  2. I hate the newest version of the PDF Reader since it has been updated because the visibility of valid information on the screen is reduced. I often need to open PDF and excel comparison data at the same time, but the effective area of the PDF reading interface is reduced (the white space on both sides is increased, and the toolbar cannot be locked on the top!)

  3. Nothing should be mandatory in terms of floating elements, and users should be allowed to customize placement of buttons on every toolbar including floating toolbars, and customize whether to display them always/as set by document, with traditional arrangements always available as default options.

  4. Start Dialog / German user interface
Wrong translation of "Open" when selecting multiple files in the Start dialog.
    Is "Open". Should be "Öffnen".

  5. I feel very upset about the new interface. It's confusing and very hard to find tools, or some are missing, or some are misplaced. Not user friendly in any level. Completely hate it. Just want the old version back. Add a button upfront to switch back that actually will not switch back the next time a new file is open.

  7. Return to the previous version's interface. Reduce the additional steps added in new version and eliminate the over-complification of simple procedures. I just spent an hour trying to number my pages. I found the functions only after looking up on Google and searching for 20 minutes. But the windows themselves were absolutely NOT intuitive. I had to contact an agent. The first agent I got disconnected from. Bates numbering was made to appear as the only option, but the agent showed me how to find the plain numbers under header and footer on the edit toolbar. But via the…

  8. The new install of Adobe DC is terrible. There was no reason to change the user interface and make the program so MAC Like.

The changes to the interface are causing our agency to incur tremendous down time and loss of productivity. Nothing about the new user interface is intuitive or helpful!

Is there any way to reinitiate the older menu driven interface? We can not even utilize the certificate signing that was used regularly with the previous version of Adobe Acrobat.

  10. When asking field properties on Mac French version :
The text in the bottom of the windows appears in a wrong position.
You need to do a screen copy, then, with Aperture or other, you need to do a vertical switch to see correctly the text.

  11. In the Home tab there should be the following main tools listed:
    - Open (Document)
    - Create PDF
    - Combine files

Those are what we use the most.

My Home is showing Organize Pages, Fill & Sign, and Protect.I don't use those.

Or, you can add the tools bar to the Home so I don't have to switch to the tools tab.

  13. I do tutorials and online courses, about accessibility among other things.
I noted that the new interface has really confusing UX in Swedish.

Very confusing terms have been chosen, compared to the old interface, and this causes real problems for learners.

Also, the texts are inconsistent - please look att my pic in the enclosed file.

I really hope to get an answer within short !

  14. Presets for settings, and a customized page would be very helpful. Let users be able to have their preferences to adobe start up every time they open adobe. I know that it remembers, while the app is on. But every day I have to click combine open files, list view, and printer options.

  15. I am capturing cover images from scanned pdf documents in Acrobat Pro desktop. I have the new interface, and this problem is not something I experienced with the old interface. Also, these were documents that I did not create, so I don't know if it's trying to revert to a previous page setting. The problem is that the cover page (page 1) skews whenever I use organize pages. It doesn't happen with files consistently, which is why I suspect it may be trying to revert to a previous page setting for these documents.
    I have attached a file…

  16. I am so SICK of the brain dead idea that we need to have our names plastered all over everything in our user interfaces in case we forget who we are or, as somebody with an oversized paycheck and an undersized amount of common sense might put it, "to personalise the user experience".

What it REALLY does is compromise our privacy. Constantly. We've working on a scree at lunch time or on a train? There's our name, for anyone to see. We take a screenshot? There's our name. It serves NO copnstructive purpose and it is ANNOYING.

    Yet there…

    Implemented  ·  Bilal Ansari responded

With the latest release, we have added a checkbox that will turn off the automatic OCR.

    1. Open any scanned pdf.
    2. Go to Edit PDF.
    3. Wait for OCR to complete.
    4. On the right hand pane, uncheck the “Recognize text” option. (Alternatively, if you see a button ‘Revert to Image’, click on it).

This will turn off the auto-OCR feature. Now, Acrobat will not run OCR automatically. Acrobat remembers this setting so that you do not have to uncheck it again.

Let us know if this helps.

  19. It's really inconvenient to have the EXIT PREVIEW button on the exact opposite corner of the screen from where you first click to go into the Preview mode. It's a waste of time and energy to have to move the cursor all the way across the screen when you're going in and out of Preview mode all the time.
