Allow addition of text without breaking each word into bounding boxes
I have many documents that I regularly access and add text to. In a previous version of Adobe Pro, when I would click in the area of text, the whole area would become editable and I could add text that lined up with what was previously added. Now, if you click "edit PDF," every single character is selected in its own bounding box and there is no way to do the previously described adding of text, other than to enable the "add text" feature, which is not the same as what I described above. Often times, I need to adjust the spacing of what has been added, to fit more on the page, and this can no longer be done because of the way the program breaks everything into pieces. Is there something I'm doing wrong, or does that feature need to be added back into Adobe Pro.

Where are the old mark up tools? I only what to draw some circles round things to highlight them. This new design is wasting my time.
Stop changing the workspace around so people stay familiar and can work efficiently. Professional software is supposed to support and enable efficient working.

Can only move two bookmarks at a time
In Windows, I have a top-level bookmark and, for example, 10 sub-level bookmarks. I want to Ctrl+click all the sub-level bookmarks in the left side panel and drag them so that they are at the top-level. If I do this in Adobe Acrobat, I can Ctrl+click to select all bookmarks, but then when I drag them, only the first two move. I can then select the other 8 and move all those at once. But I can't move all 10 from the start. This seems like a bug since it seems like you should be able to select all sub-level bookmarks and move them all at once. Thanks!

Text Box Formatting Errors-Acrobat automatically changes/combines existing text boxes
The link above is where this conversation is listed. You need to fix this. It makes everyone who uses your program angry and it messes up so many documents. It's ridiculous trying to do anything with it because it automatically chooses to move where the text boxes are when created in Acrobat. It's not acceptable to just say this is not an editing program. It doesn't matter. The product you provide does not fulfill the needs of your customers and it is causing MAJOR issues when trying to do just about anything related to text boxes.

Adobe Community Professional , Oct 07, 2019Yes. Return to the source document and its application, and create the original document correctly. Acrobat is not designed to do editing and design/layout.

3 seconds agoThis is such a garbage answer. "Adobe isn't designed to do editing". Acrobat Pro software application is CHANGING existing formatted text without the user's consent and then you have no REAL answer on how to fix it. It does this automatically whenever saving a document.
Your not providing a solution because it does this even when the document was CREATED through Acrobat. For example, if I create a text box with the letter A. Alvarez (A being the initial for the first name and Alvarez being the last name), Adobe Acrobat PRO decides to separate these into different text boxes despite being formatted originally as ONE text box. It's beyond frustrating and your excuses are not acceptable. This is lazy customer service and lazy software design.

have to go to each page to highlight a word after a search
allow highlighting of ALL WORDS AT ONCE after a word search. Going to EACH page is very tedious and laborious. For what we pay to use Adobe we should able to do this

Excel and Acrobat PDF both hang when cell edit mode and pasted into file name box
Steps to reproduce
- In Excel, enter cell edit mode (e.g. pressing F2), copy the text in the cell
- Keep the cursor in the cell, print with "Acrobat PDF"
- When save dialog is displayed, paste into file name input box
After this procedure, Excel and Acrobat PDF both hang up, and pdf file is not created.

* Excel: 16.0.13426.20270
* Acrobat DC: 20.013.20070Misc
* In the case of "Microsoft Print to PDF", pdf file is normally created.1 vote -
Delete agreements from main page
the ability to actually DELETE and agreement within adobe sign is currently burried benieth 3 or 4 submenues and then an explicit search must be performed to find and agreement. THIS IS A BASIC feature that must be accessible at the agreement home page list. If you believe there is a privacy issue then let it be a popup notifying.
trying to find these features is frustrating and internet searches/support are not knowledgeable about how to accomplish.
SIMPLE FEATURE THAT MUST BE ACCESSIBLE

Option to Hide Bookmarks Panel for all PDFs
Using: Acrobat Pro DC
Request: Ability to set a global setting that hides the bookmarks panel whenever a new PDF is opened, as opposed to having to navigate to the initial view settings for each file and then save it.
Reason: I open a lot of PDF files from emails, as I'm sure thousands of other people do, with no intention of saving it in that instance. Or files from the internet, again with no intention of saving it. This is to VIEW the file and find content relevant to the task in hand. Having the bookmarks panel occupy a third of the program window reduces the visibility and scale of the actual file.
This would seem to be basic user experience to me. Not everyone uses bookmarks either. It should be a preference setting available as standard - forcing the user to focus on a feature they don't even use and interrupting basic workflow is ridiculous design philosophy.

IE based app fix not included in updates
An issue with viewing PDF files in IE based apps was found in Adobe Acrobat 20.013.20064 Planned update, Nov 03, 2020. The issue was that PDFs were not able to be viewed in IE based apps and accessing PDFs would cause programs such as SAPGUI to crash.
A fix was released as an optional update (20.013.20066 Optional update, Nov 23, 2020).
It was found out that the fix was not included in 20.013.20074 Out of cycle update, December 09, 2020 because users who did not receive the optional update are now reporting that they have the issue of PDFs not being viewable in IE apps.
Can the fix introduced in 20.013.20066 Optional update, Nov 23, 2020 please be included in future patches so that this issue does not continue?

Printing/scanning issues after update 2020.009.20063
I am working at an MSP currently. Two separate customers are experiencing issues with printing/scanning after update 2020.009.20063 on Reader and Acrobat DC.
If you try to scan a document that is multiple pages it will freeze after the first page.
We attempted repairs and reinstalls but were unsuccessful with both.
Workstations are running W10.
Thank you.

macOS Big Sur Beta 10: Page scrolling unbearably slow
Even in the latest public beta of MacOS 11, overall performance of Acrobat is sluggish. The app may take over a second to respond to a page scroll request via track pad and scrolling will be choppy.
1 voteHi,
Sorry for the issue that you are facing here.
We tried this at our end but couldn’t get a reproducible case.
Could you please share your BigSur Beta10 Machine configuration/System Information?
Also could you please share a Screen recording video of the sluggish behavior that you observe?
Thanks

Horizontal scrolling would be great so the document can read like a book rather than always vertically.
I think it would be good to have a horizontal page feature not always just vertical scrolling for set up of brochures etc.
