1. "Mark up" PDFs -- not "edit"

   Editing is not really the correct word. For millions of users, we simply want to "mark up" a PDF by, say, underlining a sentence. That was dead easy with Adobe Pro XI. Now seemingly impossible with DC. Constantly get image processing error messages. No customized user toolbars, as with Pro. Basically DC has been over-thought. 99% of users want the basic functionality of Adobe Pro XI.

2. Disable search look ahead while typing

   I work in a regulatory environment and searching PDFs is increasingly important to find information quickly. Many of the PDFs are large, in the order or 200 pages or more.

   In the current software, Adobe starts to look ahead after 2 or 3 characters are typed. This probably makes sense for a document that is say 10 pages long. But in a 200 page document it stalls the PC and messes up the search, for example if I'm searching for "thermometer" the PC gets stuck collecting all the words "the", "there", and anything else starting with "th" or "the". It's a ridiculous waste of PC resources as well as being annoying.

   In fact, the only way I can search a word is to type it elsewhere and then paste it in the search box to avoid the look ahead while typing.

   I have not found a way to disable this. Ideally the software would be able to tell if it is a large document and disable it automatically, and/or give priority to typing rather than the search, i.e. as a new letter is typed it starts the search again immediately, rather than completing the old search based on the first 2 or 3 letters.

3. Adding audio file to PDF with Adobe Pro DC (Mac OS Catalina version 10.15.1)

   Hello, I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC on a recent iMac running OS Catalina version 10.15.1. I'd like to embed a simple and short Audio file. I have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat PRO DC from the cloud. I tried recording a note, that did not work out all. Then I recorded an audio file in Garageband and saved it as an .aif file (I saved it as an .aif file because none of the other formats would load up) and this prerecorded .aif file uploaded from my hard disc into my cursor successfully (I can actually play the file in the little dialogue box with the controls play record stop and when I close this dialogue box and click OK I can see the sound icon has loaded into my cursor) but then frustratingly when I click down to paste the sound file onto the PDF it doesn't paste it. It keeps it loaded up into the cursor. I tried and tried and it is so frustrating as this should be such a simple thing to do! Do you know why this may be happening? is this a bug please? Can it be fixed? I so would like an answer to this! I am frustrated to be paying for the latest software and not be able to do such a simple operation in this day and age and having to come on a forum to find a possible solution. 4. Acrobat Reader DC stopped working on Windows 10 PC no error message

   Acrobat Reader DC has stopped working on my PC (Windows 10 Pro, Version 21H2). The last time it worked I was writing in LaTeX (Distribution: MikTex, Editor: Texmaker). Acrobat Reader worked fine for a long time even when writing in LaTeX. But somehow it suddenly stopped. I tried reinstalling Acrobat Reader, tried some workarounds in the registry, messed with some file names, tried repairing it in windows programs and features and tried compatibility mode but nothing worked. I can't really imagine any way in which LaTeX would cause the Reader to crash. LaTeX outputs pdf files but the programs don't work together. What's weird too is that I don't get an error message. I click on the Reader shortcut, than the loading icon pops up for a split second, than nothing happens. Viewing pdf files on my browser works fine though. The last thing I tried was uninstalling Miktex and Texmaker. But that didn't solve my issue.

5. Make it possible to log into Acrobat with one account and into CC applications with another on the same machine

   I am running CC applications using my personal account on my Mac (Mac OS Monterey) and on Windows (Win 11). I occasionally need to run Acrobat Pro on those machines using my business (academic) account. It seems that it is not possible to do that without a lot of effort. As I understand it, I would have to log out of all of my CC applications, then try to log into Acrobat with my other account, then reverse the process to go back to CC. No one in their right mind would want to do this regularly.

   Adobe's login and licensing process is extremely onerous, and this is just one example. You should be able to associate a specific account with a specific application (or group of applications like CC) rather than one for everything on the machine.

7. Permanently disable "reopen closed PDFs" nag box

   You've been asked to do this for years. MAKE IT HAPPEN finally. I mean come on. It's about time you gave "pro" users pro tools, such as being able to FULLY customize our Acrobat workspace so that amateur annoyances such as this can go away forever. If I want hand holding I'll ask for it.

8. acrobat pro DC

   I would like to use 2 kinds of signature but the app offer me only to save one, but me and my wife need to sign some documents and we would like to be able to save our both signatures. We use signatures that we make ourself like using a pen.
   Acrobat Pro DC, you would have an option to save only 1 signature, if i want to add another one, the one that is saved would get erased. You do not have an option to save both the signatures as of now.
   It could be interesting and useful to be able to save only 2 signatures.

9. I converted PDF to word using Export option but unable to convert to PDF from word again. OS is Mac.

   Mac - converted PDF to word and did some changes in the file and again converted back to PDF. PDF conversion failed.

10. No good, easy to use highlighting tools available.

    As a user I want to quickly underline or highlight some text. That currently is painful (or I have not figured out how to do this, in that case it is not intuitive). I dont want to go into editing mode with the risk of editing every single element on the page, accidently move the text block etc. Just want to use my pen to quickly select and edit a chunk of text.

    See Foxit Mobile (they have done a great job, also with dark mode) however, the project is discontinued.

11. dark mode hidden in Accessibility is inconvenient

    Dark mode hidden in Accessibility is inconvenient. To get a proper dark mode, currently I think the only option is to go to

    Edit menu > Preferences > Accessibility
    

    And then you have to activate "Replace document colors".

    This is inconvenient in case you need to quickly change switch off settings. Would be nice to have a quick button for this.

12. Resizing the auto stamp and saving it as my default size

    My job requires that I use the auto stamp to bubble all the features on my prints. As this could be any number of features I find the auto stamp very helpful. The only problem is that the stamp is to large for the area I have to place it. This means that I have to spend a lot of time resizing them manually. If I could set a certain size, even if I had to do it for each print, it would make my job quicker and easier. As a Quality Inspector I need to use my time better.

13. Added images are not allowed to move or re-size while editing PDF

    Hello,
    When I add some files with the PNG extension to a new PDF file which is being edited, image frame and its catch points are available but I can not move or re-size them. This issue was happening also Reader DC stamping tools. Could you please check it?

16. Redact feature no longer functions properly

    I have hundreds of pages to redact in a scanned document and when I hit apply the screen over the document goes gray and a solid white box appears in the center. The white box usually give the options to use in the redaction process. I have to close Adobe with Task Manager. This is unacceptable. This is a recurring problem. I managed to clear it with difficulty a few weeks ago and the malfunction has returned. Please don't tell me to update. I checked. There are no outstanding updates. This is disappointing and annoying as I expected better from your company. I work for a large state agency that uses your product with a license. I've seen other people with the same complaint. This defect needs to be addressed.

    - The program blocks for approx. 60 seconds after it has started. No functions are then possible. At the top of the program bar, Windows reports: "No response". After the 60 seconds have elapsed, the program reacts normally.
    - Originally existing zoom functions are no longer available: Ctrl + / Ctrl - / Ctrl 0 (Zero) do not work

    – Programm blockiert nach dem Start für ca. 60 Sekunden. Es sind dann keine Funktionen möglich. Ganz oben in der Programmleiste meldet Windows: „Keine Rückmeldung“. Nach Ablauf der 60 Sekunden reagiert das Programm normal.

    I am cancelling my subscription because these business strategies are invasive and unethical. I will use open source products instead. Please do better :(

20. Feature Request - Adobe Document Cloud: Integrate with MacOS Finder

    Can you please integrate Adobe Document Cloud as Favorite in Finder for MacOS so that it is possible to access specific files stored in the Document Cloud directly via Finder. This would make file management much easier.
    Such an integration is already available for Adobe Creative Cloud but regretably not for Adobe Document Cloud yet.
    Microsoft One Drive is a good example for a good working integration with MacOS Finder
