2. Clumsy control of tools display

   The placement and removal of tool symbols on the display on the top of the page is hard to control and unnecessarily complicated. It is clear how to add tools to the display by selecting the upward arrow, but why can't I remove tools in a similar manner? Why are the 'custom quick tools' hidden behind two other menu items? Ideally, one should be able to replace the displayed items by dragging their symbols on and off the display bar. There is a huge advantage of convenience when the tool is pinned to the top display bar versus having to find them in a hidden menu. Since its creation, PDF editing has been like that - clumsy, NOT user friendly. It's high time to shape up, Adobe!

3. Turning Off Tab view breaks puggin Tools

   Tabbed View by default isn't suitable as documents are often compared visually & make better use of multiple screen space. However Turning Off Tabbed view now breaks (hides) 3rd Party Plugin tools (namely Enfocus Pitstop Pro).
   Because a restart is required to re-enable Tabbed viewing, that causes loss of changes, or having to save/discard multiple changes potentially on multiple documents.
   & Because I'm here.... NOT A SINGLE Feature added to Acrobat DC has been an improvement.

4. 'All Tools' missing

   Since the last update (Installed Acrobat Version: 25.1.20643.0
   Creation Date: 2025/08/22
   Creation Time: 21:27:42
   )
   The 'All Tools' side panel doesn't show all tools anymore, see attached.

   Please fix, it slows down the productivity dramatically.

   My user satisfaction drops continuesly with every update, and if it doesn't get better for such an expensive tool.

   I will switch to alternatives, that meanwhile offer a more lean version, for a better price.

6. Straight line with highlighter and drawing tools

   Make straight lines with the highlight text tool and drawing tools by holding shift, just like holding shift with the draw line tool. PLEASE.
   Maybe also give the highlighter the clickable option to choose between freehand highlight, straight line highlight, and recognizable text; and lock the option preference until we manually change it.

7. Undesired and annoying e-sign pop-up reminder in tools sidebar. Please remove this pop-up.

   Every time when I use the tools sidebar I get an undesired and annoying pop-up reminding me to check out e-sign tools. I use e-signing occasionally and don't need to be reminded about e-sign tools. I pay premium price for a product and don't need unsolicited advertisement for e-sign tools. Please remove this pop-up from the product or inform me at least how I can do it.

8. Annoying we cannot hide side toobars

   It's super annoying we cannot hide the side bars. If I am editing two pdf's side by side they take up a LOT of space. This is a professional app. Also a very expensive all. Why don't we have complete and configurable key commands that we can use instead of giving up 30% of our screen space to toolbars?

9. Tools strip

   The latest update on Acrobat DC has a floating tool strip on the left that COVERS UP THE DOCUMENT I AM WORKING ON!!! How do I get rid of this blasted thing?!
   I hate this latest update so much! Switching things around etc. It's horrible!

10. Using the "Customize Quick Tools" is always very slow

    I use the mouse to scroll to find the tool is always very slow when using the "Customize Quick Tools" feature. My software version is Acrobat DC Pro 2019.012.20034, and the computer is Mac Pro 2013 ( macOS 10.14.5). My computer configuration is not low, using Acrobat and other software is not slow. Use of "Customize Quick Tools" function is always very slow, it takes a long time to add the required tools on the Toolbar.

11. Commenting tools in shared vs unshared PDF

    It would be great if the same commenting tools would be available in shared and unshared PDFs. Unshared PDFs additional commenting tools, such as "insert text at cursor" and "Add note to replace text", which make it much easier to implement changes once imported into InDesign.

12. Missing tools in Document cloud

    Working in Acrobat software is very much efficient and when we transpose the same approach in Document Cloud for multiple users, our clients faces many challenges in reviewing the document with limited commenting tools.

    The following are the some basic tools which are missing in Adobe Document Cloud:
    1. For replacing text
    2. For inserting text
    3. Add text box (similarly like given Acrobat software in commenting tool)

    Due to the current limitations in the Cloud platform, we have held our approach towards the Cloud platform and have been using the Acrobat software to gather comments from multiple users which consumes a lot more time now.

    Adobe Document Cloud could adapt the same commenting tool palette of the Acrobat software that will make it more useful for both offline and online approach.

13. Shortcut Keys for Opening Tools

    Please add shortcuts for high level tools like Edit PDF, Optimize PDF, Prepare Forms, etc. When working with a document that requires changing tools often, it's tedious to have to find the right icon and click on the side menu over and over. It would be great if something like Alt-O, etc. would open the Optimize PDF menu.

14. Revert to the previous version's commenting tools

    Things change - as does the UI - that is fine. Professionals working with Adobe Pro have adapted before. However, the changes have DOUBLED the amount of time it takes to mark up a PDF and as far as I can see there is no solution for this.

    • We are not longer able to highlight text, start typing and have text automatically replaced. We also have to select the tool, then implement the mark up.

    • We are not able to pick a spot in the text, start typing and have text automatically inserted. We also have to select the tool, then implement the mark up.

    • The above, coupled with the fact that a tool now remains active, makes a heavy mark-up a mammoth effort. Imagine inserting over 500 different comments as you proofread and each time having to select and deselect a tool.

    • With the commenting tools now "nested" under multiple menus, instead of just permanently all active, it adds to the amount of time it takes to find and select a tool.

    Above all, if this is truly what your research shows people want for commenting, at least give people the option to disable these functions. The changes you have made were clearly not suggested by any professional that actually uses them in their daily work. They are clunky, slow, not user-friendly and you have made them mandatory.

    I will definitely NOT be using the new Adobe Pro for this task and have reverted back. If it becomes enforced, I believe plenty of publishing professionals will be forced to consider other options.

15. Would like ability to add the Marquee zoom tool to my Quick tools.

    Would like ability to add the Marquee zoom tool to my Quick tools. This was lost when you switched to DC. It is not nearly as useful when I have to go through three clicks to get to it first.

    Again, these buttons seem to me that they belong on the main tool bar, instead of wasting tons of space on the 'customizable' quick access tool bar. Why are they there? i don't know.
    It seems to me, that adobe has a lot of programmers with ideas, but no adobe test users, to let them know, whether the idea is good or bad.

    Adobe: please don't rely on us, the general user, to give you feedback to do that job for you. We all have work to do, and want to get it done fairly quickly. We don't want to end up frustrated with new additions, that ended up being a bad idea. Thanks.

    'Tools' tab not functioning.
    When accessing directly from top bar, or from the last option on the right column, the tools tab is a blank screen. Not offering the options available, including to redact a document.

18. fill and sign tools on Quick Tool Bar

    Please add the option to put all the tools from fill & sign to the Quick Tools bar. Example the: add check mark, and add X, and add text, add dot, change color. I use most of these regularly as well as a few others and have to switch back and forth between Quick Tools bar and fill and sign.

19. preferences setting to turn off page headers in comments

    Those page number divisions in the comment pane are problematic. It is SO EASY when clicking into that pane to accidentally hide a whole set of comments and not notice. I have zero use for those dividers, and it woul be nice to be able to make them go away and not clutter up the comments pane.

20. Expandable (and/or pop-out) "FIELDS" Pane When Editing a Form

    It would be great to be able to grab and pull the left edge of the FIELDS pane over to the left to widen it. Some of the text field names can be very long and can look identical to others unless you can see the whole title. (I know you can hover over the title to see the full text but that only seems to work intermittently, and is time-consuming).
    Also, when scrolling up and down or when trying to grab and move titles to rearrange the tab order, it's easy to get confused and lose your place when there are dozens or hundreds of fields.
    Additionally, it would be great to be able to "pop out" this section entirely (so that you can expand the window as much as needed, both horizontally and vertically), as scrolling feels VERY restrictive when you need to rearrange the tab order of dozens of fields (fields sometimes get mixed up when exporting an InDesign file to a PDF form).
