  1. I have multiple adobe PDF fillable forms that were create in LiveCycle when it was bundled with prior versions of Acrobat. Now I cannot edit them without purchasing LiveCycle ES4 or the product that is now replacing LiveCycle.   2. In earlier versions of acrobat, right click on a page will bring up a dialog for inserting a number where one wants to move a page. For example, if I am on pag 78, and want this page to be at page [before/after] say 10, then I right click page 78, and select move and insert page number 10 in dialog box. This is very helpful when you have all pages that cannot be displayed on a screen. Drag and drop works well for a screenful of pages, and is very difficult scrolling vertically or horizontally through several pages. I…

  3. In prior Adobe Acrobat versions scanned pages could easily be inserted into an existing file as a new first page. or between any two previously existing pages. That was excellent as I always add pages to the top of existing documents. That feature appears to have been stupidly eliminated. I want the old Adobe!

    This functionality is still there. You can insert pages at any location you want. Follow the steps:
    1. Open any file in Acrobat
    2. Go to Organize Pages app
    3. Click on “Insert → From Scanner” option
    4. Select options to scan and click scan button
    5. A dialog will come asking where to insert scanned pages. Now you can select any option suites you.

    Also, at step 3 you can hover around pages where you want to add scanned pages, there will be a “+” button. Clicking it will add pages at that location only.

  4. Export highlights and comments - after highlighting and commenting on a .pdf file I should be able easily export those highlights and comments as a kind of highlight reel.

  5. When creating PDFs with multiple images that each have a unique filename, I would like to be able to insert that filename on the corresponding page so that I can more easily navigate to that file if I need to search for it on my computer.

  6. When no document is open in Acrobat DC, a recent files list is shown. While the list of files can be disabled, the window itself cannot. As someone who works in Prepress who opens hundreds of PDFs per day, each time I am finished with a file I must also minimise Acrobat DC to return to my working files. As it stands, Acrobat DC is taking up my full screen and providing no useful function, so in my view should include an option to disable this window.

  7. It takes too many clicks to digitally sign forms with signature blocks: 1 click to active to signature box, 1 to select the digital ID, 1 to sign, 1 to save, and 1 to replace the file with the signed version. I frequently sign forms with 2-4 signature fields and this gets tedious. Two clicks would be plenty.

  8. In the Set Page Boxes dialog, under Margin Controls, when you use the
    Apply to: dropdown to switch among boxes, the top, bottom, left and right values do not update to the selected box. For instance, if I change the values for the TrimBox only, then select Bleed Box, the values I just entered display for BleedBox. however, the calculated Cropped Page size for the BleedBox correctly does not include the margins I entered under TrimBox.

    I also found that if I choose CropBox again, which in my sample case has all zeroes in the margin fields, the values restore…

  10. I am trying to edit a scanned in PDF in which i highlight the necessary details as i put them into an autocad drawing. Every time i need to move around the page it is choppy, and every time i want to highlight one detail, the software stops and has to load (sometimes saying 'Not Responding') and takes anywhere from 5 to almost 30 seconds to recognize the command i want, and execute it, every. single. time. This is ridiculous, and wastes useful time in completing my work.

  11. During the correction process utilize a dictionary to look up words which contain most characters as determined by scan and in the same left to right order. Present these as choices to be picked rather than only allowing change via direct editing. Permit editing after a choice is made however because the choice might only be close.

    So often I have seen "print" scanned as "primt" for instance. Since most text is words in a dictionary the correction process can offer alternative spellings with some high degree of probability that one of them is correct. This could also be used…

  12. Preprocess text scans by determining the fix width used for spaces recognizing that the gaps between words can be integral spaces. Use that information to bound the locations containing characters within a box which have no room for one or more space between them.

  16. When editing converted graphics files it is difficult to select multi-layered items. Going through layers is an option, but much time is lost clicking on each path layer trying to find the right item. If a selection could locked or hidden much time could be saved in accessing the desired item.

  17. Older versions had dedicated buttons on the quick tool bar for rotate clockwise and rotate counterclockwise. The current release only has a single button for rotation that opens a separate box, requiring more clicks. The only way to have dedicated buttons that I've found is to open the page thumbnails pane.

    Hi,

    This is AsDesigned behavior. We show only the sign option for PDFs which have active form fields.

    For other PDFs all options)checkmark, cross, sign etc.) are displayed.

  19. Often we get a 2-page signature, i.e. 2, 5.5 x 8.5 pages on one 8.5x11 or 2, 8.5 x 11 on 11x17. Many times these signatures are not in the correct order for printing and we have to "cut" them apart and re-order the pages.
    If the Split Pages had an option like divide document pages in to smaller pages this would improve the workflow in print shops

  20. Using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, Situation:
    a watermark was added to a document, vertical distance set to " 2 Milimeters from Top" and document saved. Then re-open document, use "Tools > Pages > Watermark > Update...". The settings in dialog box are displayed as they were saved (e.g. Vertical Distance: 2 Milimeter from Top), however in the preview pane, the existing watermark shows at another position then in dialog (position is displayed at Inches instead of Milimeters). Watermark shifted somewhere to the middle of the page.
    Workaround: change Vertical Distance setting to another unit (e.g. Centimeters), then change back to…
