  1. Acrobat Pro Mac 2017 classic: Combined pages got mixed up (sometimes); Bug? - Acrobat Pro 2020 Mac is dead slow.

    We use Acrobat Pro 2017 Classic on MacOS High Sierra. Before the school holidays, we bought a license for Acrobat Pro 2020 Classic that is installed on the same machine.

    We mainly use Acrobat to OCR screenshots and combine them into one PDF. Such a PDF contains between 40 and 200 OCRed pages. Sometimes we use TIFF, sometimes we use PNG as source images that need to be "PDFed".

    The workflow is this:
    1- Combine source images into one PDF in Acrobat Pro
    2- Crop borders of each page in Acrobat
    3- Export each page to a directory as a…

  2. Document Cloud Audit Logs

    A logging feature similar to messages traces in offices365 with retention policies.

    If a sensitive document is shared with an external party we want to know what was shared, when it was shared, and to who it was shared. Ideally this information would be store based on the companies retention policies (10 Years, 5 Years, etc.)

    Would also be nice to have an eDiscovery function as well similar to O365

  6. Control Auto-Update version - Auto update to a version number.

    Currently versions of Adobe Acrobat suite have 2 forms of updates.
    Manual and Auto.
    Unfortunately on the auto update, Minimal controls exist. So corporate users have to either deploy a server to host all auto updates and publish as they become available. OR accept that the latest version will be applied immediately as they become available.

    The hosted server, is an option, but will put further pressure on VPN's as users are most likely to work in a hybrid home/office environment.

    What would be useful is borrowed from googles approach with Chrome, where a simple policy or registry key can…

  7. Creating tabs and choosing file and vertical tabs

    Please introduce tabs in Adobe reader DC so that when we click the new tab button , it should open a OPEN dialogue and let user select file and open it in new tab . This would be really useful and adding vertical tabs and grouping tabs to it makes it even more attractive to use . For example , If i have 10 PDF open and 5 of them is my studies , I can create a group and put those 5 in the group and when i click on it , the files list can expand like normal.

  8. Override Creator's view preference

    A user's viewing preference should be able to override the creator's preference. I should not have to adjust my zoom preference every single time I open a new document or even select a new page from the bookmarks menu. The creator choosing a micro 43% zoom standard is stupid and forcing the reader to go through a bunch of extra unnecessary steps when you could just make the user preferences override those of the creator in terms of viewing formatting.

  10. Acrobat forms in French - date picker in French, number formatting for French

    I need to create French versions of forms where there is an option to format numbers as 44 534,41 $ rather than $44,534.41

    When adding a date field to a form, I also need a French date picker, so the French users see the calendar in French.

  11. App crashes when editing hyperlink

    I can replicate behavior. There are comments on certain hyperlinks in a document. With the comment selected, if I click on the hyperlink and then on edit, whenever I click on Actions, the app crashes. If I edit the link without the comment selected, app works OK.

    Cannot sign PDF with certificate using Adobe Pro DC - SERIOUS BUG.

    Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 21.005.20058 (and previous versions like 20.009.20063) work OK, but Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 21.005.20058 (latest version) generates the error:

    Adobe Acrobat Error encountered while signing
    Error encountered while signing
    The credential selected for signing is invalid
     
    System: macOS 11.5.1 (20G80) Big Sur.

    No problem with older Adobe Acrobat Pro DC versions like 2020.009.20063), but error with all newer Pro versions.

    This serious bug that blocks productivity workflows has been unfixed for more than a year now, even after reporting it many times. I hope…

  13. Edit PDF: Need an option to darken Faint Type in a Pre-typed Document.

    Pretyped document (received via email) that has Faint Type - Sometimes one page is faint, yet balance of pages is fine. Need option to Darken the faint type - best if can darken only the faint type (highlight faint type within a page to darken only faint type within a page) OR (darken type on only one of several pages) OR (darken type when all pages have faint type). Option within the Edit PDF Option. Without latter option to fix faint type within a PDF, the more complex option leads to reduced type quality (print, copy to darken, scan).

    Even though I installed Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard in my new computer, I don't use its software due to the activation problem. My software S/N is 1016-1166-0657-7645-3866-7335.   19. Provision of feedback to customer on use of Adobe products

    When installing, we get the message that the software is installed on too many devices. Why not do like Dropbox and tell the customer these are the devices this software in on...and then ask which would you like to deactivate...simple, particularly in the cases where the previous device is no longer available and cannot be deactivated by the user.

  20. When reducing large PDF files that contain Links, Graphics and Type remove white lines from pixel misalignment

    I am on an iMac running Mojave. Since I am a graphic artist, I create large Illustrator files that need to be converted to PDFs and emailed for proofing. However, when the files are optimized through Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, the resulting PDF has numerous white lines running through it. I would like to see a quick, efficient way to reduce files that are around 100mgs and still be sharp, clean files with no lines. I understand that they don't print, but my clients always question them and are skeptical when I try to explain that the lines won't print.…
