  1. using the document cloud to convert the word doc to PDF, the page layout was messed up, there were blank pages in the pdf. Tables did not fit. It was not an exact copy of the word doc. However using the save as function on word gave the exact copy but of course without the hyperlinks

  2. Hi, I have been making PDFs from InDesign CC 2019 running on Mac OS High Sierra. When opening the PDFs in Acrobat Pro DC, it's creating broken links from text that does not look like a URL and where no links have been specified. I think it's the 'Create Links from URLs' feature in Acrobat preferences trying to be helpful but failing miserably. This seems to affect text that uses a colon : but I can't ask my client not to use colons in their copy just because Acrobat is incorrectly reading it as a URL. My client is asking…

    I am sorry for the inconvenience you are facing.
    Can you share with us the acrobat version and the operating system you are using
    Also some sample PDFs with which you are facing this issue.

  3. Suggestion:

    Give text fields optional labels.

    1.) Only small, medium, or large font size.

    2.) Placement of left, right, above or below text field.

    3.) Character limit of 25 (or something small).

    The most common work-around option is using read-only text fields, however that gets messing when viewing the form in "prepare form" mode.
    Keep it simple if necessary, but simpler label options for text fields are wanted.

  4. When copying anything from a pdf file to Microsoft Word or other text editors, the formatting is always messed up in many places, like double or missing spaces between words or missing line breaks.
    It would be much better if the formatting would be kept the same. This only happens when copying from a pdf, no other program/app does this on any other device.

  7. I was messing around with EssayBot because deadlines were stacking up, and I just wanted something to break the silence on a blank page. It does shoot out text fast, but my question is: can using something that quick and almost too easy actually hurt your ability to build your own voice in writing? I’m at UC Berkeley, and professors always talk about originality being more than grammar checks. Anyone here tried it long-term and noticed an effect, good or bad?

  8. It may be looking like a great idea to cover everything. However, it is pushy and waste of money to promote this way Acrobat editor and AI. It is a good multiplatform format to see the same, to print the same. Well, to sign what you see. It is waste of time and money to make irrelevant features. Your format is not about efiting. Your AI should't break experience with regular search and shouldn't be enoying. Just fire your marketing and requirement management. They waste money of investors

  9. Up until very recently, I could "edit" a pdf to change an address, and the formatting would not change. Now, when I highlight the incorrect address and paste a new one in, it makes my text align right and messes up the whole document. Then I have to reformat. It's very annoying. Yes, I realize that pdfs in general aren't files to edit, but this is necessary because they're generated by our website, and sometimes mistakes need corrected. Regeneration is not an option.

  10. BUG.

    If you open several documents in Acrobat Pro and close them all using X button in top right corner of the window (which closes all tabs at once), page position and bookmarks are not saved properly.
    Page position and bookmark position is applied according to document which was in an active tab when you closed the window.

    Example.
    Open doc1 at page 10. Open doc2 at page 20. Both are opened under different tabs in one Acrobat window.
    Close the window using X button. Prompt will asks if you want to close all tabs. Confirm and close.

  14. Sometimes the PDF editor doesn't have all the features I need, so I CONVERT to MS DOC and edit there, then SAVE AS back to PDF, but Adobe crashes when doing SAVE AS or printing MS Word DOCs to PDFs.
    I spent over ONE HOUR finding and Adobe files that needed to be Uninstalled to fix the problem, including over a dozen HIDDEN and BACKGROUND processes that were messing up my Windows registry.     As you will see in the attached screenshots, while they were combining 256 pages of a book into a single PDF, the continuous tone image of page 239 appeared on both page 238 and 239.   17. Acrobat freezes when you apply redactions to an excessively large number of images.

    In this example document, for some insane reason, the table lines are made up of individual 1x1 images. Acrobat will get to about 3/4 of the way through the progress bar and then stay there permanently. Finding the cause of this bug and a workaround took several hours of time and a lot of stress.

  18. I have scoured the web to see if I can find a solution to this, and so far have not found a viable solution. We need to create graphics in Illustrator, save them as high-res .png files and place them in Microsoft Word. Sometimes those Word files need to be submitted as .pdf files with all text and images searchable. When running the OCR in Acrobat, it is not consistent with recognizing text in all images.

  19. This is appalling. I had previously really enjoyed acrobat when testing it , however, the money hungry people back at corporate have changed that.

    I tried Acrobat Premium and found the cost to be far too high considering I can do the same thing and more for $12.00 per year on Goodnotes, but I gave it a try due to my previous positive experiences.   20. I work in a regulatory environment and searching PDFs is increasingly important to find information quickly. Many of the PDFs are large, in the order or 200 pages or more.

    In the current software, Adobe starts to look ahead after 2 or 3 characters are typed. This probably makes sense for a document that is say 10 pages long. But in a 200 page document it stalls the PC and messes up the search, for example if I'm searching for "thermometer" the PC gets stuck collecting all the words "the", "there", and anything else starting with "th" or "the".…
