  1. Issue Displaying Embedded Fonts in Advanced Optimization

    In Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017, I am able to see an embedded font (through File -> Properties -> Font) which displays the following:
    HiddenHOrzOCR (Embedded)
    Type: Type 1 (CID)
    Encoding: Identity-H

    I am trying to un-embed the font through the Advanced Optimization tool but it won't display the font as embedded locally. This may be my own lack of knowledge but why won't the font display as an embedded font when I can see that it is embedded through the fonts display? How do I un-embed it if I can't get it to display? Thanks.

  2. Cannot Combine documents

    I used Adobe Acrobat Pro DC on a Windows 7 64 bit desktop environment.

    I simply select the combine documents icon button, it has me choose either existing open document or add unopened documents. Either way it does not work. When I select open document, it has the one open document and then I need to add the 2nd document to combine, and I select it, those documents never populated the page and thus I cannot move to the next step of clicking on the "Combine" button. This has happened multiple times. I think of asking for a refund and…

  3. initial view error - Bug Report

    Acrobat Pro DC Version 2019.008.20081 - Windows 10 64bit

    I configured the initial view setting in the Document properties, such as Page Layout, magnification, open to page, and Window Options
    But the initial view configuration is ignored when I open the pdf document, and the Acrobat shows last view settings and page regardless initial view setting.

    For example, I set the "Page Layout" with Two up and "Open to Page"
    with 1. then save and close. when I reopen the document, the Acrobat shows single page layout view and page 5 as the las view before closing document.

    We have adobe XII and windows 10. Adobe crashes when switching from black and white to color. It also crashes going from letter to legal. I have attached a link to the dmp file for your review.

  10. Link to JavaScript SDK is not working

    https://www.adobe.com/devnet/acrobat/javascript.html contains link to Acrobat DC JavaScript SDK but it seems to be broken. Can you please update link?

  12. Licence Activation is standalone and not connected to Creative Cloud

    BUG - Licence Activation is standalone and not connected to Creative Cloud

    We have Creative Cloud collection subscription and the licence activation to acrobat is not connected to being signed into Creative Cloud.
    so you have to sign in twice.
    Please fix this so it is part of the whole family. We should only have to sign in once to activate all the software in creative cloud suite.

  13. Create dummy page for visual commenting on locked PDF to show changes

    I've made rectangles and arrows in addition to verbal comments to indicate placement changes on page layouts for locked PDFs from an overseas production vendor (I think the requests were getting lost in translation). It would have been much easier to create/reference a dummy page with low resolution or lightened placeholders that I could have adjusted. And it would be a bonus if those placeholders referenced the original objects for the changes to be accepted/applied by the owner of the PDF.

  14. Add flexibility to Storage panel

    I would like to have some control over the Storage panel on my Save As PDF dialogue box. Document Cloud is useless for me. I use several folders on my computer that contain many subfolders, and would like to get to those main folders quickly. Why can’t this work the way finder panels work, where I can add or delete destination folders?

  16. Single Page View Icon doesn't work properly in Acrobat Pro DC ver. 19.008.20080.44583

    My default is page width. From there I click on single page view but nothing happens. If I click on the 2 page side by side view and then the single page view if changes to single page view but NOT directly from the page width view.

  17. The order of operation for "highlight" and "insert text" is inconsistent.

    When highlighting in the newest version of Acrobat Pro, one may select the highlight feature and then highlight the text, just as one would do with a physical highlighter. When using the "Insert text at cursor" feature, however, one must first place the cursor in the desired location and then select the insert text feature. This seems inconsistent with the highlight feature. I don't recall this being the case in the previous version and I'm having trouble getting use to the change. (One of many.)

  18. Email Validation not Supporting all the Allowable Characters

    Email addresses now support special characters as the first character of the local address in an email address and following characters. Acrobat/Reader does not allow these characters within the local address.

  19. Adobe Acrobat Pro lacks actual editing features

    To be an editing program, Adobe Acrobat needs actual editing features.

    1) There needs to be a way to set margins, and to lock and unlock headers and footers in place for editing. 2) Compatibility issues with other adobe programs need to be addressed.

    I'm trying to work with a file created by someone else in Adobe InDesign at the moment, and there are serious formatting issues crossing over with the text being randomly broken up into multiple text boxes. Even if I copy-paste all the text on one page into a single text area, after I save the document…

  20. Disappearing cursor

    My cursor keeps disappearing, making my workflow incredibly slow and annoying. I've looked into forums and reinstalled many times but it won't fix the bug. I also have trouble selecting text. The problem seems to affect other users too, some were able to find fixes that worked for them, but I've had the same issue for months without any solution.
