2. Improve user information on Acrobat Pro DC Tools home page

   Only due to my extremely helpful customer service rep, Gurjeet Singh, do I now understand that all the tools on my Acrobat Pro tools page are included in my current subscription - even those that say "Add" rather than "Open." Before I bought the subscription - and was using/purchasing tools on a onesy-twosy basis, "Add" indicated "not purchased," it is very confusing (and misleading) to use the same word on the subscription interface page. My suggestion involves two-three minor changes. 1. At the top of the subscription tools user interface, add a short title line that clearly indicates that the subscription includes ALL these tools. 2. in the box below each tool, eliminate Add and use a different verb, e.g., Enable, Start, Activate, etc. 3. To the right of the tools with icons, over the list of tools in-use, add a title that reflects the new verb: eg, Enabled, Activated, etc.

   I suspect that I am far from alone in my misunderstanding of what's included vs. that "adding" other tools might require me to upgrade to a higher level of Acrobat Pro DC. Thanks.

3. Acrobat Pro DC used to convert XPS files from the properties menu, but the latest update gives an error message about "not supported". Why?

   The Windows 7 interface to Acrobat Pro DC used to work just great until the last upgrade. You could use the properties menu selections to combine PDF files or to convert other file types into PDF just fine. It worked with XML and image file types to build a PDF. The latest Acrobat Pro DC now wants you to use a drag-and-drop to combine PDF files and gives errors with file conversion for document types that used to be supported, like XML.

5. Printing in greyscale doesnt work

   Printing in grayscale (black and white) has not worked for many months now. If you want to print a document or graphic product, you can select “print in grayscale”, but this does nothing. You are therefore forced to activate black and white printing via the extended interface under Properties -> MyTab -> Select color -> Grayscale. I reported this bug to Adobe months ago, but so far nothing has happened. This bug also only occurs in the Pro version, which is a pity as you pay a lot of money for the products. Both at work and at home, this problem occurs on all computers with different configurations. All computers have been updated, the Acrobat version is also up-to-date and the installation has already been repaired or the program reinstalled. This additional work step delays the work in the long run and is totally annoying in everyday life.

15. [bug reports] Acrobat DC2021 OLE freezes when a large number of JSObject getPageNthWord functions are called

    In Acrobat OLE of DC2021, when I call a PDF with hundreds of pages with getPageNthWord function of JSObject, it stops at an unspecified page and word number.

    The arguments of this function specify the correct page and word number, and the code works fine in DC2017.

    The place to freeze is not the same every time, and the pattern is not fixed.

    I have the following questions about this issue:

    Is there a way for the calling program to fix this bug?

    It's working fine in DC2017, so I think it's a bug specific to DC2021, but is the manufacturer aware of this issue?

    End users are automatically upgraded to DC2021, but is there a way to revert to DC2017 or not upgrade to DC2021 until the issue is resolved?

17. Adobe Acrobat crashes when a network is connected but no Internet access exists

    If the Mac is connected to a WLAN hotspot, but has no internet access via this WLAN and I start Adobe Acrobat, the program crashes. The interface opens briefly and then Acrobat wants to log in with the account to check its license. Either the program terminates itself or the Mac has the beachball. In this case Acrobat cannot be closed normally. Only if I kill the program the Mac can be used normally again. If I have internet access via the WLAN or deactivate the WLAN, Acrobat will work again.

19. Documents that are to be sent for signature sometimes cannot be delivered, even though the email address is correct.

    Recently, since the final change to the AdobeSign user interface, we've repeatedly encountered the problem that documents that were submitted for signature supposedly cannot be delivered, even though the email address is correct (tested and verified several times with several different people). We then receive the error message "Adobe Acrobat Sign Document - Undeliverable." We've also tried it on various user accounts. We use Windows 11.
    The problem doesn't occur everywhere, however. However, since we rely on document delivery, it's absolutely essential that we can rely on it.

20. In Flare guides, font colors are difficult to read

    Your "Flare Global Project Linking Guide" has examples and notes in white font on colored background. These are extremely difficult to see. Additionally, grey fonts overall are less readable.

    I realize that in recent years, grey fonts have been "in style" with many user interface designers, but pale text is an anathama to at least half the population, especially for readers who wear glasses.

    To user interface designers, these pale fonts have a "gentler overall effect on the presentation of the page". But I'm not looking at the page for its overall effect. I'm trying to gain information. And if I have to strain to see the text, this task is much more difficult.

    The whole purpose of having user guides is for people to READ them. If you choose font colors that make this more difficult, the guides are not useable.

    At the LavaCon conference (for content strategy professionals), in discussions of readabilty, accessibilty, etc, of on-screen content, I heard many comments like this: "Those *#&%@ grey fonts -they're so hard to see!"

    Increasing the contrast of my screen is NOT THE SOLUTION - it changes the look of everything else.

    Please consider this issue when designing the presentation of your help content.
