  2. The german version of the helpsite is contradictory to the english one:
    In "Additional Information" it reads:
Acrobat kann OCR in einem Dokument durchführen, das bearbeitbaren Text enthält.
In the english version it reads:
Acrobat cannot perform OCR on a document that contains renderable text.
The german version should be corrected because it is misleading!

  5. Remove the 'Home', 'Tools', 'Document' buttons.
Again, these buttons seem to me that they belong on the main tool bar, instead of wasting tons of space on the 'customizable' quick access tool bar. Why are they there? i don't know.
It seems to me, that adobe has a lot of programmers with ideas, but no adobe test users, to let them know, whether the idea is good or bad.

Adobe: please don't rely on us, the general user, to give you feedback to do that job for you. We all have work to do, and want to get it done…

  6. Remove the 'share', 'feedback', 'learn', 'notification' and 'profile' buttons.
these buttons are rarely (possibly never) used by the average pdf user.
even if they are used by some, they should be removable, just like any other tools on the 'customizable' quick access tool bar.
it is very annoying to have 5 big buttons getting priority over the customizable tool bar. I add and remove the buttons i need on the quick access tool bar, and they end up being hidden by 5 big useless buttons.
move these buttons to the help menu, where they belong.

  9. As an agency, we prepare artwork in Indesign and PDF to send to clients. All work is proofed within Acrobat prior to sending and amended if required.

Any amends are re-pdf'd and re-proofed. These amends need to stay under the same version no (read file name) but unfortunately Acrobat now caches pdfs so if we amends a document within indesign and re-open in acrobat with the same file name, it will open the older cached version and not the updated version.

Because this is our internal proof, this file name and version no needs to stay the same before we…

  10. Add a setting for zoom wheel reverse.
Push should mean the part or doc on screen goes away from you… eg work goes away
Pull the wheel toward you … pulls the item / work towards you…

  12. Suggesting: Fill-able Fields and Signature Fields should have separate rights and properties that made them independently manageable such as:

Providing users the ability to lock out the ability to fill out a fields SEPARATELY from signing fields when using password protection

OR simply making these fill-able and singable fields distinctly separate to where when going through the process to send a document out for the signature of recipients, users are able to ensure that fill-able fields REMAIN READ ONLY.

Problem: We would like to fill out a form for a new employee including their pay rate for their offer letter.

  13. Prior to fall 2019 I could export a JPG file from Photoshop at the resolution specified in the print option. now as of release 21.1.1 it only exports as 96dpi. (As a work around I need to use Adobe Bridge to export the file correctly.) The current online documentation was done in 2019 and supports how I had been exporting.
I understand the export interface was standardized. This appears to be a software regression.

The output resolution of a jpg file should be able to be adjusted by the user from the export interface.

  14. On accessing the below link

    https://cliffordchance.eu1.documents.adobe.com/account/home

    • user is directed to SSO page
    • he provides his email address there to sign-in
    • if the user does not have the necessary license to use Adobe Sign, he gets a weird message that the users do not like (screenshot attached).

Can you please change it to something that is more meaningful to a common user and he clearly understands what is it that he/she is lacking.

  15. I used acrobat to create a fillable pdf. Now, when I receive them back, I want to be able to combine them into 1 pdf. When I do that, it overwrites all the fields with the info from the first file. Incredibly not helpful. If there was a box that I could check that would tell the program to flatten the files before they were combined, that would be helpful.

  16. Seems like the ArtBox preview is redundant to the TrimBox preview. Is there a way to change ArtBox to Safety guide preview? And have the page margin guide be the Safety? The preview would be helpful for reviewing live areas before the trim.

  17. Mac OS Catalina Version 10.15.4, Fujitsu ScanSnap i500, HP Officejet Pro 8210. Acrobat DC
I cannot print some large files to my HP 8210. It spends a long time sending it, but nothing happens except it disappears from the que. Since having to abandon the old Acrobat 11 Pro, this has been a reoccurring problem.

  18. When sharing a file for feedback, it would be nice if the shared file would update once changes are made and resaved. So you don't have to send a new link, which could get confusing if someone opens the wrong link. I hope that made sense. If this is already possible, someone please fill me in.

  19. I am encountering problems with poorly labeled controls in the Acrobat DC Action Wizard. As a blind screen reader user, I would greatly appreciate anything you can do to improve the control labels that are spoken by screen readers. I am using the JAWS 2020 screen reader with Acrobat DC version 20.006.20042.
    The issues I have encountered:

    1. Some of the button control labels are unclear and it is difficult to determine which control has focus. For example, when adding a Watermark, the button to add the watermark is spoken as “Add”. If I press “space” to select this option, another…

    Hi,
I checked the issues after your response.

For point 2, the behaviour is as designed. It seems that the user have to select the option as the default selected item is the last added item in RHP and if no addition is done, then none of the option is selected. Further, I’m not able to hear “AV container View” with controls. I’ve informed the engineering team regarding this.

For point 3, I have raised the issues with engineering team and hopefully it will be fixed in future release.

    Thanks
    Rachit

  20. According to the PDF spec it's possible to create coloured annotations which are non-RGB. However, when you create i.e. a CMYK annotation, Acrobat takes the first three values and interprets them as RGB. I.e. [1 0 0 0] results in red instead of cyan, see attached example.
Interestingly, Preflight validates the document so somewhere in the company the knowledge is available.
The goal should be that annotations are displayed correctly independent of how many colour channels are there.
