  1. There is currently not a way to align text vertically within a text field. The only alignment options are left, center or right. I would like to be able to have the text align bottom center or center left.

  2. You should be able to set the defaults for the rich text paragraph settings. Currently if my users delete the text in a form field to enter their own input they have to us the hotkey to bring up the rich text properties, click more, and then choose "text middle/bottom/top" to get the desired layout.

As the form creator I should be able to set these for a form field the same way I can set the alignment, Left/center/right/justified.

Text Centered vertically is very useful for certain forms and needs to be possible even for multi…

  3. Adobe Acrobat Pro needs to have the ability to create expandable text field forms that allow the text box to expand when the user types similar to what you can do with Livecycle.

This is a feature that has been requested a lot online. Currently Acrobat Pro only allows multi-line text field forms with a scroll bar, but you cannot create an expanding text field form that increases in the height of the text field to accomodate more text.

The functionality to create this even in Livecycle is too clunky and complicated to use.

  6. I create many forms and every time I create a text field and corresponding form field (whether text box, check box or radio button) I have to move them around separately. the text fields end up grouping together with other unrelated text fields and adjusts line spacing randomly which makes it double-triple work to move around and adjust when laying out the form. Text fields should be left individual with option to merge with other text fields if desired. It takes me way longer to create a form than necessary because i have to…

  8. Under the prepare form area, you can add form fields. However, you can't rotate the field box. It always stays straight. I would like to be able to rotate it based on the direction of the image/text in the project.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

  9. When I have form fields that I created and that are filled in, I can't change the field size or shape without it distorting the text completely. I have to drag it to distort, hit undo, then do it again. The first size change screws up the text, but the second time does not. It's very aggravating when I need to adjust numerous text box sizes and have to do everything twice to avoid stretching the text.

Please share the acrobat version you are experiencing this issue with. You can do so using the link -helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/identify-product..

Have you tried it with any other file to confirm that this is not file-specific issue.

Also, can you “Check for Updates” and re-test the issue with latest version.

If this still doesn’t resolve the issue, please share the test file and a video of the issue via
https://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-7161 for us to investigate further.

  10. Currently there is no easy way to create a form from scratch with numerous lines and fields. It is easier to create it in Word and then export it, but then there are issues with editing and aligning field boxes to the text. Please make a feature to snap the text boxes to field boxes so they line up perfectly and quickly.

  11. Any time a member of our service team utilizes adobe acrobat for fill out a form, when they delete text a shadow remains and doesn't go away. This makes it impossible to edit text within a form field and is super frustrating. I tried to contact adobe support but they said they couldn't help and told me to fill out this bug report. As soon as you click off the form field the deleted shadow text disappears. See photos

  12. 2017 Release (continuous) - v 2017.009.20058 - Windows 10

Idents (Spelling error should be Indents) are set to left and right 0 points and spacing above and below are 0 points on text form field. Alignment can be any setting, line spacing set to solid or exactly and there is still additional padding to the text area. Left and Right margin padding is less but top and bottom padding is larger. Please fix.

  17. As designers, we love to push the envelope. For interactive PDFs, can we have a form field option that is circular. The text is centered within the circle, can handle Auto text sizing, the font can be specified, and the leading/line spacing can be set tighter than the current default.

  18. When running the form field autodetection there are e.g. multiline text form fields detected. The names of those fields and the alternate field names have a length of up-to 2249 characters (consisting of nearly the whole page text).
I know that theoretically text strings can be 32K or greater however a meaningful name should be much shorter. So would it be possible to limit the size to a meaningful length of lets say 255? In case no string can be detected the name is "undefined_28" which is good and short...
    Thanks

  19. On Adobe Acrobat DC for Mac, when trying to program a calculation, the Field Selection dialog box is much too small to see the field names, and it can't be enlarged! There doesn't seem to be a way to select the fields outside of the dialog box on the form, which would be very convenient and make sense. It makes it impossible to use the calculate feature if you have long field names, which Adobe creates by default.

  20. In Adobe Acrobat Pro DC's Prepare Form mode, before one of the more recent updates, I could click and drag my mouse over 1 or more interactive PDF form fields to select/modify and move them as desired.

When I wanted to click away/deselect them, the selected items would simply deselect no matter where I clicked (including existing text elements) and leave me in Prepare Form mode.

Now, when I attempt to deselect interactive fields by clicking on any element, such as text, Adobe Acrobat Pro DC takes me to Edit Text & Images mode.

    If I want…
