  1. When the highlight text tool is being used, i can't highlight continuous texts in different pages, I think that adobe should make this possible, is more intuitive.

On the other hand, i can simply select the text whitout the highlight tool selected and with the pop up setting i can then highlight the text, but if I erase the highlihted text on one page, the highlighted text in the other page will remain highlighted

  2. I don't know how Acrobat has not allowed for a Text-To-Speech option of SELECTED text only yet. It's an amazing tool for people with disabilities... especially those who need text read to them.

It is extremely frustrating having to listen to the text of a document from the begining if you only need the last paragraph read allowed. Extremely disappointed Adobe hasn't stepped up their game.

    Hi,
We understand your problem here. We are continuously working in making a better experience for our customer.
We have kept it in our radar and will implement in the near future.

    Thanks

  3. The frame that pops up when editing forms (at the right) is a fixed width. Which means, if you have long field names, you have to scroll horizontally back and forth to review and edit.

Would be great if this frame was made adjustable!

  4. Editing Form Fields.

In previous versions of Adobe Pro 9, 10 & 11 it was possible to edit Form Fields 1 page at a time by:

    selecting and highlighting 1 field,
then right click to Select All,
then successfully edit all fields on just that 1 page
    Then save.

This does not work in Adobe DC. When same steps are followed Adobe selects EVERY field in Form on EVERY page (very slowly). When Field Properties are edited Program then freezes each time you try to save.

Please Adobe RESTORE same 1 page Form Field editing to…

I have forwarded your request to engineering. It will be picked up after prioritization. We will contact you if we need some more information on this.
    Thank you for your patience

  5. The hefty subscription price for Adobe Acrobat Pro DC is very soon realized when you discover how many hours you have to spend (and the money lost in that time) to redo text labels because that persistently group together in awkward ways and are of no help when trying to align form objects. How do you provide the ability to align and spread properly for text fields, but not text labels? This is old tech that is just slapped onto newer products. But who cares...

  6. A shortcut – ideally a keyboard shortcut – for 'Add Note to Text' would be very helpful for the editors and proofreaders among us. To select the text, right-click and find 'Add Note to Text' is cumbersome when you're using that particular feature more than any other (the Sticky Note is much maligned by designers and reviewers alike for not being specific enough to the text to which it relates).

It would also make lots more sense in the context of the comment-as-you-type functionality for inserting or deleting text, etc. Surely it would be logical…

  7. testing the fillable fields in my PDF form. Tabbing to the next field is no longer working? Why?
Instead of tabbing to the next field, I am getting the comments function popping up, with a marker in a random location on the page. Why?
If this happens to me, what is this going to do for someone who is filling in the form?

  8. Older versions (prior to text recognition) allowed you to type onto a pdf and edit it later without any interference. The new DC software while still allowing you to type and edit more than often enough recognizes the original text of the document making it editable and causing tons of interference with the user entered text. There should be a feature which locks text recognition and doesnt allow the editing tool to recognize the base document script which will allow for easy editing if you have to save and come back to a document and make changes.

  10. In the old version of Adobe Acrobat, when you were in the process of preparing/editing a form, you could "Preview" the form. It was very useful because you could go back and forth between changing the modifiable fields and seeing the document as someone else would see it. This feature is no longer available. Now, you have to exit the form section to preview and then go back into the form section to edit again, which is such a headache.

  11. Previously, when adding text, you could click anywhere and add the text. Now, with the "improved" adobe, when you select add text, it shows all text fields so if you need to add text within a paragraph (like when adding details to blank lines in contracts) you have to add to the side and drag and drop. It has more then doubled the amount of time I take to do my contracts and waivers now.

Just revert back to when adding text you can just click to type anywhere and its not showing every single text

  12. When editing a text box the text does not provide a preview of what it will look like at a certain width with the text wrap. This is a feature Bluebeam has that makes it quick and easy to see how the text box will appear as you adjust the size, saving time.

  13. I am trying to combine multiple template PDFs that have fillable fields. These fillable fields have unique information in each PDF document. Since this is a template document, the fillable fields are the same name. When combining the PDFs, the data from page 2 onwards gets overwritten by the data that was entered in the first document. Refer to case # ADB-29950592-T4D3. Customers should be able to combine PDF forms that have identical field names in the forms.
Also, customers should be able to "Request e-signatures" with Adobe Portfolio files.

  14. Adobe Sign should allow you to reassign multiple fields at once. As it is now, it automatically imports fields on a form assigned to "Anyone". In order to reassign the fields to a specific person or to "Prefill" before sending, you must go field by field and change each one. Being able to reassign en masse would be a huge time saver. Also, other options like marking fields as required en masse would help as well.

  15. Would you disable, or at least provide an option to disable, a popup when highlighting a text? This is very annoying because this occludes text I am currently reviewing. Please do not interfere with the user's intended task. It is up to the users who will decide what to do with the highlighted text - after reviewing it thoroughly. Blocking it with the pop up interferes the work process.

  17. I am using files save in .pdf form. When I use Acrobat DC to edit, I frequently get text that becomes crushed, as attached. Possibly to unusual names or words. If I cut and retype the section. I get character on character!

Please explain. How do I correct, please

  18. Can you please include the Insert Text Comment feature in the shared review? This feature is available in Acrobat Reader and in the not-shared COMMENT review toolbar. As a basic comment tool, I am quite surprised (and very frustrated) that this is not available for collaborative commenting.

Specifically referring to "Insert Text" as described here: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/mark-text-edits.html#insert_text

  19. Please make it easier to move text. I have spent hours (and am developing RSI) trying to move text that I have moved before - it takes dozens/hundreds of clicks to get the box around the text to show sufficiently to grab it and move it. I spent the $$ for AA Pro DC, so thought such a basic thing would have been fixed .... Please let me know when it is fixed so that I can edit my document without wasting any more time - I have a week or so before it goes to the printers ...…

  20. I would be extremely helpful to have "dynamic" (for lack of a better term) paragraph fields, that do one or both of the following:

    1. The field expands as the person filling out the form enters text that extends beyond the pre-set dimensions

    and/or

    1. Automatically reduces the font size to fit the field if the person filling out the form enters text that threatens to extend beyond the pre-set dimensions of the field.

If this feature exists and I am missing something, please feel free to comment and let me know!

    Thanks!
