handwriting
Recognition of scanned handwriting is extremely bad, even at maximum resolution. There should be a learning process within the Acrobat software in order to help the tool recognizing my handwriting better. I should be able to help the tool in recognizing the handwriting better and better. So far, this is not documented anywhere nore available in any way. Strange...as it was for many other software more than 10 years ago already.

Please ADD SUPPORT for more characters in path for combine file feature
During using combine file option in file explorer (or desktop), Acrobat is crashing (or freezing) abruptly:
The problem is that if the file path contains over 150 characters in total, I checked that a file that contains exactly 151 or above characters are having this problem but not below it. [I tried with JPG file(s)].I did like to request to either increase the limit to over 500 or just stick with modern apps's ways like its alternatives does (for example Foxit)

Manage My Account Ignors My Default Browser
My default brower on both of my W10 and W11 PCs is Chrome. When I click Manage My Account in W10 it opens Chrome. When I click Manage My Account in W11 it opens Edge, even though I have chosen Chrome in every possible default switch available. There is nothing in the Adobe Preferences that allows me to manage this. I read on one forum that I need to edit my registry entries for Adobe Browser settings. This is entirely unacceptable. I pay for this product. I expect it to use my default browser, period. No one should be expected to edit registries to make a paid for product obey user defaults in the OS.

AI Assistant (beta) button
Please give an option to EASILY get rid of the AI Assistant (beta) feature. Ever since installing the latest update, my Acrobat Pro runs SUPER slowly. I don't actually need AI to read documents. I do need Acrobat to be able to scroll without freezing constantly. Otherwise, what's the point of paying for Acrobat when there are tools that scroll perfectly fine for free?
The new UI is fine otherwise, but I had to disable it (View > Disable new Acrobat) just so I could scroll through documents without Acrobat freezing constantly since you added that AI Assistant feature.

Bug: MathML generation from structural elements does not escape xml characters
To reproduce, download the attached pdf file, formatted from the LaTeX code below (compiled with luaLaTeX):
```
\DocumentMetadata{
lang = en,
pdfstandard = ua-2,
pdfstandard = a-4f, %or a-4
tagging=on,
tagging-setup={math/setup=mathml-SE}
}
\documentclass{article}\begin{document}
This produces an error with screen readers:$x < 2$
\end{document}
Open it in Adobe Acrobat (I'm using Acrobat standard 2025.001.20844, Windows 64-bit), then attempt to read with a mathML-capable screen reader (I'm using NVDA 2025.3.2+mathCAT 0.7.5).
It gives an illegal mathML error. Looking in the NVDA log:
OSError: Invalid MathML input:
<math id="ID.010"><mi id="ID.011">x</mi><mo id="ID.012"><</mo><mn id="ID.013">2</mn></math>
Error is: XML parsing error at 57: {ExpectedElementName}
```
Notice that the '<' character in the pdf structural elements was not escaped as <, resulting in illegal xml. I assume this is an error on Adobe's side, as I encountered the same error with Access8math (another NVDA add-on for mathML).To reproduce, download the attached pdf file, formatted from the LaTeX code below (compiled with luaLaTeX):
```
lang = en,
pdfstandard = ua-2,
Privacy bug: Adobe Acrobat displays personally identifying information when preference is set to OFF for autofill
I occasionally give presentations that involve sharing my desktop, and potentially showing call participants how to fill out .pdf files.
Adobe ignores the privacy settings to NOT use auto-fill. I do not want my private information being displayed to random people.
I have looked everywhere both online on my adobe account, and in the program settings, and there seems to be no other place to override this form-prefill information and stop it from showing up. The program settings don't work. This is a security bug.
This is a bug. This used to work. Around 6 weeks ago, this stopped working. Steps to reproduce: Select Scan & OCR -> In this file -> Pages -> (User enters a page range). Then choose Recognize text. The page range shown in the dialogue box will be ignored and ALL pages will have OCR performed. Platform: Windows. Expected Result: Selected Pages get OCR. Observed Result: All pages get OCR.
Allow tagging in Protected mode
By default, currently tagging is not possible when Protected mode is activated. For security matters, would need to use tagging with protected mode. The goal is to classify confidential documents, to use tagging to filter/intercept via DLP (~intelligent firewall based on analysis of content), and prevent documents to be moved on external storage.
Bug: Image not loading with error "There was an error while reading a stream"
Using Adobe Acrobat( 64-bit )( 25.001.20937 ) on windows 11 the attached pdf does not load the image contained in the pdf. The error that is displayed is "There was an error while reading a stream".
I have tested the pdf in other readers such as KDAN PDF, PDF X and Foxit PDF Reader and in all of them the image in the pdf is loaded successfully.
AI Assistant frequently fails to return an answer
Hi,
The Adobe AI Assistant sometimes fails to return an answer. Instead, I get back "This file isn't currently supported. Please try a different file" (first screenshot bellow).
However, if I retry several times it will eventually succeed (second screenshot below).
I've also attached the PDF file that is being processed. It was obtained from the S.E.C.'s EDGAR website, after converting the HTML document to PDF.
I'm running Adobe Acrobat Reader on an Apple MacBook M2 Pro (third screenshot below).
Thanks,
BUG: Shared review: Reviewer forced to take ownership of everyone else's comments
Occasionally, when a reviewer opens an otherwise-healthy shared review, Acrobat forces that reviewer to take ownership of everyone else's comments. The consequences are:
- From Acrobat's perspective, the review now has only one active reviewer.
- Every comment starts with "On behalf of [original reviewer]".
So, for example, if a review had comments from Olivia, Shilpa, and Franklin, and the problem occurred when I joined the review, the review would now only have comments from me, and the comment text would start with "On behalf of Olivia", "On behalf of Shilpa", and "On behalf of Franklin".
This is undesirable because no one can filter by reviewer after the problem occurs. It also clutters the comment text itself.
Unfortunately the problem occurs highly intermittently, with no obvious root cause.
See https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/reviews-and-prevent-to-take-ownership-of-comments/m-p/11208978 and https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/shared-review-quot-on-behalf-of-quot-problem/td-p/11216621 for previous Adobe-community reports of this problem.
It is also possible that the problem occurs with Adobe Reader. Due to the intermittency of the problem, it's proven impossible for me as an end user to determine this.
Please fix this, so that shared reviews never attribute existing comments to anyone but the originator. Thanks.
Integration of a non-modifiable variable
Hello,
I would like Acrobat Sign users to have the ability to integrate variables that cannot be modified by the signer.
The goal is to be able to modify a value that appears in multiple places within a text, such as a price or a delivery time, all at once.
The read-only fields {{!price}} already allow for the repetition of a value in several places within a text, which is part of the solution, but it would also be necessary to be able to assign a value to them for the solution to be perfect.
Thank you for your attention to this request.
Sincerely,
Henri
Tab title name to match file name
The header/ title of the tab open in the pdf should be the same as the file name. I don't understand why Adobe is trying to guess what the title of my document should be. I know what it is and the file is named as such. Go back to that, please. The guesses are incredible incorrect, confusing and frustrating.
