  2. Acrobat DC has become a royal pain in the behind. First of all, with this NUL license concept, it takes way, way too long to convert Word documents to .pdf. It sits there doing nothing for a long time, and finally wakes up and begins the process. Is it possible you people don't test these things? This always happens now, ever since your brainchild change. Secondly, it keeps telling me that it failed to install a version 2020.009.20063, when that version is already installed! What a nuisance of a system this has become.

  5. My ADobe Sign tool button disappeared - I had to chat online with tech support - she had me sign out and back in - still no Adobe Sign button but I saw a new button Request Signature (which is now Adobe Sign) but now every time I close out of a PDF I can't see either tool anymore - I have to sign out and back in again to see the Request for Signature. what is going on?

  6. Would be fantastic if text or signature fields can only be completed if certain other fields are completed or boxes checked. I know DocuSign offers this functionality in their commercial license, which is very expensive.

  7. There is an issue with the "Review recognized text" feature. It fails to properly update the OCR text when a correction is made. It erroneously replaces the special character "•" with "€" upon clicking Accept. So for example, the slogan "Cleaner Air • Safer Roads" will be saved incorrectly as "Cleaner Air € Safer Roads". I'll happily provide the example document via email if requested.

I'm running MacOS MacOS Big Sur Version 11.0 Beta (20A5384c) and Acrobat Pro DC Version 2020.012.20048

  8. I like the ability to capture HTML pages together with images into one PDF document.

Unfortunately the web has changed and many web pages use Javascript to fill out the DOM tree, as a result content is missing from pages like:

    https://ropercenter.cornell.edu/ipoll/search?q=dreams

which makes a blank page PDF. There are tools out there that can make a capture of modern web pages using Chromium, PhantomJS, or HTMLUnit to run the Javascript. One can be found here:

    https://conifer.rhizome.org/

sometimes these work, but the WARC file and the WARC file players are awful. It reminds me of the times that you go…

  9. When an error is made in an Adobe Sign template, but the error is not realized until after the document is sent for signature (or worse yet, already signed), it is nearly impossible to correct the issue and re-send the form. It should be the case that, a document pending signature or already signed, can be re-sent and everything is already filled out except for the field which was modified. For example, I realized that I accidentally assigned one field at the end of a document (among dozens of fillable fields) to the wrong person...the person got all the way…

  11. When trying to open a second pdf in an new tab, Acrobat DC crashes after some seconds of freeze.

I found the reason for this in the latest two Win 10 cumulative updates of 08 and 09/2020. Skipping the update in August and hoping, that the update in September works better didn't help. Deinstalling these updates solves the problem.

Some other applications are affected as well (like the launcher from EA/Origin or the Samsung Magician).

This is the message from the windows event viewer:
Name der fehlerhaften Anwendung: Acrobat.exe, Version: 20.12.20048.6926, Zeitstempel: 0x5f5b9602
Name des fehlerhaften Moduls: D3D9.DLL, Version: 10.0.19041.488,…

  12. When flattening the attached PDF with Acrobat DC, the shade (which is covered by a vector object and therefore only visible as some kind of a frame), becomes visible.
This is clearly not the expected results and therefore a bug.

  14. Why in this day and age have you still not added any functionality to combine emails into a PDF directly?! Enormous amounts of global productivity is wasted each day on having to individually save thousands of emails individually into a PDF format in order to be able to then bind them into a PDF. You could actually just resolve the issue directly and make everyone's lives a little less ******.

    Sorry for your inconvenience.
It seems InDesign hangs for you. It is not clear how Acrobat is involved in the process. Can you please explain the workflow?

  17. Dear Adobe Acrobat developers,

I constantly use check boxes and radio buttons in my forms. I put them right over the desired box (mostly designed in ID) which also have labels (also designed in ID) right next to them. In order to make the label a clickable zone just like the check boxes it would be oh so cool to expand the box right or left aligned until it fully covers the label underneath. Maybe the attached PDF can explain that better. Thanks for your feedback, Ralf

  18. I have OCR'd a lot of old newspapers. I have made the OCR and I want do edit the results. So I have my bit-map picture behind the text I want to edit. When I delete some text ans save my job, the part of the bitmap picture I have OCR'd is also deleted (or is invisible). Is it possible to delete text in a OCR'd document and keep the part of the bitmap picture visible? I am using Acrobat Pro 2017 since my Mac pro doesn't support Acrobat DC (10.12 required). How to make what I need (keeping the…

  19. With setting the view of PDF file as fit to window, any 2 consecutive pages are displayed at consuming around 50% of the screen. whenever we user create any bookmark at the lower part of the first of these 2 consecutive pages. For example, p.100 and p.101 are showing simultaneously, i.e. bottom part of p.100 is showing at the top 50% of the computer screen. However, the page no, showing in the menu bar had became p.101, i.e. any bookmarks to be set at this bottom part of p.100 do not connected correctly. Please refer to the attached video for…
