  1. The feature "Restrict editing/copying" under Permissions not working when allowing printing. This is a problem as I need to send documents where people can read/print them but shouldn't be able to copy/edit the text to protect our intelectual property as much as possible.
    I have worked with the Adobe support team and they have acknowledged the bug and asked me to detail it here. Please include a fix in your next release, thanks.

  2. It would be great if Adobe Acrobat DC for Mac could send emails without crashing. I can no longer use this feature. Support has given me changes to my system, I have updated the app and tried everything myself. Quite a handy feature to have in almost any application.

    I use Outlook for Mac 2016 for email.

  5. The Create Adobe PDF from selected Outlook messages in Adobe Acrobat DC is a wonderful tool and I use it every 10 minuts. Before getting this tool I and my colleagues just dragged each message to a folder and created by that an Outlook.msg file for each message.

    To have these old msg files moved into the new PDF file I have to copy the msg files back into Outlook and then create or append the messages to the PDF.

  6. On my Service Agreement document, I always Cc my assistant and always change the message that goes with it - is I possible to have these individualised common inputs programmed to the dindividual document?

  7. I use Adobe Acrobat through my entire Engineering Consulting Business (Bowden engineering Solutions Pty ltd), but I have a bug with Acrobat DC Pro. I am running it on a laptop that has on Windows 10 and a second monitor that is connected with HDMI and positioned above the laptop monitor. The laptop monitor is still selected as the "main display". The bug occurs about 50% of the time when I open an Acrobat file.   8. I am making simple changes (such as rotating the document) and then saving as to try to lock the edits into the document, but the saved as doc is rejecting these changes.

    You are using Rotate View option which rotates the view of the document.
    You need to use Rotate Pages option present in Organize Pages app or Page Thumbnail pane.

  12. I know how to set a default color for highlighting, and how to select from multiple colors. HOWEVER, I would like to be able to assign each color a name (ex. Dark blue = Main arguments. Light blue = supporting info. Green = Concepts). I would like these color and titles to appear in a key that I could continue to choose from easily. Then I would like to be able to search by color/issue. (Ex. If I searched for green/concepts it would show me all the text highlighted in green together). As a student and a professional this would…

  13. I have multiple adobe PDF fillable forms that were create in LiveCycle when it was bundled with prior versions of Acrobat. Now I cannot edit them without purchasing LiveCycle ES4 or the product that is now replacing LiveCycle.   14. In earlier versions of acrobat, right click on a page will bring up a dialog for inserting a number where one wants to move a page. For example, if I am on pag 78, and want this page to be at page [before/after] say 10, then I right click page 78, and select move and insert page number 10 in dialog box. This is very helpful when you have all pages that cannot be displayed on a screen. Drag and drop works well for a screenful of pages, and is very difficult scrolling vertically or horizontally through several pages. I…

  15. In prior Adobe Acrobat versions scanned pages could easily be inserted into an existing file as a new first page. or between any two previously existing pages. That was excellent as I always add pages to the top of existing documents. That feature appears to have been stupidly eliminated. I want the old Adobe!

    This functionality is still there. You can insert pages at any location you want. Follow the steps:
    1. Open any file in Acrobat
    2. Go to Organize Pages app
    3. Click on “Insert → From Scanner” option
    4. Select options to scan and click scan button
    5. A dialog will come asking where to insert scanned pages. Now you can select any option suites you.

    Also, at step 3 you can hover around pages where you want to add scanned pages, there will be a “+” button. Clicking it will add pages at that location only.

  16. Export highlights and comments - after highlighting and commenting on a .pdf file I should be able easily export those highlights and comments as a kind of highlight reel.

  17. When creating PDFs with multiple images that each have a unique filename, I would like to be able to insert that filename on the corresponding page so that I can more easily navigate to that file if I need to search for it on my computer.

  18. When no document is open in Acrobat DC, a recent files list is shown. While the list of files can be disabled, the window itself cannot. As someone who works in Prepress who opens hundreds of PDFs per day, each time I am finished with a file I must also minimise Acrobat DC to return to my working files. As it stands, Acrobat DC is taking up my full screen and providing no useful function, so in my view should include an option to disable this window.

It takes too many clicks to digitally sign forms with signature blocks: 1 click to active to signature box, 1 to select the digital ID, 1 to sign, 1 to save, and 1 to replace the file with the signed version. I frequently sign forms with 2-4 signature fields and this gets tedious. Two clicks would be plenty.

  20. In the Set Page Boxes dialog, under Margin Controls, when you use the
    Apply to: dropdown to switch among boxes, the top, bottom, left and right values do not update to the selected box. For instance, if I change the values for the TrimBox only, then select Bleed Box, the values I just entered display for BleedBox. however, the calculated Cropped Page size for the BleedBox correctly does not include the margins I entered under TrimBox.

    I also found that if I choose CropBox again, which in my sample case has all zeroes in the margin fields, the values restore…
