  1. The new "what's next" side panel button does not go away when de-selecting it from the side panel tool bar. It abruptly opens after changing between tools like Scan/OCR to Accessibility. This happens after editing a PDF as well. It is disruptive and unhelpful for my workflow.

  2. This is someone else's comment, but so apropos! "Visual designers managed to ruin a tool that was excellent and practical. The environment is now completely different, difficult to use, confusing, with no work flow. I would recommend a book to designers: Steve Krug's "Don't Make Me Think"."

    This is impossible to use.

    I chose the "user interface" category only because I couldn't select "all of the above." I also created an account for the sole purpose of posting this.

  3. Allow option to choose font, font size, etc. when fields are created so I don't have to go back and change all of the fields to the format I use. This can be several hundred times per document and it would sure save me some time and effort.

  4. A figure created in PowerPoint for Mac is pasted into a Microsoft Word for Mac document, but then a Windows based colleague with Adobe Pro and Word for Windows creates a PDF from the docx.

    Problem: The figure is silently omitted (blank space on the page, no warning).

    (a) BUG: even if you can't render it, doing so without warning is very poor as it means we need to check ALL the figures in a big report to make sure they have come out.
    (b) PAIN POINT: there is no obvious vector format for the Mac user to use that…

  5. Don't open bookmarks by default!

    When opening a document that has bookmarks embedded in it, the bookmarks panel opens automatically (and slowly) and takes up a third of the screen. It's infuriating, takes several seconds before it can be closed, and is completely pointless. Ditch it, or make it take up a tiny fraction of the screen space. I hate the way Acrobat prioritizes bookmarks over every other aspect of the interface.

  12. Acrobat is soo frustrating. Everytime we enter text is a space the text is a different size. Please add multi-select capabilities with options to make the text boxes align on the bottom and make the same text size... .OMG. Please fix. This is been awful and still no fix. It makes people and business look amaturish.

  14. Hello,

    I'm working as a proofreader and I have used a lot the commenting feature to mark errors and point potential improvements to typesetter working in InDesign.

    Especially useful was the feature of typing leading or trailing spaces in comments (e.g., in Add Text or Replace Text features) such that typesetter in InDesign can automatically apply my remarks to the book.

    Recently, however, I've discovered that Adobe removed the possibility of leading/trailing whitespaces - see this page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/whats-new.html (and in an attached image).

    It is not even possible to disable this "enhancement" somewhere in options. I (and probably a lot…

  15. HAD MENUS SET FOR EASILY DOING WHAT I DO. AFTER THE UI CHANGE I HAVE TO SPEND A DAY RESETTING THE MENUS. HIGHLY INEFFICIENT AND A WASTE OF MY TIME. DO NOT THINK THAT ONCE I RESET MY MENUS PERFORMANCE WILL BE IMPROVED, BECAUSE AFTER THE PREVIOUS UI CHANGE THAT WAS NOT THE CASE!!! FROM THE OTHER FEEDBACKS IT IS OBVIOUS THAT ABOBE DOES NOT CONSIDER THE USER!!

    It just changed in the middle of the day!
    I dont know how to use this "new" version
    Whoever thought of this is terrible idea
    Now i have to try and figure out all new way to do the PDFs
    Please put it back to NORMAL!!!
    I can;t find anything.

  19. My idea is that "rearraigning" everything doesn't make things better. People who use tools like to have the function remain the same. This new interface is terrible. Changing the way things look all the time should be left to social media pages. Adobe is for work. My workflow is not improved with this change, it's worse.

  20. Application Error
    The instruction at 0x0000000066BC0560 referenced memory at 0x0000000066BC0560. The memory could not be written.

    Click on OK to terminate the program

    This happens after opening a PDF in Adobe Acrobat (Continuous Release Version 2024.002.20991 | 64-bit).

    This error is received after opening a PDF in Acrobat. I have run the add/remove programs > Modify > repair program and am still getting the error. I tried to run a repair on Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop app, but it only has the remove option. Checking for updates reports that everything is up to date.
