    1. Comment markups randomly disappear from the screen, sometimes when zooming in and out, sometimes when scrolling. Sometimes they all disappear, sometimes just part of a page. Zooming or scrolling does not fix the problem. They will not draw correctly until I hide Acrobat, then making it the active application again, sometimes I have to quit the application and restart to solve the problem.
    2. Acrobat Pro DC 2019, Mac

I need to use a split screen, half InDesign, half Acrobat, when I'm running corrections. That does not leave real estate for the giant comment sidebar in Acrobat, so I need to…

  1. Where are those buttons hiding now? There should be buttons to take you to the first or last page of a document. Previously you had to turn them on, but I can't find where to turn them on now with this awful UI. Someone mentioned finding a way to put it back to the old UI, how is that done?

  3. You have added a button called "Try PDF spaces" exactly where the All Tools button was and forced the All Tools button to the right. Presumably this is to force clicks as folks who have memorized where the buttons they actually want to use are located and may click without looking. Get rid of it or move it to a less annoying place that doesn't disrupt workflows please. We already pay for your program - don't force us to navigate to things you want to promote. If it was actually good you wouldn't have to place it in the way…

  6. You have just introduced a new menu bar: "Home", "Tools"... etc, including the new "starred" category.
I'd actually like to read my pdfs, and the more screen area, the easier that is. Your new menu bar lessens the screen area I have to read my documents. Can you at least make this menu bar toggled, so that I and others wanting more screen space can get rid of it?
    Thanksd

    Hi,

Thanks for Reaching out to us.
I would request you to kindly add the Loupe tool in your main toolbar. thats how you can do that

    1) launch any pdf and right click on the main toolbar
    2) select “Show Select and zoom Tool” and click on “Loupe Tool”
    3) click on the loupe tool icon added to the toolbar and then click on any area in the pdf

Now you can see an enlarged view of a specific area in a pdf in a separate window

Let me know if that solves your concerns

    Thanks
    Ayush Jain

  8. I recreate a new post instead commenting last one, just to make sure it was taken as important it’s supposed to be, as a critical issue!
Hoping you could create another hot fix for this major problem.
We are now on macOS Sonoma 14.2.1 and Acrobat Pro version 2023.008.20458.

1: when we use Text tool and select a text to modify all the page became white and we cannot see anything.
2:There is also another problem when we scroll the pages, everything become white also.
3: We are no longer even able to check the preflight result, blank pages…

  9. In the new version, give us back the expandable toolbar on the rightside. Should not have to do a tool search for item. (e.g. textbox)

  10. Bug Fix needed: Comments Tool Opens automatically when I open any PDF. This is annoying and tedious to have to close it every time I open another PDF. Please fix this and stop Comments Tool from opening automatically.

  12. This is someone else's comment, but so apropos! "Visual designers managed to ruin a tool that was excellent and practical. The environment is now completely different, difficult to use, confusing, with no work flow. I would recommend a book to designers: Steve Krug's "Don't Make Me Think"."

    This is impossible to use.

I chose the "user interface" category only because I couldn't select "all of the above." I also created an account for the sole purpose of posting this.

  13. No basic functionality in the top menu (Reduce File, etc.), no immediate access to a Marquee Zoom tool because the tool bar has to be opened in a separate tab every time I open a file before I can use them. I'm shocked that Adobe is still pushing on with this awful excuse for a UI. It's convoluted and a waste of user time, let alone visually inconsistent with all other Adobe products. Lots of user complaints relating to the same issues but, as usual, Adobe don't appear to want to fix it, just carry on shoe-horning what they think…

  14. BUG: PowerPoint Acrobat Add-in fails to render shapes drawn with the Drawing tools. These are the tools in the DRAW tab, pens and pencils, etc. If using the Acrobat added commands in the PPT UI, drawn shapes aren't rendered in the PDF. PowerPoint's native PDF writing works fine, it does have a checkbox to control drawn object rendering which Acrobat ignores. Sample files included.

  15. I need a simple box that can be added into a form which activates the drawing tool to enter a manual signature. If someone is filling out a form, they won't know at the signature point they have to jump to the tool menu and select the pen. For a user they are in the form, keep them in the form. Just a simple setting on a signature box to switch it to pen rather then Digital ID would be great.

  16. I have recently upgraded to Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. For my work, I need to mark-up PDFs using Comment tools. When I style some text as superscript using either the feature available in the box that appears when I right click or the shortcut ctrl/shift/+ and then close the pop-up box the styling becomes subscript instead of superscript. I used Adobe Acrobat Professional 8 for a long time and didn't have any problems. It is very frustrating that this doesn't work properly in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, especially as 'superscript' is offered as a feature in Comments

  17. I want to use the browser extension for Acrobat Pro as my default PDF handler but most of the time, but not all the time, I am just wanting to open and read a PDF and not edit one. I was surprised there is no option to have it default into a reader mode/display mode with the editor interface hidden with perhaps a button that will toggle back to edit mode when needed.

You can see the default view in the attached screenshot which clearly isn't conducive to just reading. The pdf is shrunk into that window making the text…

  19. Why on earth would I want a floating tool selector bar that blocks the view of the document I am trying to read? There isn't even an option to snap this back onto the top or bottom of the screen, or even in the new (unwanted) sidebar that contains loads of empty space?

I'm officially done with Adobe PDF reader.
