  3. This is a bug report for Acrobat Pro 2017.

When creating a new form "button" with an icon appearance, it is not possible to select the first page of a multi-page PDF as the icon image.

    • Create a new button field
    • In the Properties dialog box for the button choose the Options tab
    • Choose "Icon only" from the layout dropdown list
    • Click the Choose Icon button and select a multi-page PDF
    • Try to select the first page of the PDF as the icon image.
    • Only the 2nd or later page can actually be selected (even though the first page will…

    Hello,

    Thanks for reporting this issue.

But we are not able to reproduce this issue at our end.
Thus please let us know your Acrobat version and OS details.

Moreover, are you facing this issue for every file? If not, share the sample file.

    Thanks,
    Gaurav

  4. Like many users I was caught off guard by the automatic October 2018 update that significantly changed things (for the worse, as usual). I wasn't even aware that Acrobat had automatic updates turned on! All the other CC apps simply notify you via Creative Cloud when an update is available, and I choose whether or not to install it. Why is Acrobat different?

Apps from other companies have a prominent dialog during initial install that asks whether you want to install updates automatically or not. I don't recall ever seeing this type of notice for Acrobat.

    At the very least,…

  6. When making a document ready for review in the new Acrobat DC 19.8, if I want to add people from my contact book, the program crashes immediately when pressing the button.

Every time, even when just booted up.

I added my error in the following text.

  7. Cloud based digital IDs are getting common, convenience (applicable for use between different devices), cheaper and my desire feature - 2 factor OTP (One-Time Password). Why Acrobat Pro DC does not allows cloud based digital IDs? I don't feel there's a competition to Adobe Sign if this is included. More importantly, tag line for Acrobat is "complete PDF solution", it will be ridiculous to switch between 2 Adobe software just for signing with cloud based digital ID.

P.S.: Took me quite a while to realize the difference between token/certificate digital ID and cloud based digital ID. My effort was wasted…

  8. A customer explained that he opened a document shared for review in Acrobat. He was working with a colleague who was adding comments in the same review on the web. While comments were syncing periodically, he wanted the option to manually check for new comments in addition.

  9. When I open a PDF, and select View/page display/enable scrolling - it doesn't work. I have discovered (trial and error) that if I change the window size (click on bottom corner and drag/resize diagonally a little, larger or smaller) that that seems to correct the enable scrolling issue. It is frustraitng to have to do that with each PDF I open, since I review multiple-paged PDFs a good bit of the day. Please fix it. Thanks. (iMac user)

  10. I view PDFs on a 27" screen so two open PDFs fit side by side, making review easier. I no longer see the % field in the tool section at top of each PDF. While I can, with multiple steps (4), change the view % size, it used to be so easy to just change the visible % field as needed—1 step. Usually, I need the annotated PDF at 75% and the revised PDF at 100% (this allows for the wide comment column to be seen.). I have searched all the tool preferences that I can find, but can not…

  12. Each time I export to excel the format is not like the previous versions. There is far more work to format the document. Cells will auto merge or additional columns will be added. Past versions have allowed me to export the exact document with no format issues.

  14. Older versions I was able to quickly locate the tools to crop an image to make it smaller. I was also able to break down a document and extract one page if needed as a pdf file. Manipulate files is what this was useful for. No longer is this a user friendly program.

  15. Windows 10 Pro 64, Office 365 Home

I use an Excel spreadsheet to keep track of and open with links most of my pdf ebooks. Last day or two, Acrobat began crashing when I used an Excel link if there were any documents already open in Acrobat. Very frustrating because I'm just trying to do what I do every day of the week, multiple times in a day. I discovered that the problem was restricted to one desktop and to one of the two monitors on that machine, the extended display. Cut story short, the issue was solved after I…

  16. We use to be able to extract a page from a large document and send it to an email as an attachment with just a click or two. Now it is mandatory that the extracted pages be saved first and then attached to an email. This idea seems to be going in a backwards direction. Not only does it take more time to complete, it is taking more disk space to re-save the pages that are already saved in the original document. Please put this feature back the way it was.

  19. The previous version of Acrobat clearly indicated which fields were fillable by having them highlighted in blue. And now there simply isn't anything, and it's suggested to simply just click and check? Not effective, efficient, or clear especially for forms that are aimed towards less tech savvy people.
