  1. When sending a document to someone using the eSign digital signature feature, they have the options "Type" "Draw" or "Image". I request that we as the sender have the ability to remove the "Type" option. A typed signature on the resultant signed pdf file is not suitable for legally binding documents. I want to the ability to restrict the recipient to the "Draw" and "Image" options so that a real signature is captured on the document.

  2. Please forward to your designers:

Your OCR and optimization settings are all guesswork and generally produce counter-intuitive results in terms of image quality and file size.

Not only are the results counter-intuitive, it seems there is no combination of settings which does not create a fuzzy mess of the text.

Adobe is incomprehensibly inept at handling its own creation.

  3. We would like to use Adobe Acrobat and Teams integration. However, this stores the copy of original document (PDF) on Adobe document cloud for 24 hours (which is a transient copy). We would like a feature update so that transient data is not sent to the Adobe cloud.

  8. I would like to be able to place images within a folder, then batch convert many folders to produce 1 PDF per folder. For example "FOLDER1" contains 10 jpges. I would like FOLDER1.pdf to be 10 pages, "FOLDER2" to be FOLDER2.pdf and so on.

  9. Had to redo PC. Downloaded and reinstalled Adobe Pro DC. No dark theme setting available. Contacted Adobe support. Tech insisted that the only way to help was to remote in. Tech changed some registry settings and from my recollection, the spt tech installed a "repair software". Then my system started revving up terribly. I didn't like what I was seeing. I ended session, reverted back to an image before remote session. Reopened Adobe Pro DC. Turns out the download gave me 2015 (classic) vs newer. Tried to update, it said it was up to date. Thankfully I found an older…

  10. Several major bugs have been documented by users in the Adobe Community Forums since Acrobat and PDF Maker were updated on September 14, 2021.

    They are:

1: Alt-Text from MS Word is not converting into the PDF. Instead, it is dropped and gibberish code is inserted. See https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/alt-text-converting-wrong-from-word-to-pdf/m-p/12393017 This violates the PDF/UA-1 standard which requires that every graphic have alt-text that verbally describes the graphic.

THIS IS A HUGE BUG. You essentially have made Acrobat unusable for those who are required by their country's laws to make fully accessible PDFs.

2: Every cell border on every table cell is being…

    Hi,

Thank you for raising these accessibility issues. The post mentions about the following six bugs being introduced with the update that went live on September 14, 2021

1: Alt-Text from MS Word is not converting into the PDF. Instead, it is dropped and gibberish code is inserted
2: Every cell border on every table cell is being tagged as <P>PathPathPathPath
3: The underline on Hyperlinks should be tagged as artifacts
4: Borders and background shadings on Text Boxes are being tagged as a combination of <Figure>s and PathPathPath
5: Paragraph borders and shadings: same deal as #4 above.Per the PDF/UA-1 standard, they are visually decorative and should be artifacted
6: Dragging and dropping elements in both the Tag and Order panels is now broken.

Would like to mention that out of these, #1 and #6 were introduced with the Sep 14 update and remaining (#2, #3, #4 & #5)…

  11. hello,

if i use the comment-textbox with partially underlined text and i need the same comment-texbox at some other points the copied one is full underlined.
if i want to correct the underlined part i need to click on the underline function twice to remove the underline

Tested with Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017 and Adobe Reader DC 2021.001.20145

  12. When I have PDF security set to Content Copying: Not Allowed in Acrobat DC but allow low-resolution printing, I can still copy text from the PDF in Apple Preview. If I also set printing to Not Allowed, then copying of text is disabled. It's a both or none situation. I need to allow low-resolution printing, but not allow content copying.

  14. I use annotated pdfs all day every day to get client edits and apply them in InDesign. I can't tell you (but I will attempt to try) how maddening it is to simply copy text from a comment box to paste into InDesign. Why can I not simply select the text?! I have to double click on the text that I want to copy, which opens a white box around the text. If I then double click again to select the text (without moving the cursor) it closes the box without copying the text! Instead of simply selecting…

  16. Provide support for HEIC files. This is apple's new standard and lots of clients send over these image files like jpegs that need to be inserted into my pdfs. PDF is intended to be the "universal" format so this seems like an obvious addition. Thanks!

  17. See attached image. This toolbar that adds nothing new or useful other than to make it more difficult to access or read documents needs to be easily removed/minimized/docked by the end user. I can't imagine what made anyone think "obstructing access to the document is what users want!"

  18. Synopsis:
    A) Please fix duplexing such that page one of a document always begins on the front of a sheet of paper. This means a the back page of an odd-numbered document should be blank.

    B) Please let the Collate button both be visible regardless of the number of copies and let it have a default and/or remembered setting. The combination of it being initially invisible and the defaulting to the less-desirable setting results in wasted printed material.

    Detail:
This is a consistent problem that sprung into existence about a year ago, near as I can tell on both…

  20. I need to retrieve an un-OCR'd image of a (48 page) file. I know it's in there because it pops up every time I open the file and the system automatically goes through the OCR process then allows me only to save the post-OCR'd file. I click on the OCR turn off but, as I open the file, it clicks itself back to OCR land. This is very frustrating.
