  1. Can you please help remove the Navigation Pane by default after creating pdf file on more than 2 pages documents? I had been using adobe to print/create my excel file, and each time print out 2 or more pages, and the Navigation Pane with the Bookmarks keeps pop up, which I have to close in order to read the main document, thank you.

  2. All I need to do when reading a pdf is turn it from the two page 'standard' to a single page scrolling. This gets the file to the right size so that I can read it.
This used to be on the top bar, View, and select the option. I can't find where you have hidden it, and neither the help nor the search tools brings it up as an option. Why have you made it so hard to do a basic operation that should be standard?

  3. Sadly , there is no way to trigger the Custom Action Items created in Acrobat DC Conditionally:
    Examples:
    1. If the Page number is > 5 then RUN Action item else Skip.
    2. If the bookmarks are available/unavailable then RUN Action item 'x' else RUN Action item 'y'.
    3. If the Page orientation is A3 then Skip Action item.

    It gets harder because:
Even with Custom commands it is not possible to Call/RUN an already saved Action Item.
    Example:
    if (this.numPages > 5) -> Call/Run a Action Item "eX;Set open Options" -> Then Save the file.

    You can't do it,…

  4. Every time that I go to print a document, the bookmark screen is open. I want to disable it so that if I want to bookmark, I can, but not to have to close it every time that I go to print...it is tedious and a distraction...

  5. Here are the desired answers to your 5 points for reporting a BUG
    1. Problems zooming and panning a PDF
    2. When opening several PDFs, zooming or scrolling in PDFs cannot be used because the program hangs and only responds again after a long time.
    3. Problem on a Windows 10 PC and a Windows 11 PC (Both i7 - one 10.gen, one 11.gen - both at least 16GB DDR4)
    4. Normal zooming with slight delays
    5. hang up and no reaction for more than 30 seconds

  6. After the latest update to 11.0.20 of Acrobat XI, the user interface has changed and everything is huge. The print screen requires scrolling to find the rest of the settings and buttons. Worked just fine before I updated. Currently using Windows 10 on a Lenovo X1 Carbon. I've tried changing the scaling from 150% to 100% and it didn't do anything other than make everything but Adobe so small I couldn't read them. Extremely annoying and if I can figure out a way to undo the update, I will. See attached screen shots.

    Hi,
Thanks for connecting with us. I have share the request with the management and we do not plan to implement it right now. We have kept it in our radar and will provide the support in near future.

    Thanks
    Rachit

  8. It would be great to be able to create href links in my source tool so that when PDFs are generated (by MadCap Flare, for example) and placed in a Portfolio they can link to specific bookmarks across PDFs. I know that links can be created across PDFs once they are in Portfolio but, if there a lot of links, they have to be re-created every time a change is made to the documentation.

  9. In Adobe Reader you can: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/disable-right-hand-pane-in-acrobat-reader.html

In Acrobat Pro this option is not available. Atm i work with dozens of pdfs wich i open multiple times and i have to close the Bookmark pane every time.

I tried lot of solutions (even edit registry key) and tried to install adobe rader but it says "...already installed" and opens Acrobat Pro :'(

  11. Whoever made the tools sidebar THIS convoluted to operate is ********. Yes, he is allowed to take it personal. Fire that guy. Give us a Default toggle for the sidebar tools, not this half-assed "remember state of" toggle that is buried in the corner.

    1. Comment markups randomly disappear from the screen, sometimes when zooming in and out, sometimes when scrolling. Sometimes they all disappear, sometimes just part of a page. Zooming or scrolling does not fix the problem. They will not draw correctly until I hide Acrobat, then making it the active application again, sometimes I have to quit the application and restart to solve the problem.
    2. Acrobat Pro DC 2019, Mac

I need to use a split screen, half InDesign, half Acrobat, when I'm running corrections. That does not leave real estate for the giant comment sidebar in Acrobat, so I need…

  12. Bug! Cannot resize Acrobat DC Pro Javascript debugger window.

All content used to fit inside window.

Now on a 2560x1440 32" monitor, I can only see the script list, and part of the script window, but not the script and console window without scrolling... alot.

No, the bottom right corner drag does not resize the contents... only the window which makes the problem worse.

  13. Last week's update was the worst of all (apart from the one to upgrade to the DC version). We work on macOS Ventura, Acrobat version 2023.006.20320. There's no scroll bar, you can't see your selections when you zoom in, it's like working blind. Pitstop tools are unusable. You have to cancel this update, go back. It's as if you don't care about the people who work with your applications, without taking their opinions into account. You never respond to feedback. Please cancel the last update!!!!

  15. The "new acrobat" doesn't seem to allow customizing the toolbar with toolbar buttons. Only "commands" can be added, not interface buttons such as Two-Page View, Single-Page Scrolling, etc. This is a major deficiency!

  16. Let's say we have a document 40 pages long. The usefulness of all 40 pages vary because of end-user knowledge.
    As such,
Master users will preferably only read 5 out of those 40 pages.
    Experienced will read 15 pages
    Intermediates 30 pages
    First time users 40 pages.

Now this already is possible with a plug-in, but I fail to understand why Adobe don't see plug-ins as a clear sign that users want / need the functionality.

Ok, what would be great is being able to script a user end button that calls the sort bookmarks function. The PDF would already…

  17. MacBook Pro: Chip Apple M1 Pro, Memory 16 GB, MacOS Ventura 13.0.1 Acrobat has a particular performance drop when using the form boxes. At my work we are provided with a PDF file with fill boxes we need to use to write our weekly plans. On my Windows based computer everything runs as expected but when working from my MacBook Pro there is a serious performance degrading glitch. Whenever I select on a box to write in, I notice the entire PDF file lags and has difficulty scrolling or registering actions easily. Severely slowing my workflow. Only when I click…

  18. Bug Report - Can't scroll to next page while in "Fill & Sign"

It seems like the only way to move to the next page while using "Fill & Sign" is by clicking on the next page arrow at the bottom. This is too cumbersome, especially when you need move between pages to review the information while you are signing or adding initials to every page. It's MUCH easier to just scroll down, please change this so you are able to just scroll.
