  1. Inserting a table:
    I have no idea how to insert a table in a PDF. The instructions say 'go to insert'. I cannot seem to find the icon- insert.

    There is no concept of a table in a PDF file.
    If you want dynamic table, you can add text form fields that are organized in a grid that resembles a table, but you would have to do this manually.
    If you want to insert a static table, the best way to do this is to go back to the original application what was used to create this document (e.g. MS Word, InDesign …)

  2. adobe acrobat 5 was wonderful when editing it put a box around each line adobe acrobat pro dc puts one big box around everything and then when i edit everything get misaligned. my editing now is a forever nightmare. version 5 was perfect nothing got misaligned.
    please fix this bug and put a box around every line for editing

  4. After reading multiple sites and comments on this page I request that Adobe takes the hours of work we put in more seriously. I do not see efforts to fix anywhere on here. Anyone?

  5. When editing a PDF that already contains text that was converted to outlines, the "recognize text" feature redraws that already outlined text to a ****** version of the text. It's like it converts it to a low resolution image, and then outlines that image. The settings under "Enhance Scans > Recognize Text > Settings" have no influence over the "Edit PDF > Scanned Documents > Recognize Text" feature.

    Why would you reoutline already outlined text?

    We do not keep the file anywhere once it has been deleted. You will not be able to recover the deleted file.

  7. I recently got a new machine and moved my DC pro account over. Turns out I somehow ended up with the classic version and spent a few hours trying to figure out why I was having a lack of features on this new install. I'm just really annoyed that something so simple as notifying me that I'm not installing the right variant of a purchased product has cost me so much time.

  9. Every pdf document I send to my MFD (Canon) does not automatically print. It sends a message to pick paper size because it's a custom size. However, it is NEVER a custom size, it's always 8-1/2 x 11. All the settings in my document say to print to 8-1/2 x 11, I've tried shrink and fit and still, I keep getting the message at the printer and have to choose 8-1/2 x 11. Really annoying.

    Thank you for reporting this issue. Please provide the following details:
    1. Printer driver and model number.
    2. Sample document on which you are experiencing this issue.
    3. Screenshot of print dialog window and Properties window.
    3.1 Open any document and click print
    3.2 Take screenshot
    3.3 Click Properties button next to printers list
    3.4 Take screenshot
    4. Have you tried with different printer?
    5. Have you tried printing to PDF using Adobe PDF printer?

  11. on Editing PDF and Putting Each Object in Layers (text boxes...squares..pictures...etc.... )and can be Grouped as in Adobe Photoshop and illustrator

  13. Hi, can you create an option to choose which format to choose by default using the "Save file as" command. Because I often have to export a jpeg format and have a quick button for the "Save file as", but every time I have the drop-down menu in the dialog I choose the JPEG format. Just add an option to choose the default format when using the option, so anyone can use it for most export formats. Or just remember the last selected format every time you use "Save file as

  14. Currently have Adobe Acrobat installed on my university machine and am using Word 2013 to compile my thesis chapters and figures (.emf and .png files). However when I either use the ‘create pdf’ ribbon option using press quality settings (adjusted to a4 paper size) I end up with a .pdf with 8.5 x 11 in size. This happens also when printing via Adobe PDF option through word.

  17. On my Service Agreement document, I always Cc my assistant and always change the message that goes with it - is I possible to have these individualised common inputs programmed to the dindividual document?

  18. I use Adobe Acrobat through my entire Engineering Consulting Business (Bowden engineering Solutions Pty ltd), but I have a bug with Acrobat DC Pro. I am running it on a laptop that has on Windows 10 and a second monitor that is connected with HDMI and positioned above the laptop monitor. The laptop monitor is still selected as the "main display". The bug occurs about 50% of the time when I open an Acrobat file. The Acrobat window maximises on the second monitor and there is a blank portion along the top of the Acrobat window that covers the menus,…

  20. In prior Adobe Acrobat versions scanned pages could easily be inserted into an existing file as a new first page. or between any two previously existing pages. That was excellent as I always add pages to the top of existing documents. That feature appears to have been stupidly eliminated. I want the old Adobe!

    This functionality is still there. You can insert pages at any location you want. Follow the steps:
    1. Open any file in Acrobat
    2. Go to Organize Pages app
    3. Click on “Insert → From Scanner” option
    4. Select options to scan and click scan button
    5. A dialog will come asking where to insert scanned pages. Now you can select any option suites you.

    Also, at step 3 you can hover around pages where you want to add scanned pages, there will be a “+” button. Clicking it will add pages at that location only.
