  1. Every pdf document I send to my MFD (Canon) does not automatically print. It sends a message to pick paper size because it's a custom size. However, it is NEVER a custom size, it's always 8-1/2 x 11. All the settings in my document say to print to 8-1/2 x 11, I've tried shrink and fit and still, I keep getting the message at the printer and have to choose 8-1/2 x 11. Really annoying.

  2. Currently have Adobe Acrobat installed on my university machine and am using Word 2013 to compile my thesis chapters and figures (.emf and .png files). However when I either use the ‘create pdf’ ribbon option using press quality settings (adjusted to a4 paper size) I end up with a .pdf with 8.5 x 11 in size. This happens also when printing via Adobe PDF option through word.

  3. Crop marks: Make it easier to choose to save version with crop and bleed turn on or off. I frequently have to adjust a print ready file with crops and bleeds not showing and it is time-consuming. Why not have a crop/bleed SHOW or DON'T SHOW function.

  4. We are noticing an error in prints of 3D space from Adobe DC in either Windows 7 or Windows 10. When you print views, sometimes there’s a “White Box” in the middle of the view no matter which medium you print through/to (i.e. physical printer, Adobe PDF, Word Doc, OneNote, etc.).

I attached an example PDF where this behavior can be seen. The original model is included as an attachment in the PDF. The information attached does not have any restrictions. The information in the PDF is correct until you print it.

    Reproduction Steps:
    1. Export a PDF from ACW…

  5. Nearly every tool and application I use has the ability to differentiate between Print and Print Preview. In some apps, Print can be referred to Quick Print. Either way, whether Print, or Quick Print, the idea is to print the object without going through the full Print dialogue, it basically prints the object using the last-used parameters.

Print Preview on the other hand, provides a full menu of choices and is the full printing dialogue.

I no longer have Acrobat Pro installed on any working machines, so I can't confirm this, but I thought Pro had this time-saving capability.

    So…

    Hi,

    We already have this feature.
    You can try following workflow:
    1. Open PDF.
    2. Click Print.
    3. In Pages section give Page numbers which you want to print.

If you are still facing issue then let us know the version of Acrobat you are using and workflow you are doing.

    Best Regards!

  7. Please restore this functionality - in XI it was in Edit/Preferences/Page Display. There is no way to know the page size without hovering the mouse in the lower left corner. Odd-size page sizes hang print jobs, wasting time and resources. It was easier to quickly scroll through 100+ pages and look for the oddities. Without this, we have to check every single page.

    Thank you!

  8. Adobe documents will only duplex print on my Brother HL-L52000. There are no options to turn this off in the print menu.

Auto-Duplexing is turned off in the printer. I have another Brother MFC-9340 that does not have this issue and prints single side. All other programs function properly and all print single sided.

Please advise how I can print documents from Adobe single sided.

  9. I print hundreds of pages every month from a single PDF file, but I print some two-sided and the others one-sided. For example, I print pages 3,4,6,7,10-14,20,21,25-30. Today, I accidentally typed "118-12" instead of 120. But Acrobat just prints something. I'm not sure what because I cancelled the print job.

Acrobat should analyze the page sequence and warn if it's out of order. I wouldn't want it warn me on the first example because it still makes sense, but if I print that sequence and then "32-3", it should stop, especially since it doesn't even make sense to print pages…

  10. After the latest Acrobat Pro DC update, I click on the printer icon and it takes 5-6 seconds before the application begins bringing up the print dialog. Then I click the print button on the print dialog and it takes 15-19 seconds before the document actually begins printing on my HP LaserJet color printer. This is immensely longer than printing took before the update. On the initial click of the printer icon, the title bar actually says "not responding."

  11. After latest update of adobe acrobat pro DC (for me d.d. 25 February 2018)

    The PDF printer has disappeared.

    System config:
    Windows 7 professional sp1 64 bit
Creative cloud (adobe acrobat pro DC)

Actions tried to get the printer back:
    1. I tried a repair of adobe acrobat pro DC.
    2. I tried manually add the printer.
    3. reinstall adobe acrobat pro DC.

If I go to the windows event viewer I see the following error message:
Installing printer driver - failed, error code 0x2, HRESULT 0x80070002. See the event user data for context information.

  12. Virtual Printer for Mac
So you can print customised page sizes A1 A2 etc from all software
Used to be a feature but has been removed.
is still a feature on PC.
Other apps are available such as PDF Printer from the App Store that do this.

Need to either have Adobe PDF appear as a printer, or be able to adjust settings under the create pdf button, before it creates the pdf.

currently you can only create a pdf that matches the same size as the document. so you can't print an A4 document onto an A3, A2, A1…

  14. If I select multiple copies and check the two-sided print option and go back to print, it resets the copies to 1.
Also, the collate option was hard to find being hidden until you select more than 1 copy.

  15. Needless to say, I print a lot from Acrobat. It bugs me constantly that when the print dialog comes up, it's too big to fit entirely on the screen. The actual "print" button is off screen on the bottom, and requires scrolling down to be able to click it. That should not be the case. Even more annoying is the fact that the dialog itself, although it has a scroll bar, is not responsive to my scrollwheel mouse. It absolutely should be.

  16. When printing a portfolio, the document print in the order they are named. Could you create an option for the portfolio to print in the order the files are in the portfolio? We use Adobe Acrobat for all our bulk printing tasks, and we have to rename the files to make sure they print in order.

  17. Yesterday I purchased 1 year subscription to Adobe Acrobat Pro and since installation I am unable to edit PDFs due to the following pop-up error message:
"Unable to process the page because the Paper Capture recognition service experienced an error. (6)".
I have searched all over the internet for its solution but could not find one. This is really frustrating, bought an annual subscription and still not able to edit PDFs. I feel that I have wasted my money in buying the subscription.

  18. 2) Steps to reproduce the problem:

Being logged into the business account of OfficeDepot.com for the company I work for, and needing to create a PDF of a shopping list of one of my coworkers I will start by:

    a) Either right clicking on the web page or clicking on the 3 vertical dots in the top right corner of the Chrome web browser.
    b) I then locate and click on the "print" option.
    c) When the print window comes up, I change it from a physical printer to Adobe PDF to "print" (create) a PDF of the web page…

  19. Cannot print single pages when in comparison mode; only prints the summary page. It would be helpful to print single pages so I have a record of what still needs to be fixed in my document, since you cannot save the newer doc version as a separate document with notes intact. At least I would have a hardcopy to refer to.

  20. I have several settings/presets saved in the folder:

    /Users/saschabucher/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PDF/Settings

But only some of them are showing up in the Distiller settings dropdown where you can set the preset. The ones showing up are not even in the alphabetic order. This is maybe related to the issue in InDesign where the script panel is also not anymore ordered.

This is may just cased by OSX High Sierra and SSD.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your valuable feedback.
For Distiller setting dropdown not in alphabetic order we have logged a bug in our database.
And Setting which are not showing in dropdown this is not reproducible at our end. Can you please try reinstalling and updating Acrobat if its not updated to latest version? Let us know if this issue is still there.

    Best Regards!
