AI assistant button
Like every other service, Adobe as well keeps making things increasingly difficult for people who are not neurotypical. Like this new AI button that SCREAMS in the right corner. Because of these kind of features, using these services (of which we pay a great deal for) is getting almost impossible. I really would appreciate the developers to take into account people whose brain simply does not work in a way that ignoring that HUGE colourful button in the corner is possible. Now that it is there, I cannot use Adobe Acrobat anymore without sticking a sticker to my computer screen…

Buttons no longer work
Since the last update (2023.008.20533) the buttons no longer work.
If you click on them, a security warning appears. If you allow them, this message appears:
"This pdf cannot be displayed in adobe or reader and the application is now terminated"Another, locally stored pdf should actually be called up.

Interactive PDF crashes Acrobat after pressing button (on release or tap) to go to file. Does not happen (on click).
This issue just began on 2/14/2024, mid-day, after InDesign and Acrobat updates. Interactive PDF created and exported from InDesign causes Acrobat to crash (with error but without option to report). Problem happens after pressing a button within an interactive PDF to go to file. The file opens but I immediately receive an error that reads "This PDF cannot be viewed in Acrobat or Reader, and the application will now exit". Bug: Reader/Pro crashes when clicking directly into field
Reader/Pro crashes when clicking directly into field to fill in a form. However when clicking into the pdf then into the field it doesn't crash.

New "intuitive" layout
The new "intuitive" layout is HORRIBLE. I do not understand what your motivation was for changing literally everything and moving things around to random locations. It makes no sense whatsoever.

Changing OCR language results in immediate crash
I have documents in both French and English. Changing the OCR language from English US to French results in an immediate crash, repeatedly. Note that changing to English UK does not.
I removed by Prefs file, and all starts working again....for a couple of days. I first scan French! Then English! But when I go back to French, an immediate crash.

E-Sign Scammers
Scammers pose as clients to get a hold of the documents we send for signing. It should be an option to turn off automatic send documents after signing and I should be able to control who I allow to be able to download a copy at any point of the signing process. I need to be able to verify the persons identity who filled in the document and signed it before they get a copy of any documents or be able to download the documents. Can these options be put in a future update?

Total Number of Pages - Bug
I think this is a bug, or maybe something wrong with my display settings.
The Total Number of Pages in the toolbar only shows up to 4 characters. The current page box doesn't show the full number either but at least there are dots to indicate something is not being shown.
Attached is an example where the file contains 40,000 pages but only shows as 4000.

Fields deleted when I Request ESignatures
When I click "Request E-Signatures", it randomly deletes fields on the next page. Before I have a chance to do anything, the undo button is active, and so far I've seen anywhere for 2 to 30 steps of undo that can be clicked to restore fields that deleted automatically after I clicked "Request E-Signatures". It also deactivates my ability to fill pre-fill cells before it sends. Right now, it just sends out without asking me what to put in pre-fill fields.

Back Away From The New Version!!! (it's awful)
I HATE this new acrobat!!! It is not user friendly at all. I just want my editing tools to be visible and the other things hidden unless I need them. I will continue to actively find ways to disable this new view. It is aparant that the engineers who decided on this new view do not actually use the edit tools very often. As an educator, I use them ALL THE TIME!!!

Bug: tick cannot be removed
Tick cannot be removed with arrow-tool.
Like on every other normal application i can use the arrow tool to mark something and - in this case - to delete it (like pressing the delete-button or use the basket-sign). Except here in acrobat. I have to use the tick-option to remove ticks. When i use the arrow-tool i can see the basket-sign, but i can't reach it. Please be free and look at the video i've uploaded with this Bug report, so you can see what i mean.

Version 2023.008.20470 sucks.
Version 2023.008.20470 sucks. I did not initiate the update, and I want to go back to a previous version. The layout is terrible. Simple functions such as zoom do not work as well. The save feature is disabled most of the time. Fill and Sign feature is slow and sluggish.
Was the previous version broken? I didn't think so. So why did you change it?3 votes
