1. Duplex and reverse pages don't play well together

   Acrobat should behave logically: If I get 5 sheets of output when printing normally, I should get those same 5 sheets -- only in reverse order -- if I click the "Reverse pages" option. For duplex printing, the current implementation makes no sense.

   Suppose a 3-page document. With normal page order we get:

   Sheet 1: Page 1/Page 2
   
   Sheet 2: Page 3/blank.
   

   With "Reverse pages" we SHOULD get:

   Sheet 1: Blank/page 3
   
   Sheet 2: Page 2/Page 1
   

   But what we actually get is:

   Sheet 1: Page 3/Page 2
   
   Sheet 2: Page 1/blank
   

   Yes, there is a circumstance under which that would be desirable: If the pages in the PDF were in reverse order. I contend that is NOT a common occurrence. (And if the pages were in reverse order, it would be simplest to "print" them to a new PDF with the "reverse pages" option selected, which would put them back in the correct order.

   There is a workaround: Add a blank page at the end of the document. But for hopefully obvious reasons it would be better to fix the program.

   Not convinced this is a logical error? Then look at how Acrobat handles "Multiple" printing. I have a document that, when printed 4-up, has two full and two blank pages on the final sheet. If I switch to "Reverse pages," the sheets come out in reverse order -- but the "final" page (which now prints first) still has two full and two blank page images in exactly the same places as before. If the Multiple printing option used the same "logic," then when selected "Reverse pages," the first sheet out would contain 4 page images and the last sheet out would have 2 full page images and 2 blanks.

2. Repetitive Exception Error

   When I edit a document to fill in boxes, I repetitively have to work through an exemption processing error for every key stroke. I don't know how to get past this except to use an older version.

3. Circling Items

   When i circle an item and go to print the circles do not show up. Be nice if the circles would print, so i do not have to print and circle by hand.

4. Hebrew encoding doent work anymore

   Something doesn't work with Hebrew encoding in the last week.
   After saving a file filled with fill & sign the Hebrew text disappeared or was encoded in Jibrish signs.
   Furthermore, Hebrew text can't be edited in fill & sing mode once filled while numbers or English text can be edited

5. the zoom in/out % box is so annoying

   (Windows users) after using Ctrl + mouse scroll wheel to zoom in and out, the % box appears at the bottom right for a while, that makes me cannot use the space bar to scroll the screen immediately. It needs to wait for a while for the box to disappear. This is stupid and very bad user experience, pls fix it.

8. Make low resolution document high resolution button so they will OCR

   Create a tool that makes low resolution documents high resolution so OCR will work. User needs to be able to redact documents, but OCR doesn't work. She has to go in and print to Microsoft pdf and then she is able to OCR and search.

   Please cut out some steps by making this automatic or adding a tool.

   Searches on words such as 'differentiation' fail in documents where the double f has been formatted as a ligand (the two ff's joined as one symbol). This has been known for thirty years and yet it still happens, it's ridiculous that such a simple feature of text should be able to disable such an important function and advantage of using PDFs to communicate information.
   And by the way the hoops you made me jump through to log in, even though I was using correct email and password were just ridiculous -- I simply won't waste my time trying to get to you to improve in future and if I had any say in my company's IT choice I wouldn't use Adobe any more

    I am attempting to generate PDFs which are considered accessible using Python.

    I am checking their Accessibility in Acrobat and getting what I think spurious warnings with regards to the title tag.

    In the new version of Acrobat (just became available), the page control features need to be returned.

    In the old version, the page controls toolbar could be docked at the top or made so it would appear at the bottom of the page when the mouse went near it. That option was incredibly useful, please bring it back. It allowed an easy single click to change how the page was viewed, either by making single page view, or page scroll, and also by allowing a quick button to view page thumbnails.

    Also, in the new Acrobat, there doesn't appear to be a pan function, please bring that back too.

14. Choose sheet size and other properties when creating pdfs from jpeg

    (I have already posted this in community, but was directed here. Fortunately there is a "solution" but it is a bit laborsome, at least the first time: see here:

    Hello,

    I think that the possibility to choose sheet size and other properties when creating pdfs from jpeg is missing. It is nice to be able to combine several jpegs to a pdf by the "combine function", but unfortunately, this creates huge sheets of the jpegs as opposed to the regular A4.

    I had to go into each jpeg and print them from "windows photo", and that should be unnecessary. Maybe I am overlooking a solution, if not, this function should be added.

15. Turn system back to Windows 10 version

    Allow drag and drop of pdf files from a file to an email in Outlook. It worked previously until I went from Windows 10 and Office 365 to Windows 11 and Office 365.

16. Search for contains the term being searched for

    I am looking for the ability to search for a term where the term is "contained" and Acrobat will highlight all of these occurrences.

    For example, I wanted to search for the term "scenario" and highlight all occurrences of it whether it is found as "scenario", "scenarios", or other variation. Unfortunately, I could not find any option that allowed for this. All I got was a teaser when typing the search term where it showed me that it could find the term as "scenario" (19 of them) or "scenarios" (just one) but would not for a combined result where it would highlight all 20. This would be extremely useful. I looked at the advanced search and while it show all 20 found in the results, the term is not highlighted in the document which is annoying.

    Is there a way to have the basic search do "contains" searching so the search term is highlighted throughout the document?

    I am looking for the ability to search for a term where the term is "contained" and Acrobat will highlight all of these occurrences.

    For example, I wanted to search for the term "scenario" and highlight all occurrences of it whether it is found as "scenario", "scenarios", or other variation. Unfortunately, I could not find any option that allowed for this. All I got was a teaser when typing the search term where it showed me that it could find the term as "scenario" (19 of them) or "scenarios" (just one) but would not for a combined result where it… more

18. Control/Command + S

    When I command/control+s to save a PDF from the reader on the Google Chrome extension, it does not save the PDF. So I have to manually click the download button and it takes a lot of my time, as I have to use Acrobat for work every day.
