Adobe Acrobat Pro DC issues: slow scrolling - failed saving - document not found. Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2019.010.20069 and previous ones on macOS has some issues, which have been around for ages. They are really frustrating:

  2. Can Adobe make a feature that allows you to insert and link PDF files (pages) into one PDF (Set) while maintaining the link back to the original file. So if the original file is updated so is the (Set) PDF in the same way images are Linked and updated in Indesign. Would be a massive help with 2D part drawings for creating a drawing set during revisions.

  4. Under the prepare form function, users should be allowed to create multiple radio buttons with a single function rather than creating one radio button at a time for each group. Say I have 100 questions and each question has 4 choices meaning it has 4 radio buttons, that is 400 radio buttons that i have to manually create. It is tedious and painful. There has to be a faster way to do this.

This should also provide an option whether the layout of the radio buttons is vertical or horizontal.

  7. I set up a simple action to crop files to some specific measurements. These are magazine pages, so all need the same crop. The action wizard manages about 10 files and then crashes. When it crashes it corrupts the file it was currently working on, so I have to generate that one again for the next attempt. As our magazine has up to 600 pages, this is a huge problem. It seems to happen every time I try. I am on a Mac running the latest Mojave version.

  8. I attempted to run the "Recognize Text In This File" command on a file with digital signatures and received a random "This operation is not permitted" error (see screenshot) which may in itself be a bug. But then I checked "Ignore future errors in this document" and hit OK, and received the same popup, with the "Ignore future errors" box checked, for each subsequent error in the document until it reached the last page. I thought this was strange.

  9. Drawboard PDF's single page view allows one to swipe through pages (like "flipping" pages in a book). I find this helps with retention as it breaks apart the text, delineated by page breaks. I've tried your single page vertical scrolling view, but I found it to be clunky. A few things that would probably make this better (for the horizontal swipe as well):

    1. Don't have the page "glued" to the screen, but put it on a rubber band -- so, as someone "drags" the page, you can see it react/ shift from the center/ default position. If the user just…

  10. When Internet is accessible Acrobat suspend for a long time at start up. After Acrobat's windows appear all seems Ok, but after 1-2 second Acrobat doesn't respond to mouse and keyboard and Windows say that program doesn't respond. Duration of this state is few minutes. If connection to Internet is unavailable (for example cable is unplugged) no any problem observed at start up and later. This is definitely bug related to unnecessarily access to the Internet which suspend main functionalities of Acrobat. Please fix as soon as possible.

  11. In Acrobat X a text annotation (created with the Typewriter tool) could easily be selected by merely clicking on it. In Acrobat Pro 2017 there seems to be no way to select it. This is a real show stopper for me since I often need to delete or copy/paste a group of selected line, text, and other annotations.

  13. Today Acrobat automatically updated when I opened a PDF. Now, every time I try to open another PDF, it starts the automatic update process again. How can I stop this?

It seems to me this is a bug.

    Thanks, A. F. Calhoun

  14. I'd love a way to tag reviewers in a comment—or in a reply to an existing comment—in a review PDF (hosted internally) that's set up for Shared Commenting, so that they may be notified via email of the comment in the document.

Some reviewers proof the document early, make a comment, and then never revisit the shared review PDF, so if someone replies to their comment, they do not see it. That has left the onus of communicating the missed replies and being a go-between on a single person in our organization.

  16. Hi all

(Mac Acrobat Pro - all up to date)

In the comments column the selected comment goes a slightly darker grey.

For me this still does not make this comment stand out enough.

Is there a way to change this to something more prevalent?

    Thanks in advance

    DC

  18. Not having a subtraction option in the Text Field Properties reduces the value of the calculate function. The current "workaround" of inputting a negative number to allow for addition is a poor alternative.

Need Info  ·  Megha Jain responded

    Hi Gary

You can either use a custom JavaScirpt calculation or the simplified field notation calculation, if your field names follow the required convention, with the “-” operator you will be able to perform subtraction.

However, we value your suggestion/ideas and we will have the engineering notified. Should we need more information inregard to this, we shall connect with you
    Thank you for your patience.

  19. What happened to the +/- zoom function? I need the ability to manually input the % of a zoom when comparing files; so that I am comparing "apples" to "apples" when it comes to the percentage size the the zooms. Why does it seem that every new version of Acrobat worse than the previous version?
