  2. Currently the Bates Numbering option does not allow the user to select folder and subfolders to the window for incorporating Bates Numbering. Users currently have to separate the subfolders onto the desktop and then add each folder separately to the list, once all the folders are added, the functionality can then be operated. However, most of the time users have up to 500 subfolders, so its essential that the subfolders are numbered to that the Bates numbering follows numerically correctly. There are other products that can already do this, so why cant Adobe

  3. Simply format support for OpenOffice formats used by OpenOffice and LibreOffice.

This is vital for those that prefer those formats over Microsoft Office formats. While they aren't as fully featured or useful in some cases they are free and open source making them a great alternative to the closed source formats of their Microsoft counterparts. Plus my book features some of these formats and i'm too lazy to convert them over...

  4. Every time I doubleclick a PDF file to view its content, Acrobat pops up messages asking me to confirm that I have noticed some feature I do not need, provide feedback, use the AI assistant I do not want, review the tools I have no use for. Please provide an option to switch off all these distracting messages, buttons and toolbars and just plainly and simply display the content of the PDF file on the screen with no frills.

  5. There is something wrong with the side menu. When I first open a document, I can see the All Tools menu on the left, but as soon as I click a tool or click one of the other side bar categories, I can see that it pulls up the tools menu but it's like stuck behind a shadow of the previous side menu and there's nothing I can do. Pressing the X doesn't close the tools, and it is basically stuck like this until I close the document and reopen, even with clicking the other options at the top like…

  7. 20+ year Acrobat user, in your latest Acrobat Pro releases I'm inundated with AI prompts, windows, task bars, etc. NO I don't want a regenerative AI request in my document, NO I don't want a document summary, NO I don't want anything else AI related in a simple PDF. This is wasting so much time. Despite disabling AI features, they literally come back after every open.

  8. WORST ******* IDEA EVER ADOBE. GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ***! I'M ABOUT TO SWITCH TO ANYBODY BUT YOU JUST TO BE RID OF THE CONSTANT ANNOYANCE OF AI THAT NOBODY WANTED, NOBODY USES, NOBODY ASKED FOR. I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M PAYING $30/MONTH TO BE HARRASSED BY AI, BUT I HAVE NO CHOICE BECAUSE I NEED PDFS FOR WORK. I HATE YOU UNTIL THE END OF TIME. YOU CAN TAKE YOUR SPOT WITH MICROSOFT AND WINDOWS AND ICLOUD AND ONEDRIVE AND EVERY OTHER TECH COMPANY THAT SHOULD HAVE ITS ENTIRE WORKPLACE BOMBED TO SMITHEREENS. WAIT A MINUTE, AM I…

  10. You have successfully destroyed what was once the premier business use software for handling pdf files. Since it has become impossible to use, perhaps your AI agent could direct us to GOOD pdf software or at least suggest some packages that work.

  11. Acrobat's AI podcast feature is great!!!

But how do I save or share the actual audio? I’d like to attach it to my document and be able to send it out, or post both together.

There doesn’t seem to be a link to download it or even a link to share it.

This AI model is amazing :) But I would like to be able to share the podcast, please :)

  12. I can’t believe Adobe is calling this AI. It’s not. Glorified chatbot? Maybe. It answers questions fairly well. But it can’t actually DO anything. Example? Because my business has factories in 5 states. I must file state tax returns in each of them. I get a PDF containing the federal form and each state form. The file includes a table of contents that clearly marks the start of each form. I asked the AI to break it into five separate files. It couldn’t do it. Extracting multiple PDFs is something I do a lot. But an AI specifically created for…

  13. All of our PDFs need to be accessible to people with disabilities. For each PDF we need to generate a report in Acrobat that proves that the document is accessible. One area that isn't working well is the reading order.

Currently Acrobat's reading order means a computer reading order. We need a disability reading order. Acrobat's reading order is generated by the reverse of the layers panel in the source program where the document is designed. If we want to check the disability reading order we have to go to the tags panel and click on ever single line.

    Can…

  14. Acrobat Pro should be able to find all accessibility errors and suggest a fix for each one, with a button to fix it, similar to find/replace in a document. When I use Acrobat Pro, it finds some of the accessibility errors, but no option to fix them. When I put it into PAC for the final check, it finds more errors so I am spending hours on each document that our agency posts online.

  15. Useful function in previous comment made in 2017 quoted below was replied by Adobe to work on but yet to be incorporated in the latest adobe acrobat version in 2025:

    Custom Comment Status Tags
It would be nice if users can create and manage custom status tags. Often when I'm addressing comments I use the status tags for organizing which comments I've addressed and how I address them. I turn them on and off to keep track of which one's I've addressed. For the most part they are usually accepted or rejected, but sometimes there are some that should be…

  16. Despite spending hours rearranging text elements in an interactive PDF exported from InDesign (both InDesign and Acrobat up to date as of March 2026), the read aloud feature is not following the reading order. It's also breaking up sentences despite there being no break in the tagged area.

It took so long to get elements in the right order. It's also incredibly frustrating having to save a new backup after every 5 pages because Acrobat's Reading Order panel is so buggy and unreliable. On top of that, it doesn't even have a single undo function, let alone multiple undoes.

    When…

  20. When I edit a document, whether it be striking out a word or adding a new paragraph it will past the same actions across multiple pages within my document. Its a bug I cant seem to get rid off. I just want the one area edited not pasting what I am editing across every page of my document. Makes the program unusable.
