  1. It would be so helpful if Acrobat could do the math and overlay a Layout Grid with a particular number of subdivisions. Instead, currently, the user has to open preferences and put in the exact size of the subdivisions which is tricky when images are not whole number sizes.

  2. Every time I open up tutorials or help it crashes. Also, it lacks some of the ease of use features that XI had.

I am sorry for the inconvenience you are facing.
Can you share with us the acrobat version and the operating system you are using
Also some sample PDFs with which you are facing this issue.

  3. Seems like when you use the replace or insert function, the comments do not come in with the file?

  4. In my work I open and compare and edit multiple documents at the same time, this used to be easy because each pdf opened separately on one click, so I could very quickly have them all open and work between all of them at the same time using alt/tab between them all quickly. Now though pdfs all open in the same window mimicking an internet browser. So you have to click on each and then drag it out to a different part of your screens before you can start alt/tab-ing between them. It's slowing me down and I can't be…

  5. When selecting edits in the Comments panel with the new 2019 Acrobat Pro DC, the background of an active comment is in a light gray screen. My previous versions of Acrobat Pro displayed selected comments in a light color, which made them easier to read and locate when working on a document that has hundreds/thousands of comments. This should be added as a global preference option in the Comments panel.

In the latest update of Acrobat DC, we have modernize the commenting experience and at the same time, made it very clean and intuitive to use.
As part of this update, we have changed the background color of the active comment as dark grey color to differentiate from other comments.
On hovering other comments, the background color of the comment changes to light grey to bring the comment in focus.

However we will consider your suggestion for future updates.

  6. I set up my tool bar the way I like it, the way it works best for me. You want to add buttons that I don`t want. Like Share. I don't need it. Now I have to figure out how to get rid of it to clean up my tool bar.

If you have something new that might be handy for some, just give us one of your annoying start-up suggestions for 'what's new' and then leave us to decide whether we want it or not.

  7. When running the form field autodetection there are e.g. multiline text form fields detected. The names of those fields and the alternate field names have a length of up-to 2249 characters (consisting of nearly the whole page text).
I know that theoretically text strings can be 32K or greater however a meaningful name should be much shorter. So would it be possible to limit the size to a meaningful length of lets say 255? In case no string can be detected the name is "undefined_28" which is good and short...
    Thanks

I have forwarded your request to engineering. It will be picked up after prioritization. We will contact you if we need some more information on this.
    Thank you for your patience

  8. Comments and highlights should look color coded regardless of how they are sorted out... all in the same color looks elegant and everything but it was MUCH easier to read comments in past versions of Acrobat when they were shown with their color

  9. I purchased the Adobe PDF Pack in August 2018 but now, each time I try to convert a file, I get a message saying that my trial has expired and I must buy to continue. Please tell me how to fix this or return the money I paid. Thank you.

  10. Saving simple comments (text box, etc.) to pdf files increases the file size 1+ MB. Chat Support checked into this for a couple hours and could only verify this was happening. Please fix this bug ASAP.

  11. In previous versions of Acrobat, in the Comments pane, there was an visual indicator of the color of the comments (comment bubble, lines, circles, highlights, etc.). But in Acrobat DC all the comments look the same. The color changes based on the AUTHOR NAME, which I suppose might be useful for some people, but not for me. The color of the comments in the comments pane needs to reflect the color of the actual comment, as it did in previous versions.

  12. I want to share feedback on Acrobat DC. (1) The feedback forum won't even load at the bottom of the DC page. So I'm submitting this on the "Windows and Mac" page. (2) I'd like to see if my issue has already been submitted, so I can comment there instead of posting it as a new issue. I can search for issues, but not by version; the search results are for all versions. I've now wasted nearly half an hour just trying to figure out where to post my issue, and whether my issue has already been posted. Ugh.

  13. This bug report was submitted to Apple on 2019-01-17 (Apple bug iD 47350683). As it has masssive impact on user experience in Acrobat (unable to save / save as, regardless whether anything was edited in Acrobat; crashing when opening or having open the Tags panel) I am sharing this here:

    Summary:
When saving out a tagged PDF opened in Preview, Preview/Quartz seems to rewrite the whole PDF structure and - while doing so - messes up the data structures below the StructTreeRoot entry in the Catalog dictionary. For leaf objects inside the StructTreeRoot tree structure, a "Pg" entry is required…

  15. mouse pointer missing when using external Samsung display.
cursor shows up on resolution 1920-1080 and 3840-2160.
on all other resolutions cursor disappears when acrobat is opened.
works fine on normal mac display.
it works on all resolutions when we change the system preference in MAC and increase the cursor size.

  16. Getting comment list to show in Acrobat DC takes way too much time. It's a drag. At least on Mac OS.

    Hi All,

We have provided a registry protected fix, some users confirmed that this worked for them.
Could you please try this at your end as well and let us know your feedback?
Kindly make sure you are on the latest DC build(20.012.20043) and then follow the steps from the attached word file: “Steps.docx”.

    Regards,
    Arvind

  17. I have a 22 page PDF, I am editing text and replacing images. When I get to page 13, the program suddenly closes without any error message being displayed.

  19. In the Send for review there doesn't seem to be a checkbox in the dropdown only resolve. Why is this different to reviewing a normal pdf with comments? Even shift K doesn't work to add a tick. Shouldn't commenting be the same across the board in acrobat whether you are just opening a pdf or opening a shared review?
