  1. When in the "Organize Pages" view, you can hover your cursor over a single page and a toolbar appears beside the page, giving you the option to Rotate Left, Rotate Right, Delete, or Insert. However, this toolbar does not intercept mouse clicks from passing through to the thumbnail of the page. So say your page needs to rotate 180 degrees, and you quickly click one of the rotate icons twice. If the thumbnail view of the page is behind the icon (for instance, an 8.5x11 page in landscape), then the thumbnail interprets the double-click as a command to open that…

  2. This is to some extent a refinement or extension of other questions here. One of the things I have to do just often enough to not have it "habit" is batch processing of PDF files, usually to reduce file size. I have a custom tool created, and have now figured out how to "find it" when I open Acrobat.

Assuming one has gotten to this point, there are two specific functions that would make this much easier, based on what makes sense to this user: I want to be able to drag files "somewhere" to process them.

    Photoshop (and Acrobat…

  3. The View > Rotate View tool seems to only work and display correctly in the Page Thumbnail pane, in that all the pages display as being rotated (as it is just a view). When using the same tool while viewing the document via Organize Pages, it only rotates the first page (even when no pages are selected). Can this be corrected to display correctly in the Organize Pages view?

  4. I think it would be a good idea to be able to name several property names at once, and be able to add a suffix at the end. So if you are naming 10 different form cells "Address" you won't have to type in Address01, Address02, etc.

  5. I was previously able to sign documents using a saved image via the fill and sign feature. I have now installed DC and when i open the fill and sign feature, I am able to add text to a PDF document but when i click the 'Sign' button, my saved signature images do not load. The box which is supposed to contain the signature images shows up but there is no content in it.

This is happening with multiple docs. I was able to use this feature without any trouble until a few days back.

    Hi,

Thanks for reporting the issue. Can you please provide us some more details :

    1. Please make sure you are on the latest version of Acrobat. To check go to Help > Check for Updates.
    2. Are you observing a blank Sign drop down in Fill and Sign app?
    3. Are you able to use the Adobe Sign application?
    4. Can you please try signing out and then signing in to Acrobat?
    5. Are you under some network/firewall restrictions? If yes, can you please disable them and try again.

    Regards,
    Sandeep Grover

  6. Use 'Open' to add an Enfocus PitStop toolset. It appears in the right-side ribbon with the 'Active' icon. Click on this icon => it changes into a black square.
When using 'Add' to add the same toolset, it appears using the 'Inactive' icon, clicking it makes it Active but it is not showing the 'Active' icon.

  7. This recent update is extremely frustrating. It dropped off tools that were in my toolbar previously (page view/zoom options disappeared) and I had to figure out how to get them back.

Not only is the comments bar is now uglier/bulkier, when you have sorted comments to not include ones marked as completed it no longer dynamically removes the comments you mark as you go. You now have to go back and clear your comment filter and reapply "none" to hide completed comments.

To add insult to injury, there is no longer an option for other versions in ACC, so I…

  9. I'm using Acrobat Pro 11.0.0 on Windows 10. Running an action to convert pdf to pdf/a. If an input folder is specified to process and the folder has a large number of files, the Action stops at about file #250 with an error message that a .dll file (sorry I didn't get the full file name) is missing or corrupt. Have to use Task Manager to close Acrobat. Works well if number of files is less than about 250.

  11. Livecycle:

After accessing a Excel sheet as a dataconnection. Sending email will crash Adobe Acrobat DC with no error.
Also if you start by sending an email, you can't Work with Excel sheet as a dataconnection.
The problem is not there when using a normal mssql as a odbc source.

The error is reproduceable. I have attached a pdf to show the problem.

  12. When using Acrobat DC and Preview concurrently; performance on DC is by far inferior. Scrolling, rendering, etc. is very slow and is evidenced by high CPU usage.

Upon further inspection, Preview delegates this workload to the GPU and provides a much smoother user experience.

This suggestion is to implement CPU/GPU resource management to improve user experience.

  13. If the Mac is connected to a WLAN hotspot, but has no internet access via this WLAN and I start Adobe Acrobat, the program crashes. The interface opens briefly and then Acrobat wants to log in with the account to check its license. Either the program terminates itself or the Mac has the beachball. In this case Acrobat cannot be closed normally. Only if I kill the program the Mac can be used normally again. If I have internet access via the WLAN or deactivate the WLAN, Acrobat will work again.

  14. Move the menu bar to title bar like Photoshop and stop wasting screen space. I always have to press F9 after opening each PDF file because I rarely use menus and they insist to be there to waste my time and space.

  16. Behavior: When selecting one of the radio button options, the border disappears. Note that this appears to be affected by the field highlighting, which is enabled by default for Reader and Acrobat.
    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Setup a form with multiple sets of radio buttons, where at least two options exist for each set of radio buttons
    2. In the Appearance properties tab for the radio buttons, set the Border Color to black and Line Thickness to "Thin"
    3. In the Options properties tab set the Button Style to "Cross"
    4. Open the form and select one radio button from…

    This is as designed.
As you select the radio button, you will observe a light gray, beveled frame appears around each button boxes.
You can see the difference as you make changes in “Line Style”

    Hello!

I have a Mac (10.14.3) and suddenly I can't sign PDFs. When I press the "Sign' tab, the drop down options appear (see image 1)--but when I select 'Add Signature' the entire window turns dark gray (image 2) and the only way, I can get out of this mode is to press the 'Escape' key on my keyboard.

    Any advice is greatly appreciated!

  18. I believe there are no current JavaScript functionalities to format the text in an auto generated email or even the alert method. This could include bold, italics, or highlighted, in the actual body of the email. Are there any plans to implement this in JavaScript, or to allow HTML to be used for this?

  20. I can't get the number of pages to show up in the navigation pane/tools. In previous versions it was where the hand, arrow, and + and - buttons are. Is there some way that I can get the number of pages in the document without having to open thumbnails and scrolling down to see the total number of pages. Usually there was a box with 1/200 pages etc. Thanks!
