word. However, it does not change the default scope, column span, or row span of the headers based on these values.
Description of desired feature:
* For each table header tag added by "Header Row", set the Scope attribute to "Column".
* For each table header tag added by "First Column", set the Scope attribute to "Row".
* If both "Header Row" and "First Column" are checked, and the data cell in the first row and column is not empty, set the Scope attribute of that header tag to "Both".
* For any cell that spans multiple columns, set the Column Span attribute to the number of columns it spans.
* For any cell that spans multiple rows, set the Row Span attribute to the number of columns it spans. Why the feature is needed:
Screen reader users need this metadata in order to understand the tables in the document. Content creators expect accessible content in Word to remain accessible after PDF export. They become frustrated when this is not the case.Currently, PDFMaker tags table headers as <TH> when "Header Row" and/or "First Column" are checked in Word. Thanks for your feature request. We have taken a note of your request and this will be prioritized based on other backlog items.

User Management, how to find inactive users
I can view all users and license status. I need a way to view the last activity date of users. I want to know who is not using the license assigned to them.

Automatically crop PDF-pages to the edges of the document
Make Adobe Acrobat PRO DC be able to automatically crop PDF pages to the edges of the document. For example, send in an agreement photographed on a table with unnecessary artifacts (table, hands, etc.). You need to be able to turn a PDF file into an A4 document at the touch of a button.

Please overhaul UI to make the mark-up tools easier to use/find
The UI in Acrobat is not very user friendly, in fact I would go so far as to say it's distinctly unfriendly and not condusive to getting work done. I have spent a lot of time modifying the UI, pinning mark-up tools to my ribbon etc. to make it remotely productive to use however when I see some of my less tech savvy workmates using Adobe, they dont have the tools available to them, they dont know how to change mark-up properties (i.e. CTRL+E to bring up the properties panel) and in general the software is restricting their ability to do their work. Why is the software so convoluted? Please simplify the UI, improve the mark-up tools (seriously the markup tools look like they came from MS Paint 2004) and generally make the software more user friendly.
For context, I am a structural engineer and the main things I use Adobe Acrobat for are to view, create, combine PDF's as well as marking up PDF's for structural drawing reviews etc. The view, create, combine tools work fine but the mark-up tools are ridiculously basic and not user friendly.

Renaming of (copied) formular fields
The function to automatically and customizeable renaming of formular fields is needed!!!
F.E.: If you want to deploy 500 checkboxes - you have to copy them and change name by clicking every box or deploy them one after another. This is absolute horrible. It would be very helpful to have a function which can do this:
- Mark the fields you want
- Change name with a given name and f.e. growing numbers for the marked fields. Please integrate soon. It wastes so much time.

Add context menu to show the Font name of highlighted text
I want to know which font is being used when I highlight the text in question. A simple right click after the text is highlighted could present a context menu that would do the trick.

Additional Notification options for Fill & Sign
Need option to send notifications to a cell phone number or to a email address other than the one used to send the sign request document to.
Need the option to repeat notification more than once a day ... once a day is the smallest interval allowed for notifications. ... if the document needs to be signed before EOD then I may need to repeat the notification hourly......

Crop Pages preference Even, Odd, All shouldn't be sticky between unrelated documents
When one crops a document, the "Apply to:" dialog preference selects between "Even and Odd Pages", "Odd Pages Only", and "Even Pages Only". This preference is sticky, based on the last document that was cropped. In practice, documents are uncorrelated.
To minimize user errors, Acrobat should default to a single choice users expect, "Even and Odd Pages". Or inspect the document, or at least notice whether one is on an even or odd page.

a no-security version of acrobat with none of the time-wasting "features" i don't want or need
dear acrobat. a lot of legal professionals use your software. we have no - zero - zip - nada use for SECURED PDFs. These are a huge time-waster for me. No courts require or care about PDF security. It just makes my job harder. Please release a version of Adobe that automatically strips all security from PDFs and doesn't automatically create unwanted and useless restrictions that WASTE MY TIME.

These probabilites aren't flat. To reduce user errors, it would be simplest to default to the setting users expect by default: "Even and Odd Pages".
If one expects the user to check this setting every time, then it would make sense to play the probabilities, and default to the most likely setting based on recent history. For example, phone GPS navigation often correctly guesses my destination based on my current location and the date/time.
If Abobe believes that I live in a post-print bubble, and most users are still working with documents with even, odd offsets intended for bound books, then Acrobat should at least notice whether I'm on an even or odd page, and switch accordingly between "Odd Pages Only", and "Even Pages Only"?
Acrobat could of course inspect the pages; it would be trivial to determine if an offset is needed for the current document, and provide that offset, rather than requiring the user to crop twice.
Defaulting to the choice made for the previous document is simply wrong. If John Warnock invested his fortune by this principle, he'd have to come back to work.
