DISABLE DOWNLOAD
For the european GPDR rules it would be greate when sending a file with Send and track to disable the download option. So receivers can only view the file from the Adobe cloud but they cannot download it.

I'm using Acrobat Pro DC printing on HP OfficeJet Pro 8710. It prints 2-sided on the Short-Edge binding even if Long-Edge is selected.
Suddenly within the last few days, if I print from my Acrobat Pro DC to my HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 printer, it only prints two-sided PDF documents on the Short-Edge binding even if Long-Edge binding 2-sided printing mode was selected. Was there a recent s/w update with bug that's causing this phenomenon? I use 2-sided printing quite a bit and this is really a huge problem for me!

Default Save As
DUPLICATE SUBMISSION WITH ATTACHMENT EXAMPLES
The Acrobat Reader DC basic version has a very helpful "Save as" function where it brings up a user friendly window with 4-5 recently used folders, as well as the option to then browse further for another folder if needed. the Adobe Acrobat DC PRO version has a very different, very limited "save as" usability, where it defaults to a temp internet folder (that i cannot even find), which i will almost certainly never use as well. As far as i can tell there is no way to set a different default save as location (like a folder with links to those recently used folders as a work around), nor does it allow the user to select a folder from a recently used list to save into, we currently need to manually navigate from the temp folder to the actual required save location, and when processing large numbers of PDF those 5-6, or more, extra clicks really add up and make it a not so user friendly product. I almost want to forfeit the PRO version, and revert to the basic version so i can process these documents easier.DUPLICATE SUBMISSION WITH ATTACHMENT EXAMPLES

1) Open Acrobat → Edit → Preferences → General

The New Acrobat
As an architect reviewing submittal data from manufacturers, I have several review stamps and notation box functions on an older Acrobat version. Lines, arrows, text box, Ctrl+E for text and font, notation box with arrow, and a full library of business stamps and custom stamps are in my world. How do I set up this Acrobat DC Pro to accept these functions?

crashing on share or e-mail; can't access contacts
The software is so incredibly buggy - any attempt to share makes the software crash. Cannot share files saved in document cloud or elsewhere, share via e-mail (with outlook Mac) causes crash, share via document cloud causes crash, attempts to access address book to share via native adobe app causes crash. Why can't I just drag files stored in the document cloud into an e-mail or message - this is the easiest way to share. Share/collaboration is literally unusable in acrobat DC - WHY?! Our entire team may have to move away from the entire Adobe platform if this is not resolved. All of our software and our OSX is FULLY updated.

Adobe is losing money
Adobe gives you a trail key witch you can change every 7 day so you can get free Adobe forever. You don't need to be a pro programmer to do this and you don't need a third party programs to get free trail for ever. And it updates so its not like other cracked versions you can download for Pirate Bay or sites like that. In my opinion you should have only 1 key that is supported by the program for trail version of the program. And for bought products you should have some like encrypted keys so people don't copy from one another. Also an IP verification to log in the bough programs should be used so people don't use others keys. The program which you have trail for should self destruct after 7 day. I hope you will look in to this and try to solve the problem.

Add fill behind header/footer.
It would be helpful if it was possible to automatically add a fill color behind the header/footer in order to be able to see the header text. It isn't always beneficial to have to shrink the document in order to get white space to see the header text.

Bug Report - Adobe Acrobat 2017 - Version 2017.011.30142
Upgrade version 2017.011.30142 from (old version) 2017.011.30138 caused issues with Protected View.
Error: Adobe freezes when clicking "Enable all features".
OS: Windows 10 X64 1803
- Only occurs with fillable PDFs
- Definitely isolated the issue to the upgrade on 4 computers. Older version works perfectly.1 vote -
Excel Export select fixed length columns
Export to Excel as a fixed width? Or even to text as fixed width. Will assist with merging columns during export.

Erase Inside/Outside Selected Area
In addition to just an eraser, I have found it very useful to select an area and either erase inside or outside the area. I use this a lot in Nuance's Paperport. I too work with old documents and newspapers. Erase outside comes in handy to clean up staples, tears, smudges, etc. on the borders. Erase inside comes in handy to clean up sections of a document or unwanted newspaper articles near the desired article.

I have a defective PDF (downloaded).
I got a garbage Word docx back from export (attached). When I paste a copied line into MS Word the font is 1 point. But it prints OK.
Is there a way to detect the problem and repair it?1 vote -
Hide 128-bit RC4 from pick lists
With FIPS mode disabled, users have three selections of encryption levels:
* Acrobat 6.0 and later compatibility (128-bit RC4)
* Acrobat 7.0 and later compatibility (128-bit AES)
* Acrobat X and later compatibility (256-bit AES)There is concern amongst our security community that 128-bit RC4 is not a very strong encryption method. We would like to be able to prevent users from choosing this option. It would be helpful if there were a security policy or registry setting that would allow us to hide this encryption selection from all menus.

Restore "Detect Fields" on-the-fly option for Create Form
(Acrobat Pro DC)
Suggestion: Add an on-the-fly "Form Field Detection?" checkbox above/underneath the "Requires Signatures" checkbox.
In previous versions of Acrobat Pro, on clicking Create Form, there was an on-the-fly option to "Detect Form Fields? Yes/No."
In DC, this option is changed into a default setting that always applies.
Accessing it first requires reading the fine print (which I missed the first three times); clicking the link to the correct section of Preferences, finding the correct setting, and then checking the box. In total, 3 clicks to change a hidden setting.
While I think it is a good idea to allow users to set their default preference, I should be able to do a temporary override. If there is such an option, it is not obvious.
My work requires I do this both ways, so I am now changing my Preferences on an hourly basis.
Suggestion: Add an on-the-fly "Form Field Detection?" checkbox above/underneath the "Requires Signatures" checkbox. Keep the Preferences option and have that affect the default behavior.
