ALWAYS DEFAULT TO HAND TOOL OR SELECT TOOL - USER PREFERENCE
Make a reliable way for users to set a default for either the "pan" or "text selection" tools. You will see both issues have been raised in online help forums and suggested on this platform.
I use Acrobat mostly for reading documents. I am so tired of inadvertantly highlighting text or selecting images every time I left click and drag the mouse in an effort to pan because the system defaults to the Select tool rather than the Pan tool.

Why was screen shot removed? The explanation in help is useless.

Apple Silicon Native Installer
Even though Adobe has supported native Apple Silicon since Sep 2021, every Apple Silicon Mac user has to FIRST install Rosetta 2 BEFORE they can install Acrobat and THEN in the Acrobat preferences set Acrobat to run natively. Why?!
Why, after over two years of having Apple Silicon Macs available, can't there just be a native installer that does NOT require Rosetta?

remove SHARE - FEEDBACK and HELP buttons from top right toolbar.
Allow users to remove these buttons as they take up quite a lot of space. ADOBE continues to worsen the user experience using this PAID app, by forcing icons in valuable real-estate.

stop the popups
I just opened Acrobat, and it gave me another "look what's new" popup. Every time it does this it freezes for a good minute. I have three new computers, the one I am using is a i7 12th gen 1280, with 32 mb of ram. So, not a slow computer by any means, and yet this mild distraction is very frustrating, especially for power users, who are the ones who are going to recommend your products. Connect reading order to heading tags
The Reading Order tool ought to be able consult the Tags for how to prioritize content. It seems like a no-brainer that a tag identified as an H1 should be at the top of the page. But the Reading Order loves to put H1 content at the bottom of the page. These all have to be repositioned manually, page by page. Waste of time that seems like an easy software fix.
I tried to attached one example page, but this page did not accept my file.

Preflight window does not work in Windows 11
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
- Install Acrobat DC on Windows 11 using Creative Cloud client.
- Open PDF
- Go to Print production tools.
- Click Preflight
ENVIRONMENT
- Windows 11 64-bit.
- Have tried physical machine and virtual, Windows Pro and Home, Service pack 1000.22638.1000.0 and 1000.22636.1000.0.
EXPECTED RESULT
- Preflight window opens, listing various preflight options & profiles.
OBSERVED RESULT
- Preflight window (without profiles) opens in background, but is immediately followed by an error message: "Unable to copy the user specific preferences:" and an OK button. Clicking the OK button closes the Preflight window.
Trying repeatedly to open the Preflight panel eventually leads to an empty…

Fix mouse scrolling!
I am submitting this as a BUG REPORT because vertical mouse scrolling in Acrobat is seriously broken! Even with continuous mouse scroll turned on, you can't even use the mouse wheel to scroll because it's so slow. You have to resort to the year 1997 when you had to click and drag the scroll bar, because it's the only way to scroll through your document at speed. Can you please fix vertical mouse scrolling to match the speed of web browsers and Microsoft Word? Thank you!

Enhance read aloud function
@adobe, may I suggest R&D in your read aloud function. This function is truly painful to use. I’ve converted my doc into Word to use read aloud. Assign a command+key shortcut for cropping pages (not an accelerator key)
A one-key accelerator key (C) exists, but in order to use it, one must activate the whole set, which leads to accidentally starting lots of processes by touching a key by mistake (or by typing a seach term into the Find window too quickly. Acrobat used to have Command+Shift+C for this purpose, but it is not included in the latest version.

read aloud rewind
Read Aloud: My favorite would be that READ ALOUD CONTROLS for PLAY/PREVIOUS/NEXT/PAUSE/SPEED present in a bar to limit having to go through the menus, annoying. Menu options, there is no previous or forward options, so only restarting the reader? So, now I am looking on google for control functions basically for rewind/fast-forward/pause. limited menu functionality on rewind/fast-forward but not finding control function keys to get around that yet, also annoying. place audio/speed keys in an easily accessible bar on the screen of the document, not embedded in menus only, and not only via control keys, please. Invoices to be emailed automatically to business
To have an option where invoice were automatically sent on the monthly billing cycles would be a huge advantage.
I think it is needed as this is what almost every other company offers.
It would save a lot of accounting hassle for many companies.
Not having this ability has lead to our company looking at alternative options for our business and not staying with adobe and recommending to others that they look elsewhere.
It is something that seems to have been requested multiple times.
Can this please be addressed.

Issue with copy-paste option in multiple languages
With the new version of Acrobat, the copy-paste process between a PDF document and other text field, doesn't work properly. The special characters (i.e. French accents like é è à) don't show up anymore when we copy-paste without formatting. I spent three hours with the technical support and they finally said: "this is normal with the new version". The copy-paste process works like this now"...

Give back the text box
I want the framed box back. I put all kinds of status notes on PDFs and with the true Text-Box I could see them when browsing in Explorer.
Hidden comments or hidden sticky notes are useless for this purpose.

How to disable "Export PDF" option in "Adobe Acrobat Pro DC"
• We have password protected PDF file and it is still allowing users to export into word file.
- When we open that file in "Adobe Reader" and try to export the pdf in word, system is showing an error saying that "The file cannot be converted because it is password protected"
- However, the same file when we open it in "Adobe Acrobat Pro DC", it is allowing the same file to exported in word file.
• Our customer wants to prevent their legal pdf documents from being exported in any other file.

Acrobat - Option to change the cursor into laser pointer for presentations
I build most of my presentation decks in Illustrator and export to PDF for Acrobat. It would be useful to have my cursor act like a red-dot laser pointer for presentations.
Now that so many meetings are remote (Zoom) it would be nice to have more robust presentation features.
PowerPoint has this feature, but I hate PowerPoint.

Set Defaults For Output Options When Splittings PDFs
Each and every time I split a PDF, I must manually set the folder I want the files to save to. I should be able to set the folder path one time and Acrobat will default to that same folder next time I split a PDF. This goes for all the settings whenever splitting a PDF. It would save me time if Acrobat remembered what options I used last when splitting a file.
