  1. The ability for the user to change the color and brightness of the highlight when using "Find" (Ctrl F) is needed.

In many companies, Adobe Acrobat is used to view and edit thousands of different styles of documents. In many cases, multiple colors are used in each document. These documents can have thousands of pages. The most convenient way to search for particular information is to use the "Find" (Ctrl F) tool. The highlight color that is currently used can easily blend in with the surrounding colors of the documents, making it difficult to locate the highlighted search criteria. If…

Can you please elaborate more the issue you are facing with the File rename eg where and when do you want to rename the file.

  3. Synopsis:
    A) Please fix duplexing such that page one of a document always begins on the front of a sheet of paper. This means a the back page of an odd-numbered document should be blank.

    B) Please let the Collate button both be visible regardless of the number of copies and let it have a default and/or remembered setting. The combination of it being initially invisible and the defaulting to the less-desirable setting results in wasted printed material.

    Detail:
This is a consistent problem that sprung into existence about a year ago, near as I can tell on both Acrobat…

  4. A number of people continue to think it's a "bug" rather than a "feature" that the pan tool selects images & text by default in Acrobat DC. And they ought to be right, this is not a desirable feature for a pan tool, vice a select tool. In fact, it's why you have a select tool in the first place: to select images & text.

Pan tools PAN, as allow you to navigate through the document by clicking & dragging. This feature is literally defeated by having it select images and text when you click & drag. As such, it…

  5. When opening any PDF, document loads in DC, then hangs for ~10s while license status is accessed. Once license status appears in lower right corner (e.g. "Your current plan is Acrobat Standard DC, annual"), app becomes responsive again.

New issue, very annoying, please fix.

  6. For some reason, we cannot delete PDF files store on a network because the preview handler locks the file. We have to hit the delete key which opens a windows prompt that the file is in use, then unselect the PDF file, and then click in the windows dialog to try again.

  7. I updated to Adobe Pro 2017 and using Outlook 2013 with all current updates. When I use the Adobe PDF Maker in Outlook it will not include any jpeg files. I have verified the conversion settings are correct, I have even tried dragging a group of emails into "combine files" in Adobe 2017 but regardless the jpeg attachments to not transfer.

PLEASE HELP - I need the complete emails with all attachments for a legal case. I even purchased evermap to convert the attachments in a portfolio to PDF so they can be bates stamped. BUT if the attachment is…

  9. When using Adobe Acrobat Pro for scanning documents every 10 minutes, I need to have a "Home" screen with only one button - "Create PDF" + "From Scanner" + "Grayscale Document (front side)".

The new setting is driving me crazy. I wish I could downgrade to the old Adobe Acrobat design!

  10. Why is it impossible to install Acrobat Pro (or any other Adobe product) on a Mac using a case-sensitive file system? There is no reason for this, and Adobe software is the only software I have ever seen that has this issue. It does not make any sense.

Before you suggest it, NO, I will NOT reformat my disk. Telling people that they have to wipe their computer in order for your software to work is not acceptable. We pay a lot of money for your products and should be receiving decent support.

    I have seen that a fix to…

  11. There is currently no way to get the tab order of fields in a PDF file via JavaScript. While it is possible to set it by creating fields in the desired order, there is no way of getting the order of already available fields – only alphabetically. Giving the Field object a new property or reading out another sorted list would solve this.

  12. Acrobat processes hang in task manager. Clicking on a PDF file or the application shortcut will not launch the program but task manager shows Acrobat running. Killing the process and trying again still does not work. Users have to sign out or reboot several times a day to get Acrobat to launch.

  13. I use annotated pdfs all day every day to get client edits and apply them in InDesign. I can't tell you (but I will attempt to try) how maddening it is to simply copy text from a comment box to paste into InDesign. Why can I not simply select the text?! I have to double click on the text that I want to copy, which opens a white box around the text. If I then double click again to select the text (without moving the cursor) it closes the box without copying the text! Instead of simply selecting the text…

  14. Some PDF documents seem to contain meta data content that's causing Adobe Acrobat DC and Adobe Acrobat Reader to move/resize their program window when such document is opened.

This behaviour is rather annoying and it may lead to accessibility issues.

Please, either stop Acrobat/Reader from moving/resizing their program window when opening a document containing such meta data information, or provide an accessibility option in Preferences to optionally have Acrobat ignore that meta data information.

    Hi,
The issue faced by you is due to the setting of the document set by the user. Please see the following setting in the document :
    1. Open Document→File → Properties → Initial View Tab → uncheck Center Window on screen

Please make sure the setting is not checked in your document to avoid the issue.

    Thanks
    Rachit

Thanks for reporting your concern. As of now there is no such option. I will share this idea with the team.
We will get back to you if there is any update.

    Thanks.

  19. While opening a pdf that was scanned in the wrong direction, an algorithm would detect which side was up and automatically rotate the document so you wouldn’t have to click rotate manually. This would be a big time saver.
