Smaller& lighter Acrobat Reader
Get a smaller, lighter Acrobat Reader without artificial intelligence. The current one is too big and makes the computer very slow (including when starting up). I just need a PDF reader, with markup, commenting and quick search tools!

Add "add text comment" (without a border) tool back to new August 2023 Acrobat experience
I can't find "add text comment" (without a border) tool in August 2023 Acrobat.
When I choose another similar sounding tool called "insert text comment" and clicking on a newly-created blank page, nothing happens. (I don't know what this for in either old or new version. It may have something to do with cursor?)
Workaround is to use "add text comment" (with a border), change properties to always have no border displayed and resize the border after typing.

Dialog box opens on the wrong screen
When trying to customize the Quick Tools toolbar, the dialog box opened on a different monitor than the application. I didn't realize that and force quit the application because it looked like it froze. Only after reopening did I realize what was happening.
It would be nice if it consistently opened in the same monitor the application is open in. I tried this with the display maximized and not maximized and it didn't make a difference.2 votes -
Combine use of stylus and fingerpint
I do a lot of pdf commenting, and I use a stylus/pen on a touch screen laptop to make this easier. The problem is that once I turn on the highlighter tool, I can't use my finger to scroll through the document, because Acrobat doesn't distinguish between the finger input and the stylus input. So I have to manually switch back and forth between the highlight tool and the arrow tool. Most other touch-capable PDF programs distinguish between finger input and stylus input, allowing you to scroll through the document with your finger and then highlight as needed. Is there…

Disable popup toolbars for certain toolbar functions like "T" (add a comment) but still allowing them to be usable.
I would like to be able to disable the popup toolbars that come when you click certain tools while still being able to use that tool. As accountants we never need to edit the font or size of our comment editing so we never need the accompanying toolbar.

Custom Keyboard for hotkeys --- Why do I have to click on the check box every time I want to make one? That's so silly. Same as the text box and all the other tools. That should be built into the program.

Restore change number of thumbnails rows
On new Adobe, when I adjust the size of the thumbnail view, it now makes the thumbnail really big without also letting me adjust how many thumbnails are displayed per row. I want to be able to see 2 or 3 rows of thumbnails at a time but I have to make the thumbnails pane really big and increase the thumbnail size a lot before that kicks in. And there's way too much wasted white space between the thumbnails as well. Please bring back the ability to see multiple rows of thumbnails or make it a separate function than the…

Adobe Standard crashes on Fill & Sign
User will be working with a PDF, they will try to open Tools or Fill & Sign, from the right side, and Adobe crashes. If this instance happens again and the user tries from the menu bar instead, Fill & Sign (and others) are grayed out. The issue seems hit or miss, as with the same document is suddenly worked.
Error in Event Viewer is generic, "Adobe has stopped interacting with Windows".
Windows 7 x64 SP1, Adobe Standard 11.0.20.

Make main toolbar customizable for our choice of icons not yours smaller too.
Should be allowed to customize the Main Toolbar you can put whatever you have - but some are not useful at all, the older one you could add whatever you wanted this new one is rubbish. Also the icons need to be smaller too so you add more too. Automatic Reoccuring Desktop shortcuts
Like so many before, I want to have control over my own computer. If I ever had any reason to want a desktop shortcut for Adobe, I could create one. Or I could request one on install. I have NEVER wanted one. So one should not appear on my desktop every few days, no matter how many times I delete it or hide it.

Markup tool, Text Callout font size
Adobe can do better with the Markup tool as more people are transitioning to digital. I used to use Bluebeam and mark up drawings for review. I'm using Adobe now and I cannot change the text size inside the Text Callout that I drew. How inconvenience is this?

Bulk Changing of Font Color in Acrobat Pro XI and DC
As also expressed in a bug report related to the changing of font colors within a PDF file, I would like to see Acrobat Pro XI and DC have the ability to change the font color of all pages - or a specified range of pages - within a given document, in one pass. Right now this process must be laboriously applied, one page at a time.
This feature would be analogous to the Crop Tool, for instance, which does provide the ability to apply itself to all or to a range of pages within the specified file.

Better support for keyboard shortcuts to markup documents
I have been using Adobe products for Graphic Design and Publishing work for many years, and for most of it my co-workers and I have stuck to paper printouts and pencils for markup. Now that we're all working from home, we're relying on Acrobat and PDF markup tools and I'm so frustrated by how unintuitive this program is, compared with InDesign, which I use on a daily basis. Insert and replace default color
When using the "Add note to replace text" (insert and replace) commenting tool, it is impossible to edit the default color of the replacement mark using Properties. This used to be possible, and is still possible for other commenting tools. (Adobe Acrobat Pro via Creative Cloud on MacOS 12.6.7)
