  1. I'm unable to print any pdf files from Acrobat DC to the local network printers. I receive errors: "the document could not be printed" and "an error occurred while printing the document". I am able to print to the printers from other programs. I've been able to print pdfs from Acrobat DC to printers in the past.

  2. Bug report re Output Preview/Color Warnings/Show Overprinting

When 'Show Overprinting' is toggled on it displays the results in the selected colour on the page being viewed. However, when you navigate to the next page frequently no results are displayed. When you navigate through the rest of the document, results are sometimes displayed, often not.

The only way to get 'Show Overprinting' to display consistently and correctly is to toggle it off and back on for every single page.

  8. I imagine if the pdf file was created from another application, and was set to "Fit" this print setting carried over to Adobe. If so, there needs to be a way to reset default print setting from print dialog box to change to "Actual." I don't know if if the original file was set to that or not as I don't have it but please look into this. It's very important issue.

    Thank you,

    Sandy

    Hi Toda,

You can use “Create Multiple Files” option in Create PDF Tool in Acrobat for creating individual PDF for each file in a folder.

    Follow these steps:
    1. Make sure you have latest version of Acrobat
    2. Click on “Tools” tab
    3. Click on “Create PDF” icon. It’s usually the first one.
    4. Select “Multiple Files” and check “Create Multiple PDF Files”
    5. Click “Next”
    6. Click on “Add Files” drop down and select “Add Folder”
    7. Browse to your input files and Click “OK”
    8. Select destination folder and Click “OK”

Please let us know if this solves your issue.

    Regards,
    Ritesh

  11. Hi,

I have Adobe Acrobat Reader Pro - Build: 18.11.20040.280397, operating on MACOS High Sierra 10.13.4, with a MFC Brother printer.

all of a sudden I can't print any files unless I go into advanced settings in the print dialogue box and change to print as image?

I have updated my mac, my printer and adobe acrobat with no success. I have attached a screenshot of the error msg in my printer queue.

    Hi Bert,

Could you check if the following steps works for you?
    1. Open Print dialog
    2. Click on “Advance” button
    3. Select “Postscript Options”
    4. Change “Font & Resource Policy” to “send for each page”
    5. Print your documents

    Thanks
    Ritesh

  12. BE able to save multiple subsections and bookmarked Sections as a PDF rather than the whole document when PRINT action does not allow subsections to be saved through printer dialogue. Going to save as just saves the whole document again. NOT the selected Subsection or multiple pages.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your valuable feedback.
We have recorded it as a feature request in our database.
However saving multiple pages to PDF option is there. You can give selected pages in ‘Pages’ option on print dialog.

    Best Regards!

  13. Every pdf document I send to my MFD (Canon) does not automatically print. It sends a message to pick paper size because it's a custom size. However, it is NEVER a custom size, it's always 8-1/2 x 11. All the settings in my document say to print to 8-1/2 x 11, I've tried shrink and fit and still, I keep getting the message at the printer and have to choose 8-1/2 x 11. Really annoying.

  14. Currently have Adobe Acrobat installed on my university machine and am using Word 2013 to compile my thesis chapters and figures (.emf and .png files). However when I either use the ‘create pdf’ ribbon option using press quality settings (adjusted to a4 paper size) I end up with a .pdf with 8.5 x 11 in size. This happens also when printing via Adobe PDF option through word.

  15. Crop marks: Make it easier to choose to save version with crop and bleed turn on or off. I frequently have to adjust a print ready file with crops and bleeds not showing and it is time-consuming. Why not have a crop/bleed SHOW or DON'T SHOW function.

  16. We are noticing an error in prints of 3D space from Adobe DC in either Windows 7 or Windows 10. When you print views, sometimes there’s a “White Box” in the middle of the view no matter which medium you print through/to (i.e. physical printer, Adobe PDF, Word Doc, OneNote, etc.).

I attached an example PDF where this behavior can be seen. The original model is included as an attachment in the PDF. The information attached does not have any restrictions. The information in the PDF is correct until you print it.

    Reproduction Steps:
    1. Export a PDF from ACW…

  17. Nearly every tool and application I use has the ability to differentiate between Print and Print Preview. In some apps, Print can be referred to Quick Print. Either way, whether Print, or Quick Print, the idea is to print the object without going through the full Print dialogue, it basically prints the object using the last-used parameters.

Print Preview on the other hand, provides a full menu of choices and is the full printing dialogue.

I no longer have Acrobat Pro installed on any working machines, so I can't confirm this, but I thought Pro had this time-saving capability.

    So…

    Hi,

    We already have this feature.
    You can try following workflow:
    1. Open PDF.
    2. Click Print.
    3. In Pages section give Page numbers which you want to print.

If you are still facing issue then let us know the version of Acrobat you are using and workflow you are doing.

    Best Regards!

  19. Please restore this functionality - in XI it was in Edit/Preferences/Page Display. There is no way to know the page size without hovering the mouse in the lower left corner. Odd-size page sizes hang print jobs, wasting time and resources. It was easier to quickly scroll through 100+ pages and look for the oddities. Without this, we have to check every single page.

    Thank you!

  20. Adobe documents will only duplex print on my Brother HL-L52000. There are no options to turn this off in the print menu.

Auto-Duplexing is turned off in the printer. I have another Brother MFC-9340 that does not have this issue and prints single side. All other programs function properly and all print single sided.

Please advise how I can print documents from Adobe single sided.
