1. Restore "Always show document page size" to Acrobat DC

   Please restore this functionality - in XI it was in Edit/Preferences/Page Display. There is no way to know the page size without hovering the mouse in the lower left corner. Odd-size page sizes hang print jobs, wasting time and resources. It was easier to quickly scroll through 100+ pages and look for the oddities. Without this, we have to check every single page.

3. Adjustable Graphic scale set for Measure tool.

   As an architect or an engineer, we are always managing plans with different scales that have (usually) a graphic scale for reference. The measure tool would be EXTREMELY useful if includes an option to set the scale by selecting two points on an eventual graphic scale included within an existing pdf... this will help to quickly have the pdf in scale and ready to be measured.

   Please, include this feature.

4. Group/Lock text and corresponding form field together so they can be moved together

   I create many forms and every time I create a text field and corresponding form field (whether text box, check box or radio button) I have to move them around separately. the text fields end up grouping together with other unrelated text fields and adjusts line spacing randomly which makes it double-triple work to move around and adjust when laying out the form. Text fields should be left individual with option to merge with other text fields if desired. It takes me way longer to create a form than necessary because i have to constantly readjust the line spacing and ungroup text fields by recreating them.

5. Transparency grid / solid background toggle.

   There should be an easy to find, one click toggle type button that changes the background from white to the transparency grid.
   I often work with PDFs with some amount of transparency for one reason or another, and when showing people that are not familiar with the transparency grid it gets confusing, so if I could quickly toggle the background to white that would help out a lot. Actually, being able to toggle bleed lines and such on and off would be a big help too.

6. Constantly have to sign in , its making me mad.....

8. Unable to change Acrobat DC default settings

   Acrobat DC doesn't remember settings of action "Create PDF file from scanner", in Output: i have to manually select "Multiple files" instead of the default "One File",
   and when saving files at the end of the scan, i have each time to change the default acrobat directory.

9. Bug: Cannot send for signature

   Steps to repro:
   1. open an already saved pdf with a field for signature
   2. Click 'send for singature' in the right hand nav
   3. complete the info and click next
   4. receive error saying that cannot connect to service per the screenshot attached

   Environment:
   Mac OS Sierra (version 10.12.6)
   Adobe continuous release version 2018.009.20044

   Expected result:
   That I can send for signature

   Observed results:
   Get an error and cannot proceed to send for signature

10. Select text and Scroll

    Highlighting is the main reason why I use pdfs. The main method that I use is selecting the text through hold left click and drag followed by right click and highlight. Usually the page is zoomed so that I can read the text. In a two-column journal, it is often the case that I want to highlight text from one column [bottom] to the other [top] but because the page is zoomed in, the page has to autoscroll back to the top - the speed which this happens is very slow.

    Solution:
    Please consider enabling selected text [hold left click] while simultaneously allowing the scroll wheel on the mouse to be functional in order to bypass the delay described above. Currently to my knowledge this is not enabled.

11. Tab order feature

    The field view is entirely too small to manually edit tab order. This should either be a separate pane or perhaps a pop-out window. I easily have over 100 fields on one page and it's impossible to order them as I need to (by column, within a section or rows of fields). Default tab ordering structures (By Row, By Column) are not useful here. Need more flexibility to set tab order manually.

12. Latest updated version Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2017.012.20095 problem

    The latest version is taking too much time while saving the file. Sometime the latest version gets corrupted after saving. We fill that the older version was better.

13. right-click

    It would be really nice if the "Underline" tool was included in the right-click menu. Right now the Mac version has an option for highlighting and striking through, but not for underlining.

14. Bookmark Panel

    Please, please allow a feature to DISABLE the bookmarks panel. It is completely useless in most cases but always opens on every new document. I open a lot of new PDFs every day, and EVERY SINGLE ONE pops up with a bookmark panel that is useless and takes up half of the viewing pane, which I then have to close. Truly, it is enough for me to stop using this program and find any other option, even if it has fewer features. This feedback does not seem uncommon when I spent a lot of time searching around for a solution.

    Just put an option in the preferences to disable the bookmarks panel, please.

15. Acrobat Output Preview panel behavior change: Simulation Profile changed appearance, now values

    If I change the Simulation Preview profile in the Output Preview panel, it used to be that I would see my color simulated as if it printed/displayed in the other environment. Now, however, it's actually changing the color values to keep the same appearance. This is a bad idea. We need a way to turn this off or at least toggle it.

    I'm currently seeing this behavior in the 2024 version. I'm not sure with which version this changed.

    When you open a PDF, the Output Preview panel defaults to your working color profile, either set in the Acrobat preferences or synchronized through Bridge. Unless of course, the PDF/X file had a specified Output Intent, where it will default to that Simulation Profile. The ink values in the Separations are consistent with the exported file.

    I know I'm not imagining things, but it used to be when you changed to a different Simulation Profile, the view of that color breakdown would change, showing how that ink formula would appear in that other printing condition. All the numbers stayed the same, but their chromatic appearance on screen shifted to simulate the other condition. This is what (we assumed) this function was for.

    Now it's behaving differently: now if you switch to a different Simulation Profile, the values of the inks change. The appearance stays the same, but all the ink numbers move. This is consistent with a conversion.

    A similar behavior would be in InDesign, or Photoshop, with the difference between Assigning a color profile, or Converting to that same profile. One changes the appearance of those values, the other changes the values to preserve the appearance.

    This new behavior is causing issues for us.

    If I have a file I know is destined for a Fogra press, but was not output with an Output Intent specified, when I open it on my system, where my default CMYK profile is GRACoL 2013, that's the profile the Output Preview panel will display. When I change the Simulation Profile to Fogra 47, I get different CMYK values in the art. But I need to see the original values — in that other profile.

    This is not how this panel is supposed to work — not how it's labeled, not how it used to work in the past. I am not converting the color — my printer is not converting the color. (Most of them will not accept a color-managed PDF.) They are plating the ink values I've given them. Is that not the purpose of the Simulation Profile, in the Output Preview panel?

    Or someone tell me my memory is wrong, and this is some kind of Mandala effect, and this was always the behavior.

    Is there some application preference or setting to revert to the previous behavior?

    (I do not currently have an installation with an older version — 2021, 22 — to show screen shots of the different behavior.)

16. remove create button

    Remove the "+ Create" button in the top right of tabs. It takes up valuable real estate in the tabs and prevents the application from being moved around the desktop / different monitors. Absolutely useless and should be able to disable the button and reclaim that space and make it easier to move the application around.

17. Scrolling not working on "Bookmarks" and "Advanced Search"

    Since the latest Adobe Acrobat Pro DC update, scrolling is not working on "Bookmarks" and "Advanced Search". Please downgrade to last version ASAP when the scrolling works. This is causing so much inefficiency, and for the last 10 days work has been so much delayed. I think this is not just a matter to be fixed ASAP, but also needs proper apology and reward for the users who are paying a fortune in subscribing this Acrobat Pro DC.

18. Changes in the interface

    I'm not sure what the purpose of the constant changes to the program's interface is. Why was the toolbar moved from the right side to the left side? What does it mean? I have a problem with that. If I make a tutorial for colleagues at work, every change in the interface can be very confusing. It would probably be best to return the changes in the interface back to the original state.

19. Horrible updates, makes users less efficient

    This version is horrible! It's slow and quite "twitchy". It takes me twice as long to delete a group of thumbnails. I highlight one, press/hold shift to highlight another and the first one I selected becomes unselected. I've been working on the same document for about 20 minutes now trying to delete blank pages sprinkled throughout a 180 page pdf and extract small groups of pages. I keep having to either redo everything or totally close and redo everything. Toolbars are small. Toolbars are on both left and right. Those on the right make no sense (save and print....really? Top right?) Thumbnails show on right instead of left. We typically read left to right, not right to left. We should have the option to move the toolbars and not just our favorites or ones we use all the time. Please, PLEASE get these fixed!!

20. Make it easier to roll back to a previous version

    I loved Adobe Acrobat Pro version 2022.003.20282. I detest version 2024.001.20604. The old tools were far more user friendly and reliable. The new tools are clumsy, the new version keeps pushing the AI tools that I don't want, the new version tries to default to file protection which prohibits me from highlighting text. Speaking of highlighting, the old version let me highlight text with one click, the new version makes me click multiple times and then forgets my choice, wasting time and effort.
