  3. Need Adobe Acrobat for Linux. Most fill-ins do not work with the third party software available for Linux systems. So, we have to pay the M/S tax to do tax forms that our state demands.

  4. Right Click Look Up Words for their Definition

The option to search for the definition of the word just by selecting then right-click to chose Look Up is very helpful; though I wanted to report a small problem.

If a word has a period (.) behind and you select it, it will search the word in dictionary.com to include the period. For example, if I want to search for a word that is the last in the sentence i.e. the word [questionable.] it will look for that word and the period.

This does not happen with words that have a…

  5. Please include two very important editing features in Acrobat Pro.

Allow a "page setup" type feature, including:
1.) the ability to change the margins of the entire document.
2.) the ability to center text, such as a title, against the page margins, not just within the individual text box.
3.) the ability to align all text in a document within the margins, without having to manually align each and every text box. This is important for documents that have many pages.

Just like the editing features of Microsoft Word, these and other editing capabilities would make Adobe Pro an excellent…

  7. We need to be able to save WCAG compliant, semantic HTML files (e.g. from Firefox) as PDF/UA, but Adobe PDF does not offer this option. Saving as PDF/A does not produce a tagged (UA) file.

Adobe's pdf print gadget should use the browser accessibility tree, and tag the PDF accordingly.

PDF/UA has been an ISO standard since 2012. WCAG 2.1 was finalized in 2019, and WCAG 2.x compliance is now mandatory for public sector procurements in North America, the EU and various other jurisdictions.

What on earth is going on with your accessibility roadmap, Adobe? Apart from Acrobat on Windows,…

  8. When viewing a PDF that has the Avenir Next font type used in the body of text, the letters will not display properly when a bold or heavy style is applied to that font. Some letters are raised higher than they should be in comparison to other letters of the same upper or lower case status. See attached images. I've included the same exact font, string of text, and same exact file used, but one is displayed in adobe acrobat pro and the other is displayed on the web.

  10. "The lock document after signing" checkbox is not keyboard accessible.

    WCAG 2.0 and 2.1

    Success Criteria 2.1.1 Keyboard Accessibility

To reproduce this problem open the test.pdf and select the signature field. Choose or create a digital signature and select Continue.
Use the tab key to navigate the document.
You will see that keyboard focus moves from the Create button (upper right) to "View Certificate Details" and "Lock document after signing" never receives Focus.

"Lock document after signing" is not keyboard accessible.

Tested on WIndows 7 and WIndows 10 with Acrobat DC Pro and Reader 2019.021.20061 and 2019.021.20058.

    This feature was…

    Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to us for your concerns.
You can find the sign-Out button on the right most end of the Tab Bar in Acrobat by clicking on the Image icon for your account.
Alternatively, you can find the sign out button under Help → Sign out.

Let me know if that still doesnt solve your concerns ?

  13. When editing a text box the text does not provide a preview of what it will look like at a certain width with the text wrap. This is a feature Bluebeam has that makes it quick and easy to see how the text box will appear as you adjust the size, saving time.

  15. In Adobe Acrobat Pro DC's Prepare Form mode, before one of the more recent updates, I could click and drag my mouse over 1 or more interactive PDF form fields to select/modify and move them as desired.

When I wanted to click away/deselect them, the selected items would simply deselect no matter where I clicked (including existing text elements) and leave me in Prepare Form mode.

Now, when I attempt to deselect interactive fields by clicking on any element, such as text, Adobe Acrobat Pro DC takes me to Edit Text & Images mode.

If I want to click and…

  16. It would be great if users could insert a sliding scale field for range questions (like a 1-10 question) in the same way that we can insert a checkbox or text field when creating a form. I have to create employee appraisal templates and I need to include a slider scale. I have attached an example of a sliding scale.

  17. The highlight function should allow users to alter the words highlighted without having to delete the entire highlight and start over. For example, assume highlight 3/4 of a page and then realize I want to include or exclude one word on either end of the highlighted text. Currently, my only option is to delete the entire highlight and start over. This is cumbersome and time consuming. Users should be able to click and drag the highlighted text to change the words highlighted without having to start over.

  18. After last update (Osx and CC 2020) there is no icon on the top of the opened documents frame in Acrobat. Usually, to speed the work, I export PDF from Indesign, automatically they open in Acrobat and I drag the icon to Skype. Loosing this ability I must find the document in the finder every time.
Someone know if there is a solution to restore this function?
    Thank you

  19. New Acrobat Pro DC version no longer allows dragging the pdf icon from the top bar in directly into email.

Instead one must hit "share", WAIT..., then click "Send as attachment" then click "continue" to let it use the native email, then WAIT, then drag the pdf from that newly created email into the intended email.

  20. I have thousands of PDFs that have been password protected with the same password. I need to remove that security to add metadata to these files. There is no way that I can see to create an Action Wizard to batch process these files in Acrobat DC. Huge problem.
