  2. As you are well aware, the users of Adobe Acrobat (or similar products) usually apply ‘Highlight Text’ to highlight or summarize parts of the text or the book that they are reading in PDF format.

    After finishing to read the text, if the user can have the ability to extract (in one step) all the highlighted parts in the format of a MS Word or other PDF file; this can be very handy and helpful; since this way the user can easily make an outlined summary of the read text or book ready for future references.

  3. Please allow the digital signature options (and the comment, specifically the dynamic stamp (who came up with that unintuitive name and why??), options) to remain in the toolbar from document to document so I do not need to go through the same multi-step process over and over again when approving or signing a number of documents in a row. I see that you've noted that "streamline digital signing" below has been resolved - nope, it has not. In the attached I've shown the steps it takes to put a dynamic stamp on a PDF. Each. Time. Please fix. Thank you.

  4. Auto update feature cannot be turned off. This is a fundamental flaw in your software. No software should ever update without permission of ownder.

  5. I'm using Adobe Acrobat DC and MadCap Flare 2018 r2 on a Windows 10 operating system.

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Build a PDF in Flare.
    2. Open the PDF from inside Flare.
    3. Double-click on a different PDF in Windows Explorer.

    Expected result: Second PDF opens.
    Actual result: Second PDF does not open. The error message that shows up sometime later says: Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server.

    MadCap support has been unable to resolve the issue.

  6. I have set scheduled runnig a batch file whcih indexes over 65,000 PDF files every weekend.
    However CPU utilization is over 95% when index creating.

  8. The "To" Column on Shared files index is a very important reference feature that was lost in updates. Would very much appreciate having it back. Makes reviews and finding reviews much easier and quicker, especially when same doc might have gone to different groups. Thanks so much for great tools!

  10. Acrobat DC. since the update on 10.23.18, will not open files, making it rather useless. I have tried uninstall/reinstall; this will get one file opened one time. On a second launch, it again will not open any file. Am I going to have to uninstall/reinstall EVERY time I want to open a file?

    1) Version of Acrobat DC you are using.
    2) Which OS are you on.
    3) What happens when you try to open Acrobat (Any error message? or Acrobat doesn’t launch?)

  13. Hello, could you review the modalitée for sending a Pdf by mail, it should have the mail is directly open the mail software. And also when I have a Pdf of several pages and I want to send that certain page by mail, before I used the function to extract and I send directly the extraction by mail. Now after extraction if I want to send it I have to register it, is it possible to make sure not to have to register before sending.

  14. When trying to merge two files that are each fillable forms, instead of being two separate pages, the second form prepopulates with information from the first form page. So there is no way to merge two forms.

  15. When selecting edits in the Comments panel with the new 2019 Acrobat Pro DC, the background of an active comment is in a light gray screen. My previous versions of Acrobat Pro displayed selected comments in a light color, which made them easier to read and locate when working on a document that has hundreds/thousands of comments. This should be added as a global preference option in the Comments panel.

    In the latest update of Acrobat DC, we have modernize the commenting experience and at the same time, made it very clean and intuitive to use.
    As part of this update, we have changed the background color of the active comment as dark grey color to differentiate from other comments.
    On hovering other comments, the background color of the comment changes to light grey to bring the comment in focus.

    However we will consider your suggestion for future updates.

  17. Low internet connections compromise the efficient use of applications. Can you allow a connection to CC each time we open applications to approve our user licenses and then log off to work offline? I'm experiencing fixed bugs between InDesign and Acrobat DC 2019 when exporting to PDF from InDesign and abnormal work delays in InDesign. Uninstalling applications and reinstalling them as suggested by your customer service does not change the problem. This suggestion is a waste of time.

    We have added this in our backlog, will let you know once we implement it it future.

  20. The Action Wizards that are custom setup can no longer save to a pre-specified folder.

    Previously action would save to a designated folder when "Save to Local Folder" was the option.

    It no longer saves at all even though the operation is checked.

    What should happen is it should be saved in the folder specified as previously.

    I'm running MacOS 10.14 and using Acrobat 20080 on a MacBook Pro.

    For saving the file to a particular folder you can click on File menu > save as.
    The popup opens up now select ‘choose a different folder..’
    Now you can save your file to your desired location.
