  1. The new update is a major down grade because all PDFs open in the same display. I have the need to view two different PDF documents on different screens, but Adobe does not support this activity in the currently configured system.

  4. I could've chosen several categories, creating, PDFs, editing PDFs, viewing PDFs, every feature of Acrobat DC is inferior to 11 and frankly all previous versions of Acrobat Pro. As a publisher who has used Acrobat Pro every day, all day for well over a decade, I am so disappointed and frustrated with this version, It is dumbed down and has several serious bugs that cause issues during a document publishing process. Please scrap this version and bring back Acrobat 11 which functioned 100% better than DC.

  5. When implementing all Adobe/Protect security features to prevent printing, copying, or editing a secured pdf, the PDF can still be edited, copied or printed when opened by the Chrome Document Previewer. With the print option reenabled in the previewer, you can print the secured document as a PDF and save to a file directory and upon opening the saved copy, all security policies have been removed. After discovering this, I researched to see if there was an oversight on my part and stumbled across an article on WikiHow titled, "How to Unlock a Secure PDF File" which outlines a similar…

  6. I design large catalogs that need to be proofed by 40+ reviewers. Individual reviewers need to be able to print out their pages as 8.5x11, but the supervisors need to be able to view the document as 2 page spreads so they can see how the document visually flows. This isn't an option when I send them proofs using Share. Share only permits single page view. Outputting a separate proof as a spread is a cumbersome workaround. The proofers should have options on whether they view Shared pdfs as Single Page View or Two Page View.

  7. Nothing in Acrobat DC feels natural or with a glimpse of intuitive. Adobe tends to override OS given interface interaction limiting it to its Adobe application which is by itself insanely unintuitive. I mean who drove you [the engineering team] to this Interface? Ugly, bloated and counterproductive, not to mention the lack of customization. But this is a path clearly visible in all Adobe applications. Either Adobe reduces its Applications to nearly zero (Lightroom = the *** Cloud version for Desktop) or bloating it until needlessness (Illustrator).
It just creates anger and hate to the one that must accept working…

  8. When I used to create PDFs from Word documents in Windows 7, the PDF would automatically inherit the Title, Subject, and Author properties.

In Windows 10/Acrobat Pro 17 this is no longer the case. All of these fields are blank.

I don't know if this is a change in Acrobat or Word (Office 365), but it's a major pain to set these properties manually every time.

  9. We are using Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017. Our management uses Fill & Sign feature frequently for signing various documents. The default color of signature is black and Acrobat Pro 2017 does not allow to change the color of drawn signature. We would request to please introduce this feature in Acrobat Pro 2017 as is available in Adobe Acrobat DC,

    Hi,

Thanks for providing your feedback. We have shared this with the engineering team and will let you know in case of any updates.

    Regards,
    Sandeep

  10. Please add a Percent option in Ruler just like in Photoshop, so that it helps to align Text Boxes and Guides very accurately.

Also, please add alignment buttons for Text Boxes so that we can not only arrange the text inside the text boxes but also the entire text boxes with text in it.

  11. Outlook Calendar & Google Calendar Integration Plug-In. This functionality would make Adobe's - Acrobat Pro DC, truly professional... When completing PDF Forms with "date fields", it would be most helpful to provide a plug-in to synch the date fields to our calendar (Outlook or Google Calendar). Come on...you guys can do it! This functionality would be very helpful.

  13. Older versions (prior to text recognition) allowed you to type onto a pdf and edit it later without any interference. The new DC software while still allowing you to type and edit more than often enough recognizes the original text of the document making it editable and causing tons of interference with the user entered text. There should be a feature which locks text recognition and doesnt allow the editing tool to recognize the base document script which will allow for easy editing if you have to save and come back to a document and make changes.

  15. If there are no open PDFs, there is no reason for Acrobat to open the next PDF in the next staggered position as occurs when opening multiple PDFs at the same time. It interferes with open tools I like to keep on the right side of the screen.

  16. Outlook is unresponsive while a page is active in an Adobe Acrobat window. I am unable to navigate my outlook, send an email or open emails. This is very difficult since I need to reference select items from my Adobe window while writing an email. This forces me to have to print the documents while referencing the collective data which is counteractive to a paperless job.

  17. Could you please make a spellcheck a feature!

We review PDF's frequently and I would love the ability to easily highlight spelling errors and send the file back to the user.

    Hi,
I have forwarded the request to the higher management. Currently we don’t have any plan to implement it but we have kept it in our radar and will implement it in future release.
Meanwhile to see spelling errors, open Edit PDF and click on inside each bounding box one by one to see if there is any error in each paragraph.

Please confirm if this resolves your issue.

    Thanks
    Rachit
