  1. In Windows, I have a top-level bookmark and, for example, 10 sub-level bookmarks. I want to Ctrl+click all the sub-level bookmarks in the left side panel and drag them so that they are at the top-level. If I do this in Adobe Acrobat, I can Ctrl+click to select all bookmarks, but then when I drag them, only the first two move. I can then select the other 8 and move all those at once. But I can't move all 10 from the start. This seems like a bug since it seems like you should be able to select…

  2. You have removed the access to bookmarks. If not removed you have made them too difficult to locate so we can create a Bookmark.

  3. When in Full Screen, the default setting is Single Page View. There is no way to change this in Full Screen. You can change it to, say, "Enable Scrolling" before entering full screen, but once you enter full screen it will revert back to the default. Please enable a way for the user to change the default Full Screen, Page View to their personal preferences in settings.

  4. Please add a global setting in Adobe Reader that prevents the Bookmarks Navigation Pane from automatically opening when a PDF is opened.
Currently, this behavior depends on individual document properties, which means users must manually close the pane every time or rely on inconsistent workarounds. This is disruptive for those who rarely use bookmarks.
A simple preference option (e.g., “Always hide Bookmarks pane on open”) would greatly improve usability and workflow efficiency.
Thank you for considering this enhancement.

  5. Simply put: The ability for users to choose the speed at which scrolling the mouse wheel scrolls the view of a document on Adobe Acrobat.

Changing the mouse settings on the actual OS instead of within Acrobat is not a solution, because Acrobat scrolls at a different default speed than other programs such as File Explorer or any browser. For me, scrolling the mouse wheel while viewing a document in Acrobat is way slower than in Chrome or anything else. For others, I'm seeing plenty of complaints that it's too fast on their devices.

Therefore: The ability to change Acrobat's…

  6. The scroll bar used to be on the left side next to Bookmarks.

Or have opt to move it to left side.

  7. I first generated my pdf with automated bookmarks.
I then added a few pages and gave them bookmarks manually.

When I try to edit these different bookmarks at the same time by selecting them both and right clicking to get the properties window, the program pops up the error message "Adobe has stopped working."

The only way to edit these different bookmarks is by not selecting the different types at the same time.

    OS: Windows 8.1 Enterprise

Expected result: I would like the properties window to open when different bookmark types are selected.

Observed result: The program throws an…

  8. After setting Single Page Continuous scrolling in three separate places, nothing changes. I can't get the page layout to update to anything different than single page, no matter what I do. Please offer a fix or a document that clearly states how to adjust the page view.

  9. The engineers for New Adobe forgot that people don't just use Adobe to create and manipulate documents -- the other half of the equation is that the documents are also going to be READ. This New Adobe puts the bookmarks on the right side of the page with no option to switch the view to how people actually read which is left to right. SO FRUSTRATING. I won't be able to use New Adobe ever if you leave it this way.

  10. In Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017 on macOS Big Sur it is no longer possible to create Bookmarks based on the current text selection. New Bookmarks always get the name "Untitled".

    See attached video.

  11. When I combine 2 or more PDF's with a specific file that file loses the first page. I added a blank page to compensate for this.

All files have bookmarks. Once combined I can use all the bookmarks except for the specific file. It appears as 1 bookmark. I cannot send you the file because it contains confidential information. Any suggestions? Thanks

  13. I use bookmarks to store documents similar to how they would be stored in a file cabinet. Occasionally, I need to move the pages withing the document which requires two stepsl, (1) move the pages; (2) move the bookmark. I suggest allowing pages to be associated with a bookmark. Once the association is made between pages and a bookmark, then when you move the bookmark to a new location, the pages would move with it. I would then extend this feature to allow bookmarks to be dragged and dropped between files.

  15. Please make the scrolling FASTER. I'm so use to reading PDFs on Chrome extension now that I'm use to the fast mouse wheel scroll for vertical scrolling. When I open in Acrobat, it's so painful how slow the vertical scroll is. I feel like I have to scroll twice as much with mouse scroll wheel as I do in any other program. Please, please change this.

Also, yes I have continuous page and enable scrolling on.

Thank you for the suggestion. We have notified our engineering for the same. We shall get in touch with you in case we need more information.

    Thank you for your patience

  16. In the regulatory field for medical devices or pharmaceuticals; we often have to create documents which refer to the many ISO regulations, etc. copying and pasting the bookmarks in their entirety, and in one go, would save these people a significant amount of time and be yet another reason why adobe should be considered over competitors

  17. I am a slow reader. The speed of automatic scrolling is too fast for me.
I want to be able to slow the speed down so that I can read to my audience in a video conference. This will allow me to use automatic scrolling like a teleprompter.

  18. When we have huge PDFs, we sometimes need to split the documents in multiple PDFs.

As splitting document with Adobe doesn’t work when you want to split based on specific page numbers, we intended to use extract pages. BUT with adobe, extracting pages does not carry over the bookmarks.

  19. You should be able to set defaults for zooming and scrolling preferences that would apply for all documents so that you do not have to repeatedly do so for every pdf document you open.
