  1. I would love to be able to customize the pop-up that appears when I select text. At present, it offers editing tools, but I don't use those. I use the markup tools, so in addition to the highlight tool I would love to have the "insert text" and "replace text" (or whatever they're now called) there, plus the call-out box. Possibly one or two other tools I use a lot.

This would save me a lot of time as I would not have to mouse over to the toolbar, even though I've added the tools I use most…

  2. There are at least two ways of setting a highlight comment's color; one from the menu bar and the other from the highlight comment's property dialog. The problem is that they provide two different color palates. This then manifests in the comment filter showing many different colors to filter by when the intent was to use a small number to categorise the comments.

  3. Annotations; circle, square, line-where are they?
    Way too much bling here
How do you disable the sign fill boxes-this is super annoying

  4. Please remove the new "Create" button in the tabs area. This is the most annoying thing I have ever seen. I keep accidentally clicking on it when I want to close a tab or move the window, and then Acrobat is inoperable for up to 1 minute and a stupid spinner rotates in the middle of the window, only to display a new button "Select files". This contradicts 100% the rest of the user interface of the tool.
If you don't remove this, then please make the button optional so that it can be hidden effortlessly. I will never use…

  5. We need to be able to save WCAG compliant, semantic HTML files (e.g. from Firefox) as PDF/UA, but Adobe PDF does not offer this option. Saving as PDF/A does not produce a tagged (UA) file.

Adobe's pdf print gadget should use the browser accessibility tree, and tag the PDF accordingly.

PDF/UA has been an ISO standard since 2012. WCAG 2.1 was finalized in 2019, and WCAG 2.x compliance is now mandatory for public sector procurements in North America, the EU and various other jurisdictions.

What on earth is going on with your accessibility roadmap, Adobe? Apart from Acrobat on Windows,…

  6. A shortcut – ideally a keyboard shortcut – for 'Add Note to Text' would be very helpful for the editors and proofreaders among us. To select the text, right-click and find 'Add Note to Text' is cumbersome when you're using that particular feature more than any other (the Sticky Note is much maligned by designers and reviewers alike for not being specific enough to the text to which it relates).

It would also make lots more sense in the context of the comment-as-you-type functionality for inserting or deleting text, etc. Surely it would be logical to create an equivalent keyboard-centred…

  7. When user scroll up and down pages, thumb nail page in the left hand pane is not that much recognizable. I think system will be better showing thick solid line surrounded around the thumbnail page even user scroll the page without magnifying it. Hope this will make sense to you guys. It is simply dotted line surrounded, which is not recognizable.

  8. There is no option to increase the text size of a measurement!
Would like to send someone a pdf with measurements however I'm pretty sure they won't be able to see it. On a fit-to-page screen, the measurement text looks so small, that it seems like a continuation of the red line. The person receiving this won't always be proficient, they might not realize what the red line is unless the measurement can be clearly seen.

  9. Adobe Acrobat DC is just an awful counter-productive tool now in Mojave. It crashes hourly (if not more often) just doing normal very simple tasks that I would normally be able to do in previous Mac OS. It doesn't matter if Im just reviewing a pdf made by someone else, creating a PDF from INDD, adding notes to a supplied PDF, etc etc etc ... it just constantly crashes. No warning, no error, just crash... program just quits out. So counter productive now its killing us as a company. PLEASE FIX!!!

  10. Adobe, bring back the old Typewriter tool. We need a simple way to add text to an existing PDFs. The current workarounds of using the Edit Text or Add a Text Field tools are not the same and are far more cumbersome than the old Typewriter.

The problem with the "Edit Text" tool is that it attempts to edit ALL text in the PDF so often times when you try to add new text, it attempts to modify existing background text in the document.

The problem with the "Add a Text Field" tool is that you have to add, resize,…

  11. Too much time is wasted by doing the simple little things and I want to address the little things that make PDF editing a big time consumer.

    1) When copy and pasting anything from images, Text and especially New Text Fields they should paste right on top of their duplicate by default location.

    A) It's easier to locate them
    B) Way too time consuming moving it back to the default location so then you can continue on and just keyboard arrow key them over and into place where you want
It wastes so much time especially when you have to…

  12. It would be extremely useful to be able to highlight and delete multiple uploads from the 'Shared for Viewing' page. It's very time consuming having to delete individual files to create space for new uploads.

    Please look into this.

  13. When the comment pane is sorted by date, the date group heading shows one day earlier than the actual date of the comments.
A comment dated "Jun 26" will show under a group heading of "6/25/2020"
A comment dated today (showing a time only, no date) will be grouped under a date heading "9/25/2021" (when the date is actually 9/26/2021).
    Steps:
Create a comment (sticky note or add note to replace text)
    Sort comments by date
Expected: today's comment 5:16 pm grouped under "9/26/2021"
Actual: today's comment 5:16 pm grouped under "9/25/2021"

    1. Comment markups randomly disappear from the screen, sometimes when zooming in and out, sometimes when scrolling. Sometimes they all disappear, sometimes just part of a page. Zooming or scrolling does not fix the problem. They will not draw correctly until I hide Acrobat, then making it the active application again, sometimes I have to quit the application and restart to solve the problem.
    2. Acrobat Pro DC 2019, Mac

I need to use a split screen, half InDesign, half Acrobat, when I'm running corrections. That does not leave real estate for the giant comment sidebar in Acrobat, so I need to…

  14. Need a keyboard shortcut to insert Clipboard contents into PDF as new page. Should default to adding after current page. Should work regardless of whether pages tab is open. This feature would help make Acrobat the top tool for documenting web pages as web print output is often awkward and we need to combine multiple images / pages into one PDF document.

  15. The new version of Adobe sucks, it is totally user un friendly and requires a lot more work and navigating to do what was much simpler. Why change something that was working fine. Do you even test drive the new version to see how it is prior to sending out to the public. And the program keeps freezing when adding pics and the "restore " version doesn't work at all when you have to close the program and reopen continuously. Why pay for this piece of garbage software. Can I charge you for all of my lost time trying to…

  18. Bookmark visible as a stamp on page itself so that the user can see what the document title is without having to open the bookmarks pane. This should be a toggle on/off capability and be moveable on the page (select which section of the page it appears in default). Might also be helpful if the stamp defaults could be edited for font, size, etc

  19. Would like to have Adobe Pro DC continue out the functionality of keyboard shortcuts for Tools. I can send Alt, V, T and it will bring up a list of the tools. Usually in these menu’s it will give you an underlined letter so that you can select that option. I would think R would be underlined for Redaction but it is not. The whole list of tools does not have any underlined letters in their names. The next one that is underlined is O for open.
