1. BUG - Zoom to fit not working with new Apple Studio Displays...

   Since replacing my 2x Dell 27" displays with 2x Apple Studio 27" displays a few weeks ago, Acrobat 'CMD 0' (Zoom to Page Level / Fit Page in Window) no longer works.

   If I use 'CMD 0' or set PDF viewing settings or document properties to Fit Page or Fit Height, the page is displayed larger than the window. This means if I then press the page down button on my keyboard, the page just scrolls up a bit to show the bottom of the current page. I have to press 'CMD -' to zoom out a little bit (which then shows all the page plus a little gap all around the page in the window) and then the page down button works properly.

   I have updated Acrobat to the latest version and tried all the Apple Studio Display settings and advanced settings options in System Prefs.

   Something is not working properly in Acrobat. InDesign and other page based apps are working correctly.

   Can anyone, or Adobe, help? I will post this in the Adobe Support Community too.

2. LaTeX + Drawboard PDF = Error 18

   I'm using LaTeX (Beamer) to create my files and Drawboard PDF to draw on them. When I open the files with Acrobat, the slides with annotations with them result in Acrobat saying "There was a problem reading this document (18)". I can't even edit and try to save the document:

3. FIT WIDTH/FIT VISIBLE works one way only with mixed size documents (shrinks pages only)

   I often works with mixed size documents. I have document set on Fit Width or Fit Visible and it is at about 80%. Then I hit a page in landscape, and it is still Fit Width or Fit Visible but my view is at about 30%. Then I scroll down to regular portrait, and I am still at Fit Width or Fit Visible but I remain at 30% so I have to MANUALLY adjust it. I usually pick the other of the two - Fit Width or Fit Visible - and I am back at 80%. Can you make Fit Width and Fit Visible adjust BOTH WAYS? So if I work with portrait at 80%, get landscape page and it shrinks to 30%, but when I go back to portrait pages, the view would adjust to 80% again? Presently, Acrobat shrinks pages but DOES NOT go back to bigger pages after that out of size page and that's quite irritating - I have to adjust it manually every single time. Thanks!

   BE able to save multiple subsections and bookmarked Sections as a PDF rather than the whole document when PRINT action does not allow subsections to be saved through printer dialogue. Going to save as just saves the whole document again. NOT the selected Subsection or multiple pages.

   We have recorded it as a feature request in our database.
   However saving multiple pages to PDF option is there. You can give selected pages in ‘Pages’ option on print dialog.

5. [Bug Report] Deleting a page while the mini page preview is visible produces an error

   I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2019.021.20061
   When I open a PDF and double-click with my middle mouse button (the scroll wheel), a mini page thumbnail window is opened, similar too the Pan & Zoom window, but slightly different.    Note that this is not regarding the Page Thumbnail sidebar nor the "Pan & Zoom" window. There is no menu option to make this mini page thumbnail appear, the only way is to double-click the middle mouse button.

   While that mini page thumbnail window is opened, deleting the currently visible page that contains any visible form fields makes a dialog appear that reads "One or more pages are in use and could not be deleted"

   When the page deletion is done using JavaScript, it doesn't matter what the currently visible page is, the operation will thrown the following error in the JavaScript Debugger: "RaiseError: One or more pages are in use and could not be deleted."

   After the initial failed deletion that produces the error, it is subsequently possible to delete the page without issue.

6. Need to show all the comments in column, not just name of commenter

   Each new release you make takes away from my productivity!
   
   1. The new version of Acrobat Pro shows the right col. Comment list by name of commenter, but I need to see the entire list of the marked comments/changes. This function seems to have disappeared with the recent release. The comment col. as a scroll list view showing all corrections/changes is also a great checklist to make sure all client and manager changes have been made. I review and proofread many, many PDFs each day and it's very frustrating to have to open each comment one-by-one.
   2. Each opened comment box covers up the area in the copy on the PDF that has the change marked (we're reviewing and changing marketing copy primarily for health insurance plans and other text-heavy files), so there are lots of changes on each page.) Covering up the change isn't helpful.
   3. When I'm marking up corrections/changes to the PDF, and have to revise what's been written as a comment in the comment box, the previous comment text can't be highlighted/typed over (as with a Word document) but one has to go back to the comment box and remove the unwanted text (this function was available in previous versions).

   Each new release you make takes away from my productivity!

7. bizarre saving behavior by Acrobat Pro with one particular file

   For what it’s worth, this is coming from a guy that used to be kenc@microsoft.com (1988-97) – “Ken C-is-for-Chart”, they called me (an area I was responsible for in Works and just a bit in Excel) – Microsoft, where half the folks I worked with were, like the agent today, from India! And it has occurred to me, as I have observed the program behavior detailed in the accompanying doc file, that hey, if I were the programmer on the other end of the program – Acrobat, in this case – I would want to know about this behavior!

   Given that this web page offers file uploading, I guess the only (only??) roadblock possibly remaining is whether it will allow uploading this unique file, at all of 175Mb!...?

   Since I am submitting this “idea” – to be considered a bug, presumably, since clearly Acrobat is not behaving the way anyone would like it to! – submitting while signed in on UserVoice, one would hope that if the big file doesn’t “go”, sign-in info will be available to Adobe? such that you can contact me, hopefully with another way to get you the file? …as I said, in some way it is “unique” in causing this, ahem, untoward behavior.

   So here goes, uploading the details in “Save problem description.docx”, and trying to upload “Chinese-English Dictionary (Giles, 1892, 1912).pdf”.

   
   Well... the big file it seems didn't "go", but also without any rejection notice or report of failure. 
   
   By the way, lastly – if it turns out that someone is interested in this! – that file contains no personal information, only highlighting and bookmarking of various dictionary entries.  And the file (1912, scanned and somehow OCRd, including the Chinese, in the original) originally came from archive.org at https://archive.org/details/b31352583/page/552/mode/2up (just verified).
   
   Yeah, one more thing, without re-editing the attached file:  That file mentions the versions of Acrobat involved, but does not mention that my machine is running Windows 10, my wife's Windows 11, with the same "bizarre" behavior.  :-)

8. Trashy application and garbage user experience

   I have been using Acrobat Read (paid) for 1 year.

   The application is trashy at its best.

   1. Had crashes when exporting from word to pdf. It crashes 3/6 times.

   2. Export to pdf from word was changed recently and the user experience was broken. After the export to pdf the user is moved from the existing line to the beggining of the document. If you do this 100 times per day and if you work continously with the export this is not work - the product that designed this is idiot. He should have asked the customers. This new „feature” was recently „introduced”. Another idiocy of the application. Another broken feature not designed for customers.

   3. Another broken feature is when you open a pdf in the read and you select view of 2 pages. It used to align both of the pages correctly into the view of the reader and when you were paging 200 pages document it would correctly align each 2 new pages into the view and you were viewing only the 2 pages. Right now after it was „fixed”, the scroll was designed so idiotic that you see 4 pages, and you need to manually align them. When you have a 200 pages document this is stupid.

   4. The product is continously updated and reinstalled, meaning the level of bugs is so high that the application needs to be continously in repair mode.

   This product is not designed for customers, is designed by idiots that are not using it and that dont know the customers.

9. Horizontal Ruler Covers Top of First Page in Single Page Continuous Page Layout

   Software: Adobe Acrobat Pro, Continuous Release, Version 2023.003.20180 (New Acrobat)

   OS: MacOS 15.0.1

   To Reproduce the Issue: Open a multi-page PDF document with content at the very top of the first page. Set the page layout to Single Page Continuous. Toggle rulers on and off, and notice that the horizontal ruler overlays the very top of the PDF document, blocking the content at the top of the page from view. Also, try scrolling up with rulers on, and notice that the user cannot scroll up the document enough to display the portion go the document covered by the horizontal ruler.

   Observed Result: The horizontal ruler blocks PDF document content.

   Expected Result: The horizontal ruler should NOT block PDF document content. The ruler should not overlay the document. Instead, the very top of the PDF document's first page should be displayed immediately under the bottom edge of the horizontal ruler, so that the entire PDF document can be viewed when rulers are on.

   Software: Adobe Acrobat Pro, Continuous Release, Version 2023.003.20180 (New Acrobat)

   OS: MacOS 15.0.1

10. Changing the zoom direction option in Acrobat.

    Preference to change the scroll wheel so when i push/roll the wheel away from me the document also moves away from me. when i pull the wheel back to me the document also pulls closer to me.
    Please add the reversing option for this zoom scroll action.

11. When using Adobe sign, reviewing completed agreements. There is no SLIDER!

    Add a slider to each section (completed agreements, agreements out for signature, etc.), so the user can easily scroll through them. Having to use the mouse scroll wheel is inconvenient compared to a slider.

    When I opened the screen of completed agreements, I only saw the most recent ones. There is no way to know how many there are or to easily scroll through them.

    This interface could be easily improved by adding a slider to the right of the screen. Not everyone has a mouse with a scroll wheel, and even if they do, it doesn't work as well as a slider.

12. Adobe Sign - Return Home

    After closing out an agreement, I click the logo in the upper left corner hoping to return to the Adobe Sign Home but it takes me back to my login page where I have to choose the profile. Problem is, beyond the minor annoyance, is my Adobe Sign profile is never there to select. I have to rely on my bookmark to get back to the screen I need.

13. crash on ds82.pdf form from the US gov

    if you enter the fill & sign tool, check at least one 'yes' boxes, then scroll down Acrobat crashes with this message:

    There was a RAISE without a handler. The application will now exit.

    It is repeatable. (If you scroll without checking the boxes there is a scroll discontinuity but no crash.)

    During a slow afternoon, I found https://spinmamas.org via a bookmarking suggestion from my browser. Their “real feedback + clear evaluation” style was just what I needed. They had a section on how platforms handle verifications and payouts, which saved me the headache of reading through FAQ pages on dozens of sites myself. 18. Page thumbnail navigation reverts to top when you return to doc

    If I have 2 docs open and I have scrolled down the list of thumbnails in the thumbnail navigation pane, then switch to the other acrobat doc, then return to the first doc, it now displays the beginning of the thumbnail list and I have to scroll back to where I was every time I return to that document.

19. Preflight Error: value at index 0 must be an indirect object

    This is a bug report relating to the Acrobat XI Pro Preflight program.

    I have attached two files as an example.
    SOURCE_OUT01.PDF - This file contains a single bookmark linking to page 3 in DESTINATION.PDF
    DESTINATION.PDF - The is the target file of the bookmark located in SOURCE.PDF

    Acrobat XI Pro has no problem using the bookmark. Opening SOURCE_OUT01.PDF and clicking on the bookmark successfully opens DESTINATION.PDF and goes to page 3.

    The problem is that running (Preflight -> PDF analysis -> Report PDF syntax issues) on SOURCE_OUT01.PDF gives the following error:

    Incorrect value type for array element at index N
    General File Format Error
    The array element at index 0 is of incorrect type
    Value 2
    The value at index 0 must be an indirect object
    Value 2

    If you open SOURCE_OUT01.PDF in WordPad and search for "Go to bottom", you will see the "array element at index 0" referred to in the Preflight error is contained in object: 107 0 obj

    Specifically, Preflight thinks the 1st element of array [ 2 /FitH 440 ] must be an indirect object(ex. 9999 0 R) instead of the 2 which points to page 3 in the DESTINATION.PDF.

    According to the PDF manual I'm using:
    Document management — Portable document format — Part 1: PDF 1.7
    First Edition 2008-7-1
    Section: 12.6.4.3 Remote Go-To Actions
    using a page number while doing a Remote Go To Action (/GoToR) is required. Here is what the manual says:

    "If the value is an array defining an explicit destination (as described under 12.3.2.2, “Explicit Destinations”), its first element shall be a page number within the remote document rather than an indirect reference to a page object in the current document. The first page shall be numbered 0"

    This is why I believe Preflight needs to be modified to allow for this legitimate syntax.

    Also, the Acrobat 7 version of Preflight reports SOURCE_OUT01.PDF has no problems. The problem shows up using Acrobat XI Preflight.

20. Synched thumb nail page is not very much recognizable. So why don't you develop to show synched thumbnail page appear clearly

    When user scroll up and down pages, thumb nail page in the left hand pane is not that much recognizable. I think system will be better showing thick solid line surrounded around the thumbnail page even user scroll the page without magnifying it. Hope this will make sense to you guys. It is simply dotted line surrounded, which is not recognizable.
