  3. Unfortunately Acrobat DC buries an important tool; the ability to select text. I believe it is hidden somewhere, but I have yet to find it. It is very common to want to select some text in a document. Why bury a common task deep within the program? There seems to be the trend these days with software to a have a minimalist interface and bury the most common tools. My toolbar has the least commonly used tools as standard.

  4. It is possible to highlight text, but not enter anything in the comment box (no need to in my case). Eventually, the comment box locks in place and you can't close it.
Workaround: save and close the document and re-open it.

  5. The way the tools lay out in Acrobat 11 are very easy for page replacements. Because the documents we work with are lengthy and complex, I'd like to see Replace tool much easier to work with.

    I want to see simultaneously:
    * Bookmarks or Thumbnails
    * The PDF pages (current document)
    * the Replace tool icon ready to use

In the current product (Acrobat Std DC 2019.021.20056) has an icon for Replace that is hard to find, and when clicked, you are forced into a visual layout that is rather difficult.

I need to navigate with my bookmarks, or with…

  6. Within PDF's we often create notes and comments. The text font and size sometimes needs adjustment. Having used MS Windows all our lives we are conditioned to simply highlight the text, right-click and a pop-up box appears with "properties" listed. Unfortunately with Acrobat DC Pro "properties" is not an option. Now we must navigate 4 layers deep into the menu: View > Show/Hide > Toolbar items > Show Properties Bar

The right-click for properties feature is widely adopted by third party software companies that want to create a seamless experience for the user within Windows. It is a necessary productivity…

  7. I purchased a monthly plan of Acrobat DC. I was not able to install via Adobe Creative Cloud. Therefore, I downloaded the installer from the Web, and have succesfully installed Acrobat DC. I am now asked to provide a registration serial number. Where can I find this number?

  8. In previous versions the Ctrl+F box would appear and you would type your text and hit enter. When searching your next text using the Ctrl+F shortcut would automatically highlight the last search text so you could automatically start typing your new 'find' text. With the new update, it doesn't highlight the last search text, instead it puts the cursor at the end of your last text making you backspace the text or stop and click to highlight the text. This is a huge efficiency loss!! Please help!

  9. Very frustrated with Acrobat at the moment, I reguluarly save my work but every now and then it just randomly closes down! Sometimes it recovers what I do and other times like now has just lost it.
Why is a service I am paying for work worse than a Microsoft product that can have auot save... and doesen't just randomly close throughout the day. Very annoyed. This issue needs to be fixed.

  10. If I wish to delete a file which has been opened and then closed in Adobe Acrobat DC, I need to close the Adobe program to delete the file. Without closing the Adobe, I cannot delete the file. It says "cannot delete the file as it is open in Adobe Acrobat DC"

  14. Since the update from 2019.012.20035 to 20036 I cannot even view a PDF-Form created in LiveCycle Designer on Acrobat Pro Win any longer. Also the DataMatrix-Field that worked perfect with 20035 is not updating in Adobe Reader (where I CAN display the form!!!). On a Mac with same version visibility of the form YES, but also no updates of DMC on both Pro and Reader. This must be fixed very soon!

  15. It seems like every simple task I was used to doing in Acrobat XI takes more clicks and time to perform in Acrobat DC. Seriously, what can this version do that makes this upgrade worthwhile? So far, it's a complete disaster.

  16. Worked fine until recently. If I try scanning, exporting or any major action it just closes. No error message. Running Win 10 Pro 1909 and Acrobat Standard 2015.006.30505. Went through all troubleshooting steps still ng.

  17. Would you disable, or at least provide an option to disable, a popup when highlighting a text? This is very annoying because this occludes text I am currently reviewing. Please do not interfere with the user's intended task. It is up to the users who will decide what to do with the highlighted text - after reviewing it thoroughly. Blocking it with the pop up interferes the work process.

  18. Please revert back to an older version. I hate the new DC version. I used to be able to have my frequently used toolbars readily available when I opened acrobat. Now I have to use several additional clicks to get to the tools I need. It defeats the purpose of paying for acrobat when it defaults to nothing more than a reader. I've spent considerable time looking for a setting to leave the toolbars on the side of my extremely wide screen, but they are well hidden if available at all, and I refuse to sign in to anything.

  19. During troubleshooting scenarios we periodically need to save a problematic PDF file as a PS file to regenerate it with the distiller. As a result, the bookmarks are lost. We would like to see an option to export bookmarks from a problem PDF file and be able to import them into a working PDF file. We understand there are 3rd party solutions that can achieve this but we work with highly sensitive data and would prefer an Acrobat native solution that would be available in Acrobat 2017 Classic and Acrobat DC.

  20. A change was recently made to the limits on Adobe Document Cloud Shared Reviews. Prior to a recent update, the review limit was set to 25 files per day irrespective of recipients It has now changed to 50 total recipients.
I have a distribution list comprised of primary/backup reviewers from several departments within our organization, totaling 15 recipients. With the new limitation, I am now limited to either 3 reviews per day or have to pair down my recipient list to primary reviewers only and keep track of when a review has to be sent to a backup recipient and…
