   have a feature to close 'all tools' , 'edit' , 'convert' , 'E-sign' on second click if it is already active.

   it is a hassle to open the pane by clicking one button and closing using another (the X button)

2. Bug: Exiting Read Mode Traps Search Bar + Hides Scroll Bar

   Could not find this bug,

   To reproduce:

   1 Enter Read Mode in any document (had it on numerous .pdfs)

   2 Exit Read Mode, and try to search or find the scroll bar

   3 Search bar trapped halfway into document/under UI, scroll bar gone (another though less annoying consequence is the lack of automatic reformatting of the page when opening the left navigation tab e.g. bookmarks)

   4 Note: search function and scroll bar are present and functional when going back into Read Mode

   The problem arises when trying to use these functions after EXITING Read Mode.

   Environment:
   -Lenovo Yoga 720 (13")
   -Windows 10 Home (update settings untouched)
   -Google Chrome, Notepad, Microsoft Word mainly in background
   -.pdfs vary from well-optimized documents with only text, to bloated documents full of layers and images, experienced in all kinds

   Expected result:
   When leaving Read Mode, search function and scroll wheel appear as before entering Read Mode.

3. Lagging when comments are open on m1

   Using acrobat on the m1 with native OS mode on. When opening the search box or comment scrolling through the pdf starts to lag. Its not a smooth experience at all.

4. Restore choice of default view opening pdf for first time (e.g., 2-up cont. scroll)

   Acrobat DC is better than 11.x in many ways, but one lost feature is the ability to default opening documents viewed for the first time with 2-up continuous view (or other choices). Downloading pdfs from many sources, pdfs may be single page, single page scroll, etc, with bookmarks or menus open or closed. Acro11 actually worked when setting this default to 2-up. In DC preferences/page display/default layout & zoom, setting to 2-up has ZERO effect on documents opened for the first time. They open in the default of the provider. Please make this function WORK, as it did in v11. It does remember to re-open for user in the view in the previous instance, but that's not good enough. Wasted time and clicks every single download.

5. Search/organize/filter comments by reviewer

   Need the ability to view comments by reviewer/commenter to quickly see who provided feedback and what feedback. Perhaps a side pane filtered results (by reviewer) similar to how bookmarks work.

6. Highlighting and bookmarking on protected documents

   It seems that when an author creates a PDF and locks it, the allow highlighting and bookmarking are not a separate item. You should separate this so that it can be a more enjoyable read for the reader. I bought a book. I want to highlight and bookmark the parts that are important to me. The owner said it's a security thing and if he locks it, then that's it, no kind of editing can be done. I don't consider highlighting and bookmarking an edit since the original item will not be changed. You have taken away from my enjoyment of reading by putting highlights and bookmarks in a locked category. Allowing this is not a security issue and should be changed in an updated. I'm sorry people steal stuff and make you spend money on locking the books so extreme that you take all the joy out of reading electronic books instead of making my enjoyment the same as if I was reading a paperback. So if the author is wrong and you do have a way of doing it, let me know so I can teach him. But I know this had to be allowed in the past since I know I have bought other books many years ago and highlighting was allowed, so, please bring it back.

7. Change format of Highlight Current Bookmark feature

   The "Highlight Current Bookmark" option currently makes the outline of the bookmark icon a little darker or bolder, but I can barely tell the difference to see which is highlighted. Could the "highlighting" be changed somehow to make it stand out a little more? Maybe the fill color for icon of the current bookmark could be a different color or darker shade.

9. Zoom and Scroll while using connected lines comment tool

   Please enable zooming and scrolling while using commenting tools like the "connected lines" tool. I often have to trace lines on a schematic and it is REALLY difficult to do without being able to zoom or scroll using control / shift plus the mouse wheel.

   Really this should be enabled when using any commenting tool but it's especially problematic with the connected lines tool.

10. Output preview - problems with page rendering

    Hi,
    this problem belongs to the prepress category.

    Acrobat DC is slow when scrolling through pages with Output Preview turned on.

    In addition, the pages flicker, which is very distracting to the eyes. And when you turn on double-page view, this problem is even more noticeable. If you need to check separations, you simply have to use Output Preview.

    The pages also flash when switching individual separations.

    I don't understand that no one at Adobe has noticed such a bug.

    This bug has been in all versions of Acrobat DC on PC and Mac since the early days of DC.

11. Remove tools sidebar selector, or make it an option, or an option to move it to the top or the bottom

    The tool sidebar is too close to the scroll bar, and make it difficult to use and select the scroll bar, which is almost always used. Make the position and/or the visibility of the tools sidebar a preference, since this redundant control is available using many other existing ways. This is the must frustrating, duplicative, and unusually located user control I have seen in many years.

12. drag speed in Thumbnail view is too fast to be able to stop where I want to

    In the thumbnail pane on the right side of the window (circled in yellow in attached screenshot), when I drag a page past the top or bottom of the pane, the pages scroll too quickly for me to easily stop where I want to drop the page. I suggest the scrolling speed start slow, then gradually increase in speed as the user drags past more pages. If the user changes the direction of the drag (up or down), the scrolling speed should again start slow, then increase.

    As an improvement on that, allow the user to set a Preference about scroll speed while dragging.

    I'm using Acrobat Pro, continuous release, version 2023.003.20244, 64-bit.

13. Ditch the 2023 User Interface in Acrobat

    There are so many shortcomings and problems with the new 2023 GUI interface. Here are just a few:

    1. Swapping left and right-hand panels for no reason. This does not improve anything for users. It just forces users to change everything about how they work in Acrobat every workday.

    2. Functions are indicated by random icons. In the 90s, we learned that icons in software and websites don't work across different populations. Users have a difficult time figuring out what the heck they mean. Give text labels.

    3. The left panel is permanently positioned on the screen and obscures part of the document below. Seriously Adobe, WTF.

    4. The entire menu/panel system can't be customized, moved, or docked. Another WTF.

    5. Hamburger menus (those obscure 3 horizontal lines) are used on mobile interfaces to collapse menus. They are totally unnecessary and inappropriate on desktop interfaces — where working people spend most of their time working. Give people real menus with real names. "Menu" is not accurate, either. What is the name of the other menu to the right? Menu 2? Cheeseburger Menu?

    6. The new interface is inaccessible for those with disabilities who use assistive technologies, especially screen reader users. Adobe has seriously violated its VPAT with governments and corporations worldwide who are required by law to provide accessible work environments and tools.

    7. Grey on Grey is not an accessible color scheme. Can't tell if some icons are active or disabled. Those with low vision can't discern the icons.

    8. Digital signatures, Document Cloud (where Adobe stores your files by default), subscriptions, OCR, file creation, file combining, and accessibility all have reported major problems for the past few years...but rather than fix these critical problems, money was instead spent on rearranging the deck chairs on the sinking Titanic.

    As long-time PDF consultants, my firm has found that the majority of customers are professionals who use Acrobat for their jobs. These are not "casual" users working on their smartphones. They are using desktops/laptops with full screens, not mobile devices to do their jobs. And they work with PDFs a lot.

    They have developed actions and scripts to automate processes on dozens, hundreds, and even thousands of PDF files every day. These industries include print, prepress, graphic design, accessibility & remediation, accessible forms, variable forms, variable printing, data validation, financial institutions (think of all those bank statements every month!), health care, investment and finance, and manufacturing.

    Dramatic GUI changes like 2023's completely change how these automated processes work...if they still work at all.

    The cost to these industries to correct the now-broken processes — brought on by Adobe's whimsical, untested design idea — is appalling. If I was a major corporation hit by this unnecessary expense, I'd ban Adobe products from my company and look for another PDF vendor.

    Calling this Acrobat's "Modern Viewer" is a form of gaslighting Adobe customers. It's not modern at all — 30 years ago, using icons failed in software and web interfaces, and it's failing again with Acrobat 2023. Sometimes retro isn't good, especially retro user interfaces. Please don't attempt to bring back disco, old-fashioned 20 inch TVs, polyester suits, rotary phones and VHS tapes as being "Modern," too.

    Ditch this "Modern Viewer" and instead give us a working tool to get our jobs done.

    1. Revert the interface back to what it was.

    2. Fix Acrobat's bugs. There are so many!

    3. And improve the accessibility for those with disabilities (who can't get to the Comments panel, Bookmarks panel, understand what and how much is redacted, make edits or change the content, scale/enlarge the interface, nor sign a PDF).

    For those still reading this, users can revert to the old interface for now (August 2023).

    I have no idea who long Adobe is going to let us revert to the "real" interface.

14. AI Assistant (beta) button

    Please give an option to EASILY get rid of the AI Assistant (beta) feature. Ever since installing the latest update, my Acrobat Pro runs SUPER slowly. I don't actually need AI to read documents. I do need Acrobat to be able to scroll without freezing constantly. Otherwise, what's the point of paying for Acrobat when there are tools that scroll perfectly fine for free?

    The new UI is fine otherwise, but I had to disable it (View > Disable new Acrobat) just so I could scroll through documents without Acrobat freezing constantly since you added that AI Assistant feature.

17. Make "Organize Pages" better

    In "Orgamize Pages", the functionality is horrible. Bookmarks don't work (they won't go to their point page and cannot be set)! Search doesn't work either (you have to exit to full view to find terms)!
    
    I want to be able to see my searched term highlighted within the Organize Pages view AND I want to see a list with previews of searched-term with surrounding words AND I want to set and use bookmarks while having a birds-eye-view of the doc.
    Nothing else works when in Organize Pages and the view is practically UNUSABLE. There is a TON of blank space between and around the page images - this reduces visilibilty of the images and does not add an value - it's not like that space is needed for menus or tools (since there is no functionality in this view).

19. Acrobat combine pdf files with microsoft purview enabled will loose there document title

    When you combine pdf files that have Microsoft purview labeling with encryption enabled they loose there original file name in the bookmarks of the combined files name of all documents become MicrosoftIRMServices Protected PDF.pdf

    if you open a single Microsoft purview encryption enabled file then you will see the original title of the document.

    request to fix the naming of the combined documents

20. Logic Error in the Design of Setting Up Bookmark (or Link) to the Lower Half of Any Page in a PDF File

    With setting the view of PDF file as fit to window, any 2 consecutive pages are displayed at consuming around 50% of the screen. whenever we user create any bookmark at the lower part of the first of these 2 consecutive pages. For example, p.100 and p.101 are showing simultaneously, i.e. bottom part of p.100 is showing at the top 50% of the computer screen. However, the page no, showing in the menu bar had became p.101, i.e. any bookmarks to be set at this bottom part of p.100 do not connected correctly. Please refer to the attached video for details.
