  1. After creating and editing a PDF, everything will appear fine and funcitonal.

However, after saving, and reloading the PDF random letters throughout the entire document including headers, titles, and even sentences/paragraphs can be affected.

This is a ridiculous bug to have occur consistently for your users over the course of years now, as clearly evidenced by past bug reports on this website. This bug has cost our company thousands of dollars for our wasted time correcting this issue on very important documents.

This is a consistent bug and the comments on some similar posts regarding "Print through adobe pdf" doesnt…

  3. Please add functionality so when I drag a box on the screen it gives the option to select the comments. Ideally selection box one way, crossing box the other way - if Autodesk has a patent on that or something then please license it from them.

    Thanks!

  4. Reopen closed PDFs (pop-up)
Acrobat closed abruptly. You can restore the PDFs you had open.

It closed abruptly because I clicked the (X) in the top right of the application to close the app., while it was apparently doing some other function and not paying attention to the GUI.
There seems to be too much extra communication and file parsing happening, when I only want to OPEN the PDF.
How can I remove this "feature", so that the application responds to me, rather than attempting to determine what I want ?

  5. After re-installing Adobe Pro due to problems with crashing, when adding text to a PDF document, typing a colon or number would result in the digits moving to the left of all the text and appearing in a non-English font. On googling the issue, I found a thread referring to the fact that the Language default in Preferences may be set to "English with Arabic support" with all options for "Editing in Middle Eastern Languages" toggled on. This was the case for me and I reset the Application Language Preference to Same as operating system and toggled the Middle Eastern…

  6. Adobe Acrobat keeps freezing - every time the app is opened the PDF glitches and the screen doesnt allow you to click on anything and you have to force shut it down.

  7. This is a bug report.

A user reported Acrobat is crashing when opening a PDF and clicking on a textbox to edit it. It happens 2 out of 3 times on multiple PDF's.

We repaired the installation, reinstalled, removed the AppData\Local\Acrobat folder and also removed the Acrobat reg key but the problem persists.

I took a copy of a document and ran it on the previous version of Acrobat reader (On another PC outside of the users environment) and it didn't crash.

I then updated to the latest version (2023.008.20421 64 bit) and tested again, and the problem happens.

    Therefore…

  8. Acrobat is so buggy and should be rewriten. The cache always fills up when doing CTRL F in a document and stops working. It constantly crashes when viewing multiple 200 mb documents at once or long books.

  9. I think having cut and paste icons in a toolbar is necessary. I don't want to use keyboard shortcuts all the time because of the wear and tear to my keboard over time. Also, how does one have a bates numbering shortcut in the toolbar and not cut and paste? How is that more frequently used by more people than cut and paste? How many users do not need a cut and paste button?

  10. The concept of jamming application controls in the title bar is useless and has reduced the grabbable title area on my 1080p screen to a few pixels. Your hamburger menu is also less than usable on a full sized monitor, give us back a functional interface please.

  11. I love the idea that we are able to share PDFs online and allow invited users to comment on the PDF. But why in God's name would you not allow the PDF to be modified and the edits viewable without deleting and then having to reshape the document. Backwards thinking Adobe.
    • Allow moderator or selected individuals to collaborate and share the PDF for online review
    • Allow moderator to make edits and save back to cloud so viewers can view changes without having to delete the file, unsure the file and then resubmit sharing to those same people

  14. This is the worst pdf editor I have ever set my hands on. The simple issue of crossing out parts of a page TO MAKE IT NOT TRANSPARENT takes way too much effort with this useless tool. Shame on you for charging money for this.

  15. Please add more color options and schemes for highlighting and freehand drawing in Adobe PDF (for desktop and iPad). As of now, there are only nine (9) colors with varying shades. I'm a lawyer who uses a bunch of different highlighter colors on hard copies (orange, pink, etc.). To switch to paperless, I'd need these color options/schemes.

  16. We need signature requests sent at the first minute of each meeting, not before, as otherwise we won't be paid, and not after, as otherwise it interferes with the meeting. We have 5 meetings a day. This would allow us to send all the signature requests first thing in the morning, freeing up admin time during the day.

  19. Steps to reproduce the issue:

    1. In InDesign, create an A4 page with a full-page image rotated at an angle of about 2 degrees.
    2. Export PDF compatibility Acrobat 4, (PDF 1.3)
    3. Load into Adobe Acrobat.

The same error occurs on both Windows and MacOs.

For illustration I send screenshot: on the left image rendered by Apple Preview, on the right Adobe Acrobat.

Expected result: Adobe Acrobat will display the image without artifacts, just like Apple Preview.

  20. Hi there! In Acrobat, the rulers used to change size based on the Custom Resolution setting. I'm not sure when this broke, but it's not working anymore. Now when you change the Custom Resolution setting, the ruler stays the same size and does not measure accurately, compared to the Measure tool which does measure accurately.

For an example, see the screenshot. In Preferences / Page Display / Resolution, the system setting is 111, but if I change it to 130 so that pages display larger at 100% resolution, the size of the ruler does not change. When I use the…
