1. Problem with Acrobat Pro starting from version 2025.001.21223

   After having automatically updated Acrobat Pro (64 bits) to version 2025.001.21223, all our computers have started to have the same issue: when the pages of some documents (with large scanned pictures inside them) are viewed in "iconised" mode, some of the icons take a long time to be fully shown and consume all the memory, blocking the computer.

   All our PCs are fully updated to the latest Windows 11 24H2 version, with at least 16 GB of RAM.

   I have installed a fresh copy of the Acrobat Pro, without changing any parameters in a new computer, and the problem appears as well.

   Until the day before, the same PDFs had no issues at all.

2. Cannot delete pages

   I try to delete pages multiple ways and cannot:

   From the Organize Pages feature, I select the pages that I want to delete and I click the delete icon. Acrobat responds that "One or more pages are in use and could not be deleted." Sometimes when I receive that message and close the Organize Pages feature, I see that the pages were deleted. But not always.

   From the main document, if I click the Delete Pages icon and enter the page numbers to delete, I get the same error. When the Delete Pages icon work, the feature is still problematic because it requires that you enter the page number -- sometimes this is the printed page number, other times it is the actual number in the document. It's never clear what to enter.

   This is like your flagship product and perhaps the most basic feature possible -- deleting pages --doesn't work.
   
   I'm left dumbfounded.

3. Combine fillable forms with identical field names in one pdf

   When merging two/more fillable forms that contain identical field names (e.g., 'Name' in two distinct form sections) into one document, the information from the first form automatically populates the corresponding fields across all forms. There should be an opt-out from this feature to prevent data duplication when the forms represent different information and still need to be combined in one document.

4. Cropping documents

   I went to crop a PDF to its printer marks and happily pressed the Crop tool in Edit mode. then selected the atre I wanted to crop, then had no idea how to apply the crop....nothing in the interface tells me I'm at the stage where I can now execute the crop. Everything is greyed out and only the Crop icon is available. I had to hit the Enter key to do it. Why is there no way to execute the crop, once the area is selected? Everything is done via the interface until the actual crucial part of the job is reached - to effect the crop, which I guessed at - and is an action I have to carry out on the keyboard - without clues...

5. Cannot insert multiple pages - inserted pages are duplicates of one page

   When I go to add multiple pages to my PDF, the same page is inserted multiple times, rather than the different pages I have selected.

6. Highlight enhnancement

   I regularly highlight documents with numerous colors based on a key. It would be helpful if the comment pane showed the color of the highlight in lieu of the generic grayed out highlight icon. It would make perusing large documents with significant highlights easier to peruse.

7. How to remove trash icon on Adobe Acrobat DC!!!

   I would like to remove the Trash Icon that comes up every time i select an edit on PDFs. This gets in the way of my edits and i accidentally end up deleting things. This must have been on the most recent update because i never use to have this.

8. No floating bars in Read Mode, please!!!

   Whenever I move a mouse while in Read Mode, a floating navigation bar gets displayed near the bottom of the page obstructing the text. There is no way to get rid of it. Yes, clicking the last icon in that bar makes it disappear, but it also causes leaving the Read Mode and displaying huge useless side bars.

10. Bug Report: Cannot select first page of a multi-page PDF as icon for a button

    This is a bug report for Acrobat Pro 2017.

    When creating a new form "button" with an icon appearance, it is not possible to select the first page of a multi-page PDF as the icon image.

    • Create a new button field
    • In the Properties dialog box for the button choose the Options tab
    • Choose "Icon only" from the layout dropdown list
    • Click the Choose Icon button and select a multi-page PDF
    • Try to select the first page of the PDF as the icon image.
    • Only the 2nd or later page can actually be selected (even though the first page will appear in the dialog box).

    This is a bug report for Acrobat Pro 2017.

13. Enable Adobe Pro 2020 perpetual to automatically select PDF icon for imbedded PDF documents in Microsoft Word

    It would be helpful to have Adobe Pro 2020 default to the PDF icon when inserting a PDF as an object and then displaying as an icon in Microsoft Word.

    It is possible to search for the icon and set it manually but it will always default back to C:\Windows\System32\ole32.dll, making the user have to manually set the icon every time.

14. error applying transforms

    This is a DC Pro subscription running on Win 7 Home Prem SP1 64-bit. Acrobat loses my login info about 75% of the time when I close the program and reopen, with or without restarting or logging out of my pc, annoying but workable. Sometimes the save icon on the toolbar is invisible. I wasn't able to get a screenshot, but the button is clickable and works despite not displaying, also annoying but workable. Then, mid-session, as seen in the attachment, all Adobe icons converted to placeholders. First, I attempted a repair, then an uninstall. Both attempts yield the same error, "Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid," as shown in the attachment. A quick search referenced MSI & transforms, but that is beyond my skill level. I haven't a clue what to do about this and would like to address it before other issues occur.

15. Stop entering Edit Text & Images mode while editing form fields from Prepare Form mode.

    In Adobe Acrobat Pro DC's Prepare Form mode, before one of the more recent updates, I could click and drag my mouse over 1 or more interactive PDF form fields to select/modify and move them as desired.

    When I wanted to click away/deselect them, the selected items would simply deselect no matter where I clicked (including existing text elements) and leave me in Prepare Form mode.

    Now, when I attempt to deselect interactive fields by clicking on any element, such as text, Adobe Acrobat Pro DC takes me to Edit Text & Images mode.

    If I want to click and drag my mouse over multiple form fields again, I now have to exit this mode before I can do so or press the cursor icon in the prepare form toolbar. If I don't perform this workaround, clicking and dragging selects multiple text/image elements instead of form fields.

    This change requires extra clicks and is ruining productivity when modifying interactive fields on PDF forms especailly frustrating when I have a huge workload.

    Can we have an option to turn entering Edit Text and Images mode off while in prepare form mode?

16. BUG: Edit PDF feature in Acrobat v23 is very difficult to use now

    I don't mind the new interface, but there are so many bugs in the latest Acrobat update that I'm not able to use the Edit PDF tool outside of very simple tasks. Here's some of the things I'm not able to do now,

    • I'm not able to select multiple objects, text boxes, etc. with the Shift key
    • I'm not able to select multiple items by dragging the mouse over several objects, text boxes, etc.
    • When I try to add text on top of an existing text box (like a line on a form), the new text box is now added inside of the existing one and then everything in the existing text box is moved around. So I have to create the new text box in a blank space and then move it. And then later after the new text box is moved over the existing text box, Acrobat seems to not understand what I've done and there will be missing letters or duplicate letters from that new text box.

    As I mentioned, there are other issues. These are just some of the more recent bugs I've seen. It's forcing me to completely recreate the document in word or excel and then make it into a new PDF. Please make updates to get back to the functionality from the previous Edit PDF version.

    I don't mind the new interface, but there are so many bugs in the latest Acrobat update that I'm not able to use the Edit PDF tool outside of very simple tasks. Here's some of the things I'm not able to do now,

17. Dynamic DPI Scaling for Adobe Acrobat Pro XI

    Windows 10 Pro, XPS 13 hi res laptop.

    My laptop screen is 3200 x1800, external monitors are 1920x1080. The program looks normal on my external monitors but doesn't adjust when I drag it to my laptop - icons and menus Teeny Tiny and unreadable. Other programs by most other vendors will detect the screen resolution and adjust.

    Sounds like a scaling fix has been implemented for Acrobat DC Continuous, Acrobat 2017, Acrobat Reader DC Continuous, and Acrobat Reader 2017.

    What about Acrobat Pro XI?

18. window will not open after clicking icon if app is already open

    (mac) Before some recent update (same one that lost the scroll bars... still missing btw...), if you closed the all acrobat windows/tabs, the app would still run, and to open the main window again you'd click on the icon.
    Now, clicking on the icon does nothing. You have to either go into the menu with the application active and choose something that is likely to bring up a window, or open a document, or quit the app and open it again. None of those options are very good.

19. Change format of Highlight Current Bookmark feature

    The "Highlight Current Bookmark" option currently makes the outline of the bookmark icon a little darker or bolder, but I can barely tell the difference to see which is highlighted. Could the "highlighting" be changed somehow to make it stand out a little more? Maybe the fill color for icon of the current bookmark could be a different color or darker shade.

20. PDF icon on the desktop shows white background

    The title and the attached picture show the problem. I use Windows 10 with 64-bit and Acorbat Pro. Everything is up to date. I have tried everything I could find on the www, but to no avail. Preview pane and everything else works fine, just the desktop icon looks ugly. Even if it is a cosmetic problem, I wonder why it worked with 32-bit and why it seems to work with Windows 11, at least on my wife's notebook.

    Maybe it's quite easy to fix by Adobe programmers. Would you please have a look at it.

    The title and the attached picture show the problem. I use Windows 10 with 64-bit and Acorbat Pro. Everything is up to date. I have tried everything I could find on the www, but to no avail. Preview pane and everything else works fine, just the desktop icon looks ugly. Even if it is a cosmetic problem, I wonder why it worked with 32-bit and why it seems to work with Windows 11, at least on my wife's notebook.
